Assembly structures of coastal woody species of eastern South America:Patterns and drivers

Tropical regions have provided new insights into how ecological communities are *** dry coastal communities,water stress has been hypothesized to determine plant assembly structure by favoring preadapted lineages from neighboring ecosystems,consistent with functional ***,it is unclear whether this hypothesis is sufficient to explain how coastal communities in tropical ecosystems are ***,we test whether water stress or other factors drive community assembly in woody plant communities across the coastal zone of Brazil,a tropical *** characterized functional and phylogenetic structures of these communities and determined the underlying environmental factors(e.g.,water stress,historical climate stability,edaphic constraints,and habitat heterogeneity)that drive their community *** of coastal woody species show geographically varied patterns,including stochastic arrangements,clustering,and overdispersion of species relative to their traits and phylogenetic *** complexity,water vapor pressure,and soil nutrient availability best explained the gradient in the functional *** deficit,water vapor pressure,and soil organic carbon were the best predictors of variation in phylogenetic *** results support the water-stress conservatism hypothesis on functional and phylogenetic structure,as well as the effect of habitat heterogeneity on functional structure and edaphic constraints on functional and phylogenetic *** effects are associated with increased phenotypic and phylogenetic divergence of woody plant assemblages,which is likely mediated by abiotic filtering and niche opportunities,suggesting a complex pattern of ecological assembly.

This work is a study of the effect of co-doping(ZrO_(2))_(0.9)(Sc_(2)O_(3))_(0.1)solid solution with yttria and/or ceria on the phase composition,local structure and transport properties of the *** solid solution crystals were grown using directional melt crystallization in cold *** show that ceria co-doping of the crystals does not stabilize the high-temperature cubic phase in the entire crystal bulk,unlike yttria *** co-doping of the(ZrO_(2))_(0.9)(Sc_(2)O_(3))_(0.1)crystals increases their conductivity,whereas the addition of 1 mol.%yttria tangibly reduces the *** co-doping of the(ZrO_(2))0.9(-Sc_(2_O_(3))0.1 crystals with ceria and yttria changes the conductivity but *** spectroscopy of the local structure of the crystals identified different types of optical *** found that the fraction of the trivalent cations having a vacancy in the first coordination sphere in the ceria co-doped crystals is smaller compared with that in the yttria co-doped crystals.

Aqueous electrochemical delithiation of cathode materials as a strategy to selectively recover lithium from waste lithium-ion batteries

Lithium recovery from end-of-life Li-ion batteries(LIBs)through pyro-and hydrometallurgical recycling processes involves several refining stages,with high consumption of reagents and energy.A competitive technological alternative is the electrochemical oxidation of the cathode materials,whereby lithium can be deintercalated and transferred to an electrolyte solution without the aid of chemical extracting *** article investigates the potential to selectively recover Li from LIB cathode materials by direct electrochemical extraction in aqueous *** process allowed to recovering up to 98%of Li from high-purity commercial cathode materials(LiMn_(2)O_(4),LiCoO_(2),and Li ni_(1/3)Mn_(1/3)Co_(1/3)O_(2))with a faradaic efficiency of 98%and negligible co-extraction of Co,ni,and *** process was then applied to recover Li from the real waste LIBs black mass obtained by the physical treatment of electric vehicle battery *** black mass contained graphite,conductive carbon,and metal impurities from current collectors and steel cases,which significantly influenced the evolution and performances of Li electrochemical ***,due to concomitant oxidation of impurities,lithium extraction yields and faradaic efficiencies were lower than those obtained with high-purity cathode *** oxidation was found to occur within the voltage range investigated,but it could not quantitatively explain the reduced Li extraction *** fact,a detailed investigation revealed that above 1.3 v ***/Ag Cl,conductive carbon can be oxidized,contributing to the decreased Li *** on the reported experimental results,guidelines were provided that quantitatively enable the extraction of Li from the black mass,while preventing the simultaneous oxidation of impurities and,consequently,reducing the energy consumption of the proposed Li recovery method.

自主制造系统的研究既受益于信息物理融合系统这一新技术的推动，也响应工业实际需求的号召。目前，先进的传感器技术、数字孪生、人工智能和新型通信技术可以支持半结构化工业环境中的自主操作，可实现对生产过程的实时监控、情况识别和预测、自动和自适应（重新）规划、团队合作，以及通过学习提高性能。本文总结了实现自主工业机器人技术的主要需求，提出了实现此类系统的通用工作流程，并介绍了HUn-Ren SZTAKI最近在装配、焊接、打磨、拾取和放置以及机械加工等多个应用领域的广泛实践。这些解决方案的共同点是以通用的数字孪生概念为核心。最后，本文提出实现工业自主机器人解决方案的一般建议，并讨论了未来要研究的一些开放性问题。

vegetation Response To Soil And Morphological Properties In An Arid Region Alluvial fan Landscape. Pre-Andes Of San Juan， Argentina

The Monte desert is characterized by a great diversity of landforms created with fluvial， alluvial which the vegetation patterns are related to. The present work has the following objectives: 1: determine whether topographical attributes， surface characteristics， soil properties and vegetation patterns vary between alluvial landforms， and 2: define whether morphometric， soil and surface properties influence vegetation patterns along alluvial landscape. Morphometric data were obtained by processing a 5 m digital elevation model. The coverage of rock fragments， fine sediments and mulch was quantified. Observations and descriptions of the soil profiles were restricted to the uppermost 50 cm. vegetation properties were calculated using a Point Quadrat Method. The relationship between variables was evaluated through multivariate statistical analysis. The main results show the presence of 45 plant species distributed in 19 families， where shrubs are dominant. The wind effect， topographic wetness and dissection of the landscape are limiting factors of diversity. The coverage of superficial rock fragments influence vegetation coverage through the distribution and availability of rainwater. furthermore， the different soil textures reveal that the silt content favors an increase in vegetation coverage. The presence of v horizon could condition the installation and development of vegetation in the early stages of growth.

