Indian medicinal plants are referred to as the“nectar of life”owing to their phytochemicals and bioactive complexes that are beneficial in treating *** disease 2019(COVID-19)is a global health issue without any proper *** indigenous plants of India can be exploited to control the precise signs of *** ministry of AYUSH(Ayurveda,Yoga and Naturopathy,Unani,Siddha,and Homeopathy)has advised routine usage of medicinal plants for *** plants like Zingiber officinalis,Azadirachta indica,Ocimum sanctum,Nigella sativa,Withania somnifera,Curcuma longa,Piper nigrum,Allium sativum,Tinospora cordifolia,*** immunity-boosting,antiviral,antibacterial,antioxidant and anti-inflammatory actions that can suppress and treat symptoms of *** vitro,in vivo as well as in silico validation,these phytochemicals can help us to manage and treat COVID-19 *** integration of traditional knowledge in the prophylaxis of corona infection and current skills validating it for the development of precise and powerful therapeutic approaches will more efficiently resolve different clinical aspects of *** review focuses on both traditional and emergent methods to prevent and treat COVID-19 with various Indian medicinal plants along with their phytochemicals.

The scientific literature presents a modest amount ot evidence m the use or complementary ana al[erna- tire medicine （CAm）. On the other hand, in practice, relevant results are common. The debates among CAm practitioners about the quality and execution of scientific research are important, Therefore, the aim of this review is to gather, synthesize and describe the differentiated methodological models that encompass the complexity of therapeutic interventions. The process of bringing evidence-based medicine into clinical practice in CAm is essential for the growth and strengthening of complementary medicines worldwide.

The present study aims to demonstrate the chemical composition of the ethanolic extract of Sarcomphalus joazeiro bark and to evaluate its antibacterial and antibiofilm *** that,the ethanolic extract of the stem bark was prepared,and chemical characterization was carried out in *** inhibitory concentration and antibiotic modification test were performed by the microdilution *** and antiformation assays were evaluated by the crystal violet *** the chemical characterization,the presence of 24 peaks was *** activity showed minimum inhibitory concentration≥2048μg/*** the evaluations of the potentiating activity,synergism was the most *** the formation analysis,it was observed that most strains showed moderate biofilm *** was concluded that saponin derivatives are the major secondary metabolites in the analyzed extract and that it presents relevant synergism with the antibiotics studied and a significant ability to inhibit bacterial biofilm formation.

Gastric cancer usually is diagnosed in advanced stages and thus current medical practice affords limited therapeutic ***,recent studies established the role of human epidermal growth factor receptor 2(HER2)in clinical ***,an antiHER2 monoclonal antibody,acquired a main role in advanced gastric cancer harboring HER2 overexpression and/or amplification improving survival to 17.1 mo according to trastuzumab for gastric cancer phaseⅢtrial ***,new promising drugs,such as c-met inhibitors,are in development and assessment for this ***,novel drugs will emerge in the next feel years for help oncologists improve clinical management of advanced gastric cancer providing higher survival and quality of *** this mini-review we will discuss some issues in this regard and provide an actual overview of this setting.

Study of the efficacy of Korean Red Ginseng in the treatment of erectile dysfunction

Aim： To examine the treatment efficacy of Korean Red Ginseng （KRG） in impotent men with erectile dysfunction （ED）. methods： A total of 60 patients presenting mild or mild to moderate ED were enrolled in a double-blind, placebo-controlled study in which the efficacies of KRG and a placebo were compared. The patients received either 1 000 mg （3 times daily） of KRG or a placebo. Results： The five-item version of the International Index of Erectile Function （IIEF-5） score after the treatment was significantly higher in the KRG group compared with that before the treatment （from 16.4±2.9 to 21.0±6.3, P 〈 0.0001）. In contrast, there was no difference before and after the treatment in the placebo group （from 17.0±3.1 to 17.7±5.6, P 〉 0.05）. In the KRG group, 20 patients （66.6%）, reported improved erection, significant in the global efficacy question （P 〈 0.01）; in the placebo group there was no significance. Scores on questions 2 （rigidity）, 3 （penetration）, 4 and 5 （maintenance）, were significantly higher for KRG than those for the placebo when those questions were answered after 12 weeks of each treatment （P 〈 0.01）. When the score in the KRG group was compared to the placebo group after the treatment, there was a significant improvement in total score （IIEF-5 score） in questions 3 and 5 for the KRG-treated group （P 〈 0.001 and P 〈 0.0001, respectively）. The levels of serum testosterone, prolactine and cholesterol after the treatment were not statistically significant different between the KRG and the placebo group （P 〉 0.05）. Conclusion： Our data show that KRG can be an effective alternative to the invasive approaches for treating male ED.

