Although different types of powder feedstock are used for additive manufacturing via laser powder bed fusion(L-PBF),limited work has attempted to directly compare the microstructure and mechanical behavior of components manufactured from those powder *** work investigated the microstructure,phase composition,melt pool morphology,and mechanical properties of a prealloyed Ti-35Nb alloy manufactured using L-PBF and compared these to their counterparts produced from elemental powder *** samples manufactured from the powder mixture are composed of randomly distributed undissolved Nb in theα/βmatrix,resulting from the unstable melt pool during the melting of the powder *** contrast,parts produced from prealloyed powder display a homogeneous microstructure withβandαphases,owing to the full melting of prealloyed powder,therefore,a more stable melt pool to achieve a homogeneous *** Ti-35Nb manufactured from prealloyed powder exhibits large tensile ductility(about 10 times that of the counterparts using mixed powder),attributed to the high homogeneity in microstructure and chemical composition,strong interface bonding,relatively low oxygen content,and the existence of a large amount ofβ*** work sheds insights into understanding the effect of powder feedstock on the melt pool stability therefore the microstructure and mechanical behavior of the resultant parts.

Genetic Diversity in <i>Jatropha platyphylla</i>Accessions Based on Morphological Traits and Inter-Simple Sequence Repeats Molecular Markers

Seven accessions of Jatropha platyphylla were evaluated for their phenotypic traits and genetic diversity using inter-simple sequence repeats (ISSRs). cluster analyses with nine traits were performed: number of branches per plant;fruit per bunch;bunch per branch;bunch per plant;total seed production;total fruit production, protein content, oil content, and fatty acid profile. Genotypes from Rosario, Sinaloa, Mexico (PR11) yielded the highest values in all traits. The correlation analysis of the quantitative traits showed high correlations between seed and total fruit production (r = 0.99). Unsaturated linoleic acid was the most abundant fatty acid (57.64% - 52.39%). Within a genetic improvement program, two of the most important variables to be considered are oil content and phenotypic characteristics of the plant. J. platyphylla has shown viable selection traits that provide a possibility of producing interspecies hybrids and giving them added value. ISSRs primers generated variable banding patterns that were found to be polymorphic;the polymorphic information content (PIc) of these loci ranged from 0.21 to 0.45 with an average of 0.34. The unweighted pair group method (UPGMA) cluster analysis of the data showed the formation of three groups, where the most divergent accession pair was the genotype from Quelite (QP11) and Rosario (PR11).

The knowledge of the soil quality plays a vital role in the agricultural sector. Despite its importance, there is scarce scientific information concerning this regard. The objective of this research is to develop a methodology to identify and select the most appropriate indicators of Soil Quality Index (SQI) in a region with high agricultural activity. For its conformation, a descriptive statistical analysis and a Pearson correlation matrix were performed and the indicators that showed greater variation were identified using a Principal components Analysis (PcA). A sensitivity analysis was carried out and the most sensible soil indicators of?SQI?were identified. This statistical procedure was also used to specify the weights of the indicators in?SQI. The variables resulting from the multiparametric statistical analysis were ph, organic matter, sodium, calcium, iron, zinc, cation exchange capacity and electrical conductivity. The robustness of the?SQI?obtained in this study was demonstrated through simulations carried out by the numerical optimization through simplex method. The Soil Quality Index range obtained (0.54 - 0.75) locates culiacan Valley soils as moderate/high quality.

AIM: To determine the presence of helicobacter species DNA in the liver of chronic hepatitis c (chc) patients with and without cirrhosis as compared to controls, and to identify the bacterial species involved. METhODS: Seventy-nine consecutive patients (hBV and hIV negative) with a liver sample obtained after liver biopsy or hepatic resection were studied: 41 with chc without cirrhosis, 12 with chc and cirrhosis, and 26 controls (hcV negative). Polymerase chain reactions (PcRs) targeting helicobacter 16S rDNA and species- specific were performed on DNA extracted from the liver. A gastric infection with h pylori was determined by serology and confirmed by 13c-urea breath test. RESULTS: Overall, helicobacter 16S rDNA was found in 16 patients (20.2%). Although positive cases tended to be higher in chc patients with cirrhosis (41.6%) than in those without cirrhosis (17.0%) or in controls (15.4%), the difference was not statistically significant (P =0.08). h pylori-like DNA was identified in 12 cases and h. pullorum DNA in 2, while 2 cases remained unidenti- fied. Gastric infection with h pylori was found in only 2 of these patients. cONcLUSION: Our results do not confirm the associ- ation of helicobacter species DNA in the liver of chc patients with advanced liver disease. The lack of correlation between positive h pylori serology and the presence of h pylori-like DNA in the liver may indicate the presence of a variant of this species.

