Purpose:.To determine the relationship of central corneal thickness(CCT), curvature(CC), and intraocular pressure(IOP) as determinative factors for corneal biomechanics and in refractive ***:.The study investigated 48 eyes from subjects who visited the Excimer Laser Surgery Clinic at the Department of Ophthalmology. The refractive error, IOP, CCT, and CC were measured in all participants. After 3 months, all examinations were ***:.Linear regression demonstrated a significant positive relationship between pre- and postoperative CCT,.CC,.and IOP values..The IOP showed a significant correlation with CCT(P=0.033) for pre-PRK, but no significant relationship was seen post-PRK. The CCT also correlated significantly with CC both pre- and post-PRK(Phe IOP was significantly correlated with CCT before PRK, but its behavior differed after surgery. Nearly the same correlation was seen between CCT and CC before and after the PRK;.nevertheless,.IOP measurements should be calculated or estimated more precisely after PRK based on CCT corrections.

Dementia is predominantly a disease of aging with millions of people suffering from dementia and Alzheimer＇s disease （AD） and in recent years little has happened to change and improve the cognitive functions of elderly people （2015 Alzheimer＇s disease facts and figures）. Every 4 seconds there is a new case of dementia in the world and with 7.7 mil- lion cases annually, the estimated global cost of AD and demen- tia disease is $604 billion.

FLATmodel is a 2D finite volume code that contains several original approaches to improve debris-flow simulation. Firstly, FLATmodel incorporates a "stop-and-go" technique in each cell to allow continuous collapses and remobilizations of the debris-flow mass. Secondly, flow velocity and consequently yield stress is directly associated with the type of rheology to improve boundary accuracy. Thirdly, a simple approach for entrainment is also included in the model to analyse the effect of basal erosion of debris flows. FLATmODEL was tested at several events that occurred in the Eastern Pyrenees and simulation results indicated that the model can represent rather well the different characteristics observed in the field.

Objective:To assess the prevalence of malaria parasitemia in north-east Nigeria and to evaluate the measures for the prevention of ***:A village in north-eastern Nigeria was selected for the cross sectional study at the height of the rainy season in October 2011.A total of 550 inhabitants of a hamlet were recruited for this *** obtaining the consent individuals received a structured interview and were tested for malaria parasites in their blood *** testing positive for malaria were given a course of artemesinin-based combination therapy（ACT）.Results:A total of 497 inhabitants representing approximately 90 percent of the population participated:a quarter of the study group carried malaria parasitesexclusively Plasmodium falciparum（***）-representing a *** parasite rate（PfPR） of 24.5%.Besides,53/138 in the age group of 2 to hildren tested positive for *** representing a PfPR2-10 value of 38.4%.malaria control measures were used in just under a third（157/497） of this *** these measures 28/157（17.8%） still tested positive for ***:The malaria burden is overestimated for this region in north-east *** findings support an intermediate pattern of malaria *** 30%bed nets coverage for malaria control is well below the WhO estimates for 2011.

motivated by the need to assess the environmental impact of navigation in the upper mississippi River basin. a method was developed for computing *** in unsteady flows similar to the flows induced by navigation traffic. The method accounts for statistical differences between bed shear stress distributions of steady and unsteady flows. Unsteady pulse flow tests performed in a laboratory flume indicate that the stochastic method works well for predicting entrainment, but not significantly better than a similar deterministic method. Temporal and spatial distributions of bed shear stress were also measured beneath a 1:25 scale model of a 3 barge wide by 5 barge long barge tow for a variety of flow and operating conditions. For one set of flow and operating conditions (PDF test) a large number of realizations were gathered so that statistical properties of the bed shear stress below the propeller axis could be observed. As in the laboratory tests, differences between stochastic and deterministic entrainment predictions were small for the PDF barge tow test. Consequently, deterministic calculations of total sediment entrainment are given for the remaining barge tow tests. Finally. it was found that although the stochastic model presented herein does not offer a large improvement over existing deterministic models, fluctuations in bed shear stress do play an important role in the suspension of sediment, and the timing of sediment entrainment in unsteady flows is more closely related to shear stress fluctuations than it is to the ensemble averaged shear stress.

Radiation Exposure of Leukemia Blood Samples and Its Impacts on the Density of RBC, WBC, and PLT: <i>In Vitro</i>

Complete blood counts were analyzed for 12 samples (six male & six female: Ages 15-40 years) of leukemia blood Samples for different dose rate and time of exposure using a Radium-226 source. Thus, an optimum time of exposure and exposure dose rate has improved for leukemia blood samples. Blood samples fractionated and placed in plastic wills, and melodic Coulter used to analysis exposed leukemia blood samples before and after exposure. Exposure technique involving CR-39 nuclear track detector and radiation survey dosimeter were used to estimate the alpha particle density incident on the blood samples and the exposed dose rate, respectively. In the first part, density of the accumulation of alpha particle on the surface of leukemia blood samples, and on the surface of CR-39NTDs varies exponentially with the exposed dose rate. This depends on the restricted energy loss of the incident alpha particles and target density. Assess an optimum time of exposure dose rate (1100 μSv/h) was the second objective. This depended on the changes in the blood components (PLT, WBC, and RBC) due to irradiation occurred for different durations of irradia-tion, and the duration of irradiation that influenced the leukemia blood samples (1male;16 year and one Female 17 years) in this research was five minutes. Changes in the density of PLT, WBC, and RBC for leukemia blood samples and for different male (five male) and females (five female) was the third part of this research. It was found that the changes were variables due to the exposed dose rate. Optimum exposed dose rate to make more effects on the cancer cells for the leukemia blood samples began at the radiation dose rate of 43.25 1.206 μSv/h for both;male and female relatively, and this due to chromosomal aberration of the exposed cells. Finally, comparison study with the healthy blood samples has been investigated. more details are listed and clarified in the tables and figures of this paper.

We present new,geological,metamorphic,geochemical and geochronological data on the East Anatolian-Lesser Caucasus *** data are used in combination with a synthesis of previous data and numerical modelling to unravel the tectonic emplacement of ophiolites in this *** these data allow the reconstruction of a large obducted ophiolite nappe,thrusted for>100 km and up to 250 km on the Anatolian-Armenian *** ophiolite petrology shows three distinct magmatic series,highlighted by new isotopic and trace element data:(1)The main Early Jurassic Tholeiites(ophiolite s.s.)bear LILEenriched,subduction-modified,mORB chemical *** and petrology of the Tholeiite series substantiates a slow-spreading oceanic environment in a time spanning from the Late Triassic to the middle-Late ***,gabbros and plagiogranites were exhumed by normal faults,and covered by radiolarites,while minor volumes of pillow-lava flows infilled the rift *** towards a subduction-modified geochemical signature suggests emplacement in a marginal basin above a subduction zone.(2)Late Early Cretaceous alkaline lavas conformably emplaced on top of the *** have an OIB *** lavas are featured by large pillow lavas interbedded a carbonate *** show evidence for a large-scale OIB plume activity,which occurred prior to ophiolite obduction.(3)Early-Late Cretaceous calc-alkaline lavas and *** magmatic rocks are found on top of the obducted nappe,above the post-obduction erosion *** series shows similar Sr-Nd isotopic features as the Alkaline series,though having a clear supra-subduction *** are thus interpreted to be the remelting product of a mantle previously contaminated by the OIB *** of data from the Lesser Caucasus to western Anatolia shows a progression from back-arc to arc and fore-arc,which highlight a dissymmetry in the obducted oceanic lithosphere from East to *** metamo
