Pha.e recovery(PR)refers to ca.cula.ing the pha.e of the light field from its intensity mea.urements.a. exemplified from qua.tita.ive pha.e ima.ing a.d coherent diffra.tion ima.ing to a.a.tive optics,PR is essentia. for reconstructing the refra.tive index distribution or topogra.hy of a. object a.d correcting the a.erra.ion of a. ima.ing system.In recent yea.s,deep lea.ning(DL),often implemented through deep neura. networks,ha. provided unprecedented support for computa.iona. ima.ing,lea.ing to more efficient solutions for va.ious PR problems.In this review,we first briefly introduce conventiona. methods for PR.Then,we review how DL provides support for PR from the following three sta.es,na.ely,pre-processing,in-processing,a.d post-processing.We a.so review how DL is used in pha.e ima.e processing.Fina.ly,we summa.ize the work in DL for PR a.d provide a. outlook on how to better use DL to improve the relia.ility a.d efficiency of PR.Furthermore,we present a.live-upda.ing resource(https://***/kqwa.g/pha.e-recovery)for rea.ers to lea.n more a.out PR.

Recently,deep lea.ning ha. yielded tra.sforma.ive success a.ross optics a.d photonics,especia.ly in optica. metrology.Deep neura. networks (DNNs) with a.fully convolutiona. a.chitecture (e.g.,U-Net a.d its deriva.ives) ha.e been widely implemented in a. end-to-end ma.ner to a.complish va.ious optica. metrology ta.ks,such a. fringe denoising,pha.e unwra.ping,a.d fringe a.a.ysis.However,the ta.k of tra.ning a.DNN to a.cura.ely identify a. ima.e-to-ima.e tra.sform from ma.sive input a.d output da.a.pa.rs seems a. best na.ve,a. the physica. la.s governing the ima.e forma.ion or other doma.n expertise perta.ning to the mea.urement ha.e not yet been fully exploited in current deep lea.ning pra.tice.To this end,we introduce a.physics-informed deep lea.ning method for fringe pa.tern a.a.ysis (PI-FPa. to overcome this limit by integra.ing a.lightweight DNN with a.lea.ning-enha.ced Fourier tra.sform profilometry (Le FTP) module.By pa.a.eterizing conventiona. pha.e retrieva. methods,the Le FTP module embeds the prior knowledge in the network structure a.d the loss function to directly provide relia.le pha.e results for new types of sa.ples,while circumventing the requirement of collecting a.la.ge a.ount of high-qua.ity da.a.in supervised lea.ning methods.Guided by the initia. pha.e from Le FTP,the pha.e recovery a.ility of the lightweight DNN is enha.ced to further improve the pha.e a.cura.y a. a.low computa.iona. cost compa.ed with existing end-to-end networks.Experimenta. results demonstra.e tha. PI-FPa.ena.les more a.cura.e a.d computa.iona.ly efficient single-shot pha.e retrieva.,exhibiting its excellent genera.iza.ion to va.ious unseen objects during tra.ning.The proposed PI-FPa.presents tha. cha.lenging issues in optica. metrology ca. be potentia.ly overcome through the synergy of physics-priors-ba.ed tra.itiona. tools a.d da.a.driven lea.ning a.proa.hes,opening new a.enues to a.hieve fa.t a.d a.cura.e single-shot 3D ima.ing.

Na.ura. stone a.grega.e forms the bulk volume of concrete a.d ha. contributed to the increa.ed cost of concrete production. This ha. led to the sea.ch for a.terna.e a.grega.es such a. la.eritic stone for concrete production. This pa.er investiga.es the engineering properties of concrete produced with la.eritic a.grega.e (La. a. the coa.se a.grega.e repla.ement a.d coconut husk fibre (CHF) a. reinforcement. Na.ura. stone a.grega.e wa. repla.ed by La.a. 0%, 10%, 20%, 30%, 40%, a.d 50%, with 0.25% consta.t CHF by weight. a.mix proportion of 1:1.5:3 with a.wa.er-cement ra.io of 0.6 wa. used for producing concrete. a.tota. of 162 specimens (90 cubes a.d 72 bea.s) were prepa.ed a.d tested a. the 7, 14, 21, a.d 28 da.s of curing. The highest compressive strength wa. 43.36 N/mm2 (10% La.repla.ement) a. compa.ed to the control of 41.51 N/mm2. The 10% La.repla.ement obta.ned the highest flexura. strength of 5.35 N/mm2 a. compa.ed with the 5.29 N/mm2 for the control. The wa.er a.sorption of the concrete increa.ed from 2.8% (control) to 3.57% (50% repla.ement La.. Sca.ning electron microscopy (SEM) revea.ed micro ga.s between CHF a.d La.concrete. The study, therefore, concludes tha. the use of La.a.d CHF positively influenced the strength properties of concrete. 10% La.repla.ement of coa.se a.grega.e a.d 0.25% CHF is recommended to pra.titioners for use.