Chitosan and Carboxymethylchitosan as High Turbidity Water Biocoagulants

Biocoagulants emerges as a promising technology in water treatment,in order to exploit renewable and biodegradable *** present work aims to study the coagulant action of chitosan and carboxymethylchitosan on water with very high turbidity(above 300 NTU),contrasting the physicochemical results with those obtained for aluminum *** was produced by the Williamson’s ethers synthesis and characterized by potentiometric titration,FTIR and 1 *** coagulant tests were performed using synthetic water in a Jar-test equipment,through the induction of high and low velocity gradients,followed by *** results showed turbidity and color removal efficiencies above 99%for the biocoagulants,by applying dosages much lower than those used for aluminum sulphate;the volume of sedimentable solids obtained at the end of the water treatment process was much lower when chitosan and carboxymethylchitosan were used as coagulants(reduction of 25%when compared to aluminum sulphate).In summary,carboxymethylchitosan is a non-toxic,renewable,biodegradable material with high efficiency as a coagulant for waters with very high turbidity,showing promise for in natura applications.

Colorectal cancer(CRC)has high incidence and mortality *** 2012,CRC was the second most prevalent cancer among males(9%)and the third among females(8%).In recent decades,standard chemotherapies protocols combining 5-fluorouracil,leucovorin,irinotecan and oxaliplatin were important for improve survival in this set of ***,biological drugs throughout epidermal growth factor receptor(EGFR)pathways showed interesting results in metastatic disease(mCRC)control when in association to standard chemotherapy *** and panitumumab are two cornerstones for mCRC treatment and are both approved in Europe and United States based on previous results phaseⅢ*** paper will briefly summarize those anti-EGFR therapies framework in mCRC and discusses some issues in this regard.

Osmoporation is a novel encapsulation approach for bioactive compounds based on the osmoresistance mechanisms of microbial *** the best of our knowledge,this is the first study investigating the production of fisetin-enriched yoghurt using Lactobacillus acidophilus-based bio-capsules via osmoporation as the starter *** showed that the milk acidification with fisetin-loaded *** progressed at a slower pace due to complex mechanisms induced by osmopo-ration and internalized *** fermentation using fisetin bio-capsules reached a maximum acidification rate of 0.18 pH units/h after 23 h and pH 4.6 was achieved after 32 ***,the antioxidant activity of yoghurts produced with fisetin bio-capsules did not change during cold storage,while the antioxidant activity of yoghurt produced with non-encapsulated fisetin was reduced by 2.5-fold after 28 ***,this study shows that fisetin osmoporation using *** is a versatile encapsulation bioprocess that enables the delivery of preserved phytoactives into fermented foods like *** strategy has the potential to be extended to other applications in the dairy industry using lactic acid bacteria as both the encapsulation matrix and fermentation agent.

Prediction of Forming Limit Diagrams for materials with HCP Structure

The forming limit diagram（FLD） is an important tool to be used when characterizing the formability of metallic sheets used in metal forming processes. Experimental measurement and determination of the FLD is timeconsuming and therefore the analytical prediction based on theory of plasticity and instability criteria allows a direct and efficient methodology to obtain critical values at different loading paths, thus carrying significant practical ***, the accuracy of the plastic instability prediction is strongly dependent on the choice of the material constitutive model [1–3]. Particularly for materials with hexagonal close packed（HCP） crystallographic structure, they have a very limited number of active slip systems at room temperature and demonstrate a strong asymmetry between yielding in tension and compression [4, 5]. Not only the magnitude of the yield locus changes, but also the shape of the yield surface is evolving during the plastic deformation [4]. Conventional phenomenological constitutive models of plasticity fail to capture this unconventional mechanical behavior [4, 6]. Cazacu and Plunkett [6] have proposed generic yield criteria, by using the transformed principal stress, to account for the initial plastic anisotropy and strength differential（SD） effect simultaneously. In this contribution, a generic FLD mATLAB script was developed based on marciniak–Kuczynski analytical theory and applied to predict the localized necking. The influence of asymmetrical effect on the FLD was evaluated. Several yield functions such as von mises, Hill, Barlat89, and Cazacu06 were incorporated into analysis. The paper also presents and discusses the influence of different hardening laws on the formability of materials with HCP crystal structures. The findings indicate that the plastic instability theory coupled with Cazacu model can adequately predict the onset of localized necking for HCP materials under different strain paths.

Retention and mobility of Copper and Lead in Soils as Influenced by Soil Horizon Properties

The mobility and bioavailability of heavy metals in soils is largely governed by sorption and desorption ***2+ and Pb2+ are among the most potentially toxic heavy metals and they are present,often concomitantly,in many polluting spills and in *** objective was to assess and compare the competitive sorption and desorption capacities and sorption hysteresis of Cu2+ and Pb2+,as well as their migration through the profiles of four natural soils:a Humic Umbrisol,an Umbric Cambisol,an Endoleptic Luvisol and a Humic *** all horizons Pb2+ was invariably sorbed and retained to a greater extent than Cu2+.The sorption and retention of Cu2+ were most in?uenced by pH,e?ective cation exchange capacity(CECe) and mn oxide *** the other hand,the fixation capacity of Pb2+ was most in?uenced by pH,CECe,and mn oxide and organic matter *** and CECe were the individual soil properties most markedly in?uencing Cu2+ and Pb2+ sorption and *** all the horizons Pb2+ exhibited greater hysteresis than Cu2+.In each soil the hysteresis in the A horizon was greater than that in the B horizon,except in the Bt horizon of the Endoleptic Luvisol,due to its high pH and vermiculite *** on migration indices,Pb2+ was less mobile than Cu2+ in the studied soils.