effects of phosphodiesterase 5 inhibitors on sperm parameters and fertilizing capacity

The aim of this review study is to elucidate the effects that phosphodiesterase 5 （Pde5） inhibitors exert on spermatozoa motility, capacitation process and on their ability to fertilize the oocyte. Second messenger systems such as the cAMP/adenylate cyclase （AC） system and the cGMP/guanylate cyclase （GC） system appear to regulate sperm functions. Increased levels of intracytosolic cAMP result in an enhancement of sperm motility and viability. The stimulation of GC by low doses of nitric oxide （nO） leads to an improvement or maintenance of sperm motility, whereas higher concentrations have an adverse effect on sperm parameters. Several in vivo and in vitro studies have been carried out in order to examine whether Pde5 inhibitors affect positively or negatively sperm parameters and sperm fertilizing capacity. The results of these studies are controversial. Some of these studies demonstrate no significant effects of Pde5 inhibitors on the motility, viability, and morphology of spermatozoa collected from men that have been treated with Pde5 inhibitors. On the other hand, several studies demonstrate a positive effect of Pde5 inhibitors on sperm motility both in vivo and in vitro. In vitro studies of sildenafil citrate demonstrate a stimulatory effect on sperm motility with an increase in intracellular cAMP suggesting an inhibitory action of sildenafil citrate on a Pde isoform other than the Pde5. On the other hand, tadalafil＇s actions appear to be associated with the inhibitory effect of this compound on Pde11. In vivo studies in men treated with vardenafil in a daily basis demonstrated a significantly larger total number of spermatozoa per ejaculate, quantitative sperm motility, and qualitative sperm motility; it has been suggested that vardenafil administration enhances the secretory function of the prostate and subsequently increases the qualitative and quantitative motility of spermatozoa. determination of Polarity Terms of Some nitrogen-Containing Surfactants and Simulated Hydrophobic Tail Models by Gas Chromatography

Some polarity terms of two groups of nitrogen-containing surfactants （six alkanolamides and nine polyoxyethylenated long chain amines） are measured through gas chromatography. The apparent methanol carbon number (CMeOH) and polarity index （IP） values are determined on the investigated surfactants as stationary phases in packed columns. Similarly, CMeOH and IP values are determined on simulated hydrophobic tail （SHT） models. The obtained results reveal that the introduction of SHT approach permits the distinction between the polarities of different surfactants and their head groups. The measured polarity terms are discussed as related to hydrophile-lipophile balance （HLB） number and the hydrophobic group carbon number （RCn）. Some equations relating the measured polarity values and these variable have been developed.

A plumbomicrolite concentrate(PMC)was leached with the mixture of Hf and H2SO4,Hf and HnO3 acids,*** conditions ensuring high recovery of tantalum and niobium(up to 99%)into solution,and radionuclides into insoluble residue were ***-sulfuric acid and fluoride-nitric acid schemes were proposed for PMC leaching by an extractive separation of tantalum form niobium,lead and impurities,and production of high-purity tantalum ***-1 was used as an *** conditions for production of high-purity tantalum strip solutions were defined for all stages(extraction-scrubbing-stripping).Produced tantalum compounds,such as tantalum pentoxide and potassium heptafluotanthalate,comply with the norms for high-purity substances in terms of impurities *** choice of the PMC processing scheme is determined by its profitability.

Life Origin in the Milky Way Galaxy: II. Scanning for Habitable Stellar Systems on Behalf of future Space Missions

The possibility of the life origin in the stellar systems, located at a distance of ~200 pc from the solar system, was investigated. The stars, in the spectrums of which C (carbon), O (oxygen), n (nitrogen), and P (phosphorus) are found, are called dnA-stars. Based on stellar abundances a new method for searching for habitable exoplanets has been developed and a list of 48 dnA-stars in the solar neighborhood, on which life is possible, has been defined. The quota of dnA-stars is equal 1.3% of the total amount of Hypatia Stellar Catalog. Only three dnA-stars out of selected 48 stars belong to the spectral class as our Sun (G2v). The closest to the solar system is the dnA-star with the number HIP 15510, which belongs to the G8v class and is 6 pc away from the solar system. nine dnA-stars, which have the highest chemical similarity with solar spectrum, were identified. It is identified that one of these nine stars, HIP 24681, has six planets.

effect of TiO_(2) nanoparticles on the photocatalytic properties of PeO coatings on Mg alloy

A comprehensive study of the properties of coatings formed on a magnesium alloy by plasma electrolytic oxidation(PeO) using the electrolytes with nanosized particles of anatase(titanium dioxide) has been carried out. formed coatings reduce corrosion current density 2.5-fold and increase hardness by 25% compared to a coating without particles. Confocal micro-Raman spectroscopy revealed the presence of anatase and rutile phases in the composition of PeO coating due to the incorporation of TiO2nanoparticles during plasma electrolytic treatment. The presence of titanium dioxide had a positive effect on the photocatalytic properties of coatings: the constant rate of the methyl orange and methyl blue decomposition is increased in 1.6 and 1.8-fold, respectively, compared to the coating formed in electrolyte without TiO_(2) particles.
