This paper focuses on the study of the effect of modification of Oil Palm Empty Fruit Bunch(OPEFB)and sugarcane bagasse(SCB)biomass as potential reinforcement for composites panel and thermal *** fibres were treated with three types of chemicals:2%silane,4%h2O2 and 4%h2O2-2%silane for 3 *** influence of modified fibres content in composites was examined by structural changes using image analyser,Fourier transform infrared(FTIR),Scanning Electron Microscopy(SEM),tensile,interracial shear strength(IFSS)and thermal *** diameter of both fibres was reduced after treatment and showed decreasing of lignin and hemi-cellulose in *** strength has been increased by 2%silane treatment for both fibres and 4%h2O2 treatment displays higher result for *** properties of treated SCB fibre with silane display higher residual content and better thermal *** charac-terization showed that 2%silane treatment removed silica bodies of OPEFB fibre while 4%h2O2 treatment uniformly filled porosity of SCB ***,results revealed that treated OPEFB fibre is enough to improve compatibility and mechanical properties,while treated SCB fibre was effective in thermal stability for fabrication of composite materials.

Analysis of Turbulence and Surface growth Models on the Estimation of Soot Level in Ethylene Non-Premixed Flames

Soot prediction in a combustion system has become a subject of attention, as many factors influence its accuracy. An accurate temperature prediction will likely yield better soot predictions, since the inception, growth and de- struction of the soot are affected by the temperature. This paper reported the study on the influences of turbulence closure and surface growth models on the prediction of soot levels in turbulent flames. The results demonstrated that a substantial distinction was observed in terms of temperature predictions derived using the k-c and the Rey- nolds stress models, for the two ethylene flames studied here amongst the four types of surface growth rate model investigated, the assumption of the soot surface growth rate proportional to the particle number density, but inde- pendent on the surface area of soot particles,f（As） = pNs, yields in closest agreement with the radial data. Without any adjustment to the constants in the surface growth term, other approaches where the surface growth directly proportional to the surface area and square root of surface area, f （As） = As and f （A,） = √As, result in an un- der-prediction of soot volume fraction. These results suggest that predictions of soot volume fraction are sensitive to the modelling of surface growth.

BACKgROUND Binge-eating disorder(BED)is a clinical syndrome and is considered the most common type of eating ***,our understanding of the global performance and progress of BED research is *** To describe and perform a bibliometric analysis of the state of BED *** The term‘Binge eating’was searched in the title throughout the previous year’s up to December 31,*** searched the Scopus and Reference Citation Analysis for publications on Binge *** VOSviewer software version 1.6.17 was used to produce the network visualization map of the most frequent author,collaborative relationships between countries/regions,and to determine the hotspots related to binge eating *** addition,conventional bibliometric indicators were *** The search strategy found 2713 total articles and an average of 62 articles per *** them,‘Article’represented 82.49%of the publications(n=2238 articles)and was the most frequent type,followed by reviews(n=243;8.96%).The number of publications increased steadily during the last decade of the study *** hundred and thirty-two countries contributed to binge eating research,with 1495(55.11%)articles published in the United States,followed by Italy with 256(9.44%),the United Kingdom with 183(6.75%),and germany with 182(6.71%).Currently,the main hot topics related to BED are‘type of treatment and management and treatment provided to BED”;“processes and pathways to binge eating”;and‘diagnosis,signs and symptoms,comorbidities and prevalence and associated factors with BED’.CONCLUSION The number of publications has increased noticeably during the previous *** are indeed relatively few publications on BED from low-and middle-income nations,so much is to be learned from the experience of all *** on this topic are critical in all countries to discover risk factors and effective intervention *** our findings are preliminary,they imply that the future

The need for the rapid assessment of the photosynthetic pigment contents in plants has encouraged the development of studies to produce nondestructive quantification *** need is driven by the fact that data on the photosynthetic pigment contents can provide a variety of important information that is related to plant *** deep chemometrics,we developed a novel one-dimensional convolutional neural network(CNN)model to predict the photosynthetic pigment contents in a nondestructive and real-time *** leaf reflectance spectra from spectroscopic measurements were used as the *** prediction was simultaneously carried out for three main photosynthetic pigments,i.e.,chlorophyll,carotenoid and *** experimental results show that the prediction accuracy is very satisfying,with a mean absolute error(MAE)=0.0122±0.0004 for training and 0.0321±0.0022 for validation(data range of 0–1).

BACKgROUND Insulin resistance is a risk factor for metabolic syndromes and is associated with a wide variety of metabolic illnesses,including obesity,type 2 diabetes,and cardiovascular *** To investigate and map global insulin resistance *** A bibliometric methodology was applied to the literature retrieved from the Scopus database and Reference Citation Analysis(https://***)by using a validated search *** study period was limited from 2002 to *** indicators and mapping were *** A total of 26808 articles on the topic of insulin resistance were included in the Scopus *** articles included research articles(n=21918;81.76%),review articles(n=2641;9.85%),and letters(n=653;2.44%).During the study period,136 countries contributed to the research on insulin *** highest number of articles was from the United States(n=7360;27.45%),followed by China(n=3713;13.85%),Japan(n=1730,6.45%),Italy(n=1545;5.54%),and the United Kingdom(n=1484;5.54%).The retrieved articles identified two main research themes:“inflammatory mechanisms in the regulation of insulin resistance”and“mechanisms linking obesity to insulin resistance”.CONCLUSION Our data show that insulin resistance has steadily gained interest from researchers,as evidenced by the number of citations and yearly *** have grown significantly in the last decade,while low-income countries with greater burdens continue to produce fewer publications in this *** approach might assist researchers in choosing new research areas and recognizing research hotspots and *** the future,perhaps high-quality clinical evidence will be acquired.

Cancer stem cells in helicobacter pylori infection and aging: Implications for gastric carcinogenesis

AIM: To demonstrated the combined effects of aging and carcinogen treatment on cancer stem/stem-like cells(CSCs) of gastric mucosa in an animal model. METhODS: In this study we investigated the effects of aging and helicobacter pylori(h. pylori) inflammation as a model for inflammation induced carcinogenesis in human and rat gastric mucosa samples. In aging studies, we compared 4-mo old(young) with 22 mo(aged) old Fischer-344 rats. For human studies, gastric biop-sies and resection specimens representing normal mucosa or different stages of h. pylori gastritis and gastric adenocarcinomas were used for determining the expression of stem cell markers CD166, ALDh1 and LgR5. In addition we performed immunofluorescent double labeling for B-catenin and Lgr5 in both rat and human gastric tissues to examine the status of Wnt signaling in these cells. RESULTS: CSC markers ALDh1, LgR5, and CD166 were expressed in very low levels in normal human gastric mucosa or young rat gastric mucosa. In contrast, level of expression for all three markers significantly increased in h. pylori gastritis and gastric adenocarcinomas as well as in normal gastric mucosa in aged rats. We also observed cytoplasmic B-catenin staining in both aged rat and human h. pylori inflamed gastric mucosa, which were found to be colocalized with Lgr5 immunoreactive cells. The increased number of ALDh1, CD166 and LgR5 positive cells in h. pylori gastritis indicates that increased number of stem-like cells in gastric mucosa is an early event, and may constitute an important step in the progression to neoplasia. CONCLUSION: Our observation of the age-related increase in cancer stem/stem-like cells in the gastric mucosa may explain the increased incidence of gastric cancer during aging. Combination of aging and h. pylori infection may have additive effects in progression to neoplasia.
