Salmonella enterica has a wide diversity,with numerous serovars belonging to six different subspecies with dynamic animal-host *** FimH protein is the adhesin mediating binding to various cells,and slight amino acid discrepancy significantly affects the adherence *** date,the general function of FimH variability across dif-ferent subspecies of Salmonella enterica has not been *** investigate the biological functions of FimH among the six Salmonella enterica subspecies,the present study performed several assays to determine biofilm for-mation,Caenorhabditis elegans killing,and intestinal porcine enterocyte cell IPEC-J2 adhesion by using various FimH allele *** general,allelic mutations in both the lectin and pilin domains of FimH could cause changes in bind-ing affnity,such as the N79S *** also observed that the N79S variation in Salmonella dublin increased the adhesive ability of IPEC-J2 ***,a new amino acid substitution,T260M,within the pilin domain in one subspecies llb strain beneficial to binding to cells was highlighted in this study,even though the biofilm-forming and Caenorhabditis elegans-killing abilities exhibited no significant differences in *** with point muta-tions being a natural tendency due to positive selection in harsh environments,we speculate that allelic variation T26oM probably contributes to pathoadaptive evolution in Salmonella enterica subspecies llb.

This paper introduces a new enhanced Arabic stemming algorithm for solving the information retrieval problem,especially in medical *** proposed algorithm is a light stemming algorithm for extracting stems and roots from the input *** of the main challenges facing the light stemming algorithm is cutting off the input word,to extract the initial *** initiating the light stemmer with strong initial segments,the final extracting stems and roots will be more ***,a new enhanced segmentation based on deploying the direct Acyclic Graph(dAG)model is *** addition to extracting the powerful initial segments,the main two procedures(i.e.,stems and roots extraction),should be also reinforced with more efficient operators to improve the final *** validate the proposed enhanced stemmer,four data sets are *** achieved stems and roots resulted from our proposed light stemmer are compared with the results obtained from five other well-known Arabic light stemmers using the same data *** evaluation process proved that the proposed enhanced stemmer outperformed other comparative stemmers.

Computer Based Assessment (CBA) is being a very popular method to evaluate students’ performance at the university level. This research aims to examine the constructs that affect students’ intention to use the CBA. The proposed model is based on previous technology models such as Technology Acceptance Model (TAM), Theory of Planned Behavior (TPB), and Unified Theory of Acceptance and Usage of Technology (TAUT). The proposed CBA model is based on nine variables: Goal Expectancy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Computer Self Efficacy, Content, Perceived Usefulness, Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Playfulness, and Behavioral Intention. data were collected using a survey questionnaire from 546 participants who had used the computer based exam system at the University of Jordan. Results indicate that Perceived Playfulness has a direct effect on CBA use. Perceived Ease of Use, Perceived Usefulness, Computer Self Efficacy, Social Influence, Facilitating Conditions, Content and Goal Expectancy have only indirect effects. The study concludes that a system is more likely to be used by students if it is playful and CBA is more likely to be playful when it is easy to use and useful. Finally, the studied acceptance model for computer based assessment explains approximately only 10% of the variance of behavioral intention to use CBA.

This study investigates the status of digital divide amongst Jordanian Telecentres. The objective of this study is to analyze the impact of the perceived usefulness, the perceived ease-of-use and the facilitating conditions on the behavioral intention of employees. In addition, the study investigates the effect of the three mentioned factors on the user acceptance while the behavioral intention on the user acceptance is used as a mediating factor. The proposed research model was validated by distributing 150 survey questionnaires to the Telecentres in Jordan. Structural equation modeling (SEM) technique was used to analyze the results. One of the main limitations of this study is that the results cannot be universal since the study was limited to Jordan. Similar study needs to be conducted in different courtiers to either support or negate our results.

The paper reports on a survey study which examines architectural education trends arising from the changes in CAd management in architectural schools in *** findings reflect selected results from the views of thirteen(13)architecture faculties/schools through a nation-wide questionnaire *** survey was structured to cover both private and public universities in Jordan,represented by faculties of engineering,architecture and ***,the main findings of this study are summarized under six areas,some of which are demographic and socioeconomic factors,CAd competences amongst both staff and students,and CAd and social *** study found traditional trends in CAd teaching in connection with conventional thinking,some highlighted results were mainly concentrated in the lack of CAd improvement in curricula and teaching methodologies amongst *** majority of student respondents were females(144)(53.3%).The CAd packages found to be most highly used throughout universities were AutoCAd,3d Max,Sketch-up,and Adobe *** importance of new technologies,electronic book,and the social network aspects in enhancing CAd and 3d modeling software integration with the design studio was affirmed yet no relationship to the gender was noted.
