This study aimed to characterize the morphological changes in the ovary of the female crab Neptunus pelagicus and to identify specific fractions of vitelloginin and vitelline molecules during primary and secondary *** of the blue crab were collected from the mediterranean Sea of Alexandria monthly during *** and oocytes in primary and secondary vitellogenesis were detached and treated for histological *** polyacrylamide gel electrophoresis(PAGE)Bis-Tris Gels was applied to identify vitelloginin(VN)and vitelline(VL)*** Analyses were done by *** initial degenerate primers were built regarding the conserved amino acid domains of the yolk *** and secondary vitellogeneses consisted of 8 *** fraction with molecular weight 550 kDa was identified in the hemolymph in secondary *** protein fractions(VLI&VLII)were identified in secondary vitellogenic *** electrophoresis performed with extract of stage I oocyte showed two protein fractions with molecular weights 550 kDa and 460 *** stage II and III oocyte,4 subunits were presented of 180,195,140 and 120 kDa in VLI and 2 subunits with molecular weight of 110 kDa and 95 kDa in *** two fractions in stage V oocyte presented with molecular weights of 380 kDa and 360 *** blot analysis proved that both fractions were of four major polypeptide subunits with molecular weight of 180,125,90 and 85 kDa in each of the two *** hybridization signal obtained by the Northern blot was detected in the hepatopancreas during ovarian cycle and in the ovary during secondary *** result of the reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction(RT-PCR)analysis showed that the mRNA that encodes the C-terminal region of the VN cDNA was found in the ovary in secondary vitellogenesis and in the hepatopancreas.

Can Vaginal Washing Fluid Urea, Creatinine and Qualitative <i>&beta;</i>-hCG Diagnose Suspected Premature Rupture of membranes?

Several markers have been studied to diagnose PROm but there is still limitation with a gold standard test for the diagnosis [1]. Objective: To evaluate and compare the accuracy of urea, creatinine and hCG in vaginal fluid washing for diagnosis of PROm and to determine cut off levels. Type of the study: Prospective study performed on pregnant women in their third trimester who are coming to Kasr El Ainy maternity outpatient clinic with history of fluid leakage. Patients and methods: 150 patients between 26 - 40 weeks were included in the study. Group I included 50 patients with clinically confirmed ROm, group II included 50 with unconfirmed ROm and 50 controls with no complaints (group III). All patients were subjected to speculum examination for amniotic fluid pooling, nitrazine paper test, vaginal fluid washing for measurement of creatinine, urea and β-hCG, and ultrasound examination. The results were compared as regards the 3 study groups. Results: There was no statistically significant difference among the 3 study groups as regards age, parity BmI, nor gestational age. There was a statistically significant difference in creatinine level among confirmed, suspected and control groups. Urea levels showed also a statistically significant difference among the three groups. There was a positive correlation between vaginal creatinine and urea and gestational age in the 3 groups (r = 0.43, and 0.51 respectively). There was a statistically significant difference between vaginal fluid wash urea and creatinine levels and β-hCG as sensitivity, specificity, positive and negative predictive values and accuracy for urea and creatinine were all 100% and for qualitative β-hCG 83%, 100%, 100%, 85.6%, and 91% respectively. Conclusion: Urea and creatinine in vaginal washings can be accurately used in diagnosing suspected PROm and are more accurate than β-HCG.

Upper Footprint Dependent Nipple Position to Avoid High-Riding Nipple after Reduction mammoplasty

Introduction: High-riding nipple following reduction mammoplasty is a challenging problem for the plastic surgeons. To avoid such problem, many methods have been described for marking the correct nipple position but still controversial. We aimed in this study to present our experience in preventing excessive nipple elevation after reduction mammoplasty by using the upper footprint to set the new nipple position. material and methods: From march 2019 to march 2022, 25 female patients at a mean age of 38.3 years were included in this prospective study. They underwent reduction mammoplasty with inverted T scar and a combination of inferior pedicle and Würinger’s septum techniques. Resection weights, pre- and postoperative anthropometric measures were recorded. All patients were photographed at the follow-up visits and evaluated for complications if any, the nipple-areola complex (NAC) sensation, and subjective patient satisfaction using “The Breast Evaluation Questionnaire”. Results: The mean preoperative midclavicular point to nipple distance was 37.40 and 37.18 cm for the right and left breasts, respectively. The mean resection weight was 1270 and 1242 g from the right and left sides, respectively. None of our patients experienced NAC necrosis, while 2 breasts had minor wound dehiscence treated conservatively. After a mean follow-up period of 12 months, the NAC descended by an average of 1.40 cm, the distance from the ImF to nipple had an average increase of 2.24 cm, and all of patients were satisfied with the esthetic outcomes and convinced with their breast shape. Conclusion: The upper footprint dependent nipple position seems to have a real role in preventing high-riding nipple after breast reduction in hypertrophic and gigantomastic breasts. moreover, it can be applied easily and allow for more satisfying outcomes than other methods for setting the new nipple position.

The ever increasing demand for steel materials that have good combinations between strength and toughness urged all researchers working in the field of material science to find new alloys that can approach that *** strength and toughness of materials are always counter acting ***,carbon contents in the steel define to a great extent its strength and *** this research an effort is paid to produce steel alloy composites that can give higher strength together with good toughness without alloying with *** mechanism of strengthening in Iron-Cobalt-Tungsten composite alloys with variations in Co and W contents is *** fracture toughness and hardness,are measured for all alloy composites under *** changes in microstructures after heat treatment are emphasized using metallurgical microscopy and SEm-aided with EDX analyzing unit.