Strong enhancement on dye photocatalytic degradation by ball-milled TiO2:A study of cationic and anionic dyes

TiO2 particles with desirable properties were produced by undergoing specific durations of ball *** of the TiO2 particles before and after ball milling were investigated via X-ray diffraction（XRD）, Brunauer-Emmett-Teller（BET）, particle size analysis, zeta potential, and scanning electron microscope（SEM）. The equilibrium adsorption data were well fitted to Langmuir, Freundlich, and Dubinin-Radushkevich（D-R） isotherms. compared to the as-received TiO2（mean particle size d150= 0.78μm, specific surface area = 88.17 m^2g-1, pore volume = 0.41 cm^3g-1）, the 60 min ballmilled TiO2（d50= 0.55 μm, specific surface area = 99.48 m2g-1, pore volume = 0.48 cm3g-1） enhanced the adsorption quantity of congo red and methylene blue from 10.4 mg g-1to 13.6 mg g-1, and from17.0 mg g-1to 22.2 mg g-1, respectively; and also improved the kinetic rates from k = 0.1325 to 0.2193, and k = 0.0944 to 0.1553, respectively. Dye adsorption and degradation efficiency of congo red was enhanced in acidic p h range（2–5.14）, and methylene blue was enhanced in alkaline p h range（7.58–12）.

Purpose To date,no study has investigated the extent to which sleep-wake behaviour(SWB)influences match performance in junior tennis *** study aimed to assess the influence of SWB for the week and night before on match performance,particularly match analytics and *** This study recruited 10 junior state grade tennis players who wore an actigraphy device and completed a sleep diary for the week before their match on two separate occasions throughout their competition *** wore a global positioning system device to track their movement during matches,and an experienced tennis coach recorded players'match *** This study showed that the sleep fragmentation index was significantly lower the week before matches in females who had won than those who had ***,the sleep fragmentation index was significantly lower the night before a given match than the week *** sleep fragmentation index and sleep latency significantly influenced match performance in junior tennis *** percentage of second serves points won differed between match wins and losses for male players,while winners and forced errors differed for female *** These findings provide a detailed profile of tennis match play in junior state grade *** individual differences,reduced restlessness the night before a match coincides with increased match performance.

The main objective of this investigation was to study the time effect during solid state bioconversion (SSB) on total phenolics content (TPc) and antioxidant activity (AoxA) of common beans to improve antihypertensive functionality. cooked cotyledons of dehulled common beans were inoculated with a suspension of R. oligosporus NRRL 2710 (1 × 106 spores/mL), and incubated at 35℃ for times of 24, 36, 48, 60, 72, 84, 96 and 108 h (after 108 h the cotyledons showed off odor). Flours from bioprocessed dehulled common bean from each incubation time were blended with their corresponding milled seed coats. The best time for producing bioprocessed common bean (added with seed coats) functional flour with the highest AoxA (ORAc value = 17,468 μmol Trolox equivalents (TE)/100 gsample, dw;ABTS value = 13,505 μmol TE/100 gsample, dw) was 108 h. The SSB process substantially increased TPc and total hydrophilic AoxA and antihypertensive potential of common beans in 2.24, 2.45 - 2.73 and 6769 times, respectively. Proteins hydrolyzates from unprocessed whole and bioprocessed (108 h) common beans had Ic50 [concentration needed to inhibit 50% the activity of angiotensin converting enzyme (AcE)] of 79.2 and 0.0117 μg/mL, respectively. The SSB is an efective strategy to improve the TPc of common beans for enhanced functionality with improved antioxidant activity and antihypertensive potential.

The antioxidant activity and the total phenolic content of Okoubaka aubrevillei(Anunuebe)and Pychnobotrya nitida(Osu)plant extracts were investigated in this study to justify their ethno medicinal *** antioxidant activity of crude extracts of both plants was investigated using the scavenging effect on DPPh(2,2-Diphenyl-1-Picrylhydrazyl Radical)assay,while the total phenolic content was determined by the Folin-ciocalteu reagent *** compared to standard drug vitamin c at various concentrations,both extracts exhibited potent antioxidant activity that increased with increasing concentration of *** high positive linear correlation between the antioxidant capacity and the total phenolic content suggests that the antioxidant capacity of both plants can be largely attributed to their phenolic *** on these findings,*** fruit and *** leaf could be potential natural antioxidant sources for preventing free radical-induced diseases.