The dyna.ic cha.a.teristics of cooking-rela.ed pa.ticle size distributions in rea.-world settings a.e not fully understood.Through a.rea.-world ca.pa.gn in a.na.ura.ly-ventila.ed a.a.tment in the northwest US,this study investiga.es the tempora. profiles of size-resolved pa.ticle number concentra.ions(PNCs)ra.ging from 0.3 to 10µm from frying cooking a.tivities.The cooking scena.ios included va.ious combina.ions of window ventila.ion,venting ra.ge hood(VRH)use,a.d porta.le a.r clea.er(Pa.)utiliza.ion.Following a.sta.da.dized pa.-frying protocol throughout seven scena.ios,rea.-time PNCs of 16-size bins were mea.ured in the kitchen.The PNCs were empirica.ly compa.ed a.ong size bins,periods,a.d scena.ios.The most a.unda.t size ra.ges of cooking-rela.ed pa.ticles were 0.3–0.579µm in number(45%–71%of the tota.)a.d 2.685–5.182µm in ma.s(48%–57%of the tota.).Compa.ed with the scena.io without a.y cooking-fume mitiga.ing mea.ures,keeping the kitchen windows open reduced the mea. PNCs during a.d within 1-h a.ter cooking for PM_(0.3-2.5),PM_(2.5-10),a.d PM_(0.3-10)by 78%,92%,a.d 79%,respectively.By contra.t,utilizing a.VRH during cooking reduced the corresponding levels by 21%,69%,a.d 25%,respectively.Combined with running the VRH,using a.Pa. in the kitchen led to a.ditiona. reductions of 84%,88%,a.d 84%,respectively.a.ditiona.ly,the remova. efficiencies of the three stra.egies genera.ly increa.ed with pa.ticle sizes.

Objective:To design a.device to increa.e the a.cura.y of the ta.geting process a.d reduce the ra.ia.ion exposure to both the pa.ients a.d the medica. sta.f.Methods:We a.a.yzed the inherent problem a.d designed the Externa. a.sist Ta.geting Device(Ea.D)to a.sist in the a.ignment of needle ta.geting on the desired rena. ca.yx under fluoroscopic guida.ce.The Ea.D wa. designed to a.low ra.id a.d precise a.cess to ca.yces a. a.l a.gles,with a.simple two-step puncture protocol developed for puncturing a.ta.get rena. ca.yx.We then tested the device in a.pilot huma. tria. with four pa.ients.Results:In experiments with pha.tom models,the time for successful ta.geting wa. reduced by 31%using the device.The mea. fluoroscopic time wa. reduced by 40%.In initia. huma. tria.,the puncture time wa. shortened by 66%a.d the ra.ia.ion dose wa. decrea.ed by 65%compa.ed to free-ha.d technique.No complica.ion wa. observed during the tria..Conclusion:The Ea.D wa. found to be cost effective,porta.le,simple to set up,a.d sa.e to opera.e for a.sisting in the percuta.eous nephrolithotomy procedures.Our prelimina.y tests showed high degree of a.cura.y in ga.ning precise a.cess to a.ta.geted rena. ca.yx with much shorter time a.d lesser ra.ia.ion dose.The Ea.D a.so ha. the potentia. to be used to a.cess other orga.s with precision under fluoroscopic guida.ce.

Core-shell-type bimeta.lic oxide a.d ca.bon composites comprising zinc oxide(ZnO)na.ospheres a.d zinc ma.ga.ese oxide(ZnMn_(2)O_(4))na.owires were produced by a.hydrotherma. method,a.d supersoni-ca.ly spra.ed together with reduced gra.hene oxide(rGO)na.osheets onto Ni foil to fa.rica.e flexible su-perca.a.itors.The supersonic impa.t fa.ilita.ed the exfolia.ion of the rGO na.osheets,thereby increa.ing the surfa.e a.ea.a.d a.hesion of the composite pa.ticles to the substra.e.The rGO na.osheets were vertica.ly a.igned during the supersonic impa.t a.d formed loca.ized zones,ena.ling optima. a.commoda.ion of the ZnO/ZnMn_(2)O_(4)pa.ticles.This loca.iza.ion,with the a.dition of rGO,reduced the a.glomera.ion of ZnO/ZnMn_(2)O_(4)pa.ticles.The mola. concentra.ion of MnSO_(4)used in the synthesis of ZnO/ZnMn_(2)O_(4)wa. va.ied from 0.05 to 0.15 mol/L to determine the optima. MnSO_(4)concentra.ion tha. would result in the highest energy stora.e ca.a.ita.ce.The unique na.ostructure of ZnO/ZnMn_(2)O_(4)a.d the self-a.ignment of rGO sheets fa.ilita.ed a.fa.ora.le environment for high energy stora.e ca.a.ility with a.specific ca.a.i-ta.ce of 276.3 mF·cm^(−2)a. a.current density of 0.5 ma.cm^(−2)a.d a. energy density of 98.2μWh·cm^(−2)a. a.power density of 1600μW·cm^(−2).The width of the potentia. window wa. increa.ed to 1.2 V,imply-ing a.significa.t increa.e in the energy stora.e ca.a.ility of the superca.a.itor.Ca.a.ita.ce retention of 88%wa. a.hieved a.ter 10,000 cha.ge/discha.ge cycles for the superca.a.itor fa.rica.ed using a. optima.
