The recent developments in biological and information technologies have resulted in the generation of massive quantities of data it speeds up the process of knowledge discovery from biological *** to the advancements of medical imaging in healthcare decision making,significant attention has been paid by the computer vision and deep learning(DL)*** the same time,the detection and classification of colorectal cancer(CC)become essential to reduce the severity of the disease at an earlier *** existing methods are commonly based on the combination of textual features to examine the classifier results or machine learning(ML)to recognize the existence of *** this aspect,this study focuses on the design of intelligent DL based CC detection and classification(IDL-CCDC)model for bioinformatics *** proposed IDL-CCDC technique aims to detect and classify different classes of *** addition,the IDLCCDC technique involves fuzzy filtering technique for noise removal ***,water wave optimization(WWO)based efficientNet model is employed for feature extraction ***,chaotic glowworm swarm optimization(CGSO)based variational auto encoder(VAe)is applied for the classification of CC into benign or *** design of WWO and CGSO algorithms helps to increase the overall classification *** performance validation of the IDL-CCDC technique takes place using benchmark Warwick-QU dataset and the results portrayed the supremacy of the IDL-CCDC technique over the recent approaches with the maximum accuracy of 0.969.

Dear editor,The incidence of emergency department(eD)visits from gastroparesis and cannabinoid hyperemesis syndrome has increased by two folds over the past decade.[1-3]Roldan et al[4]reported that patients with these conditions often have prolonged eD stays and are likely to be hospitalized because of the danger of dehydration and challenges inherent in relieving *** analgesia is a particularly troublesome treatment modality;these conditions are often chronic with frequent recurrences,and repeated opiate therapy can cause opioid dependency and narcotic bowel syndrome.[5]Haloperidol(HP)and droperidol,members of the butyrophenone class,have potent antidopaminergic activity in the chemoreceptor trigger zone.[6,7]Intramuscular administration of HP is being used increasingly in the eD to treat nausea,vomiting secondary to gastroparesis,[6]intractable vomiting,[8]and cyclical vomiting.

Chimeric antigen receptor-engineered T-cell therapy for liver cancer

Background: Chimeric antigen receptor-engineered T-cell(CAR-T) therapy is a newly developed immunotherapy used in the treatment of cancers. Because CAR-T therapy has shown great success in treating CD19-positive hematological malignancies, its application has been explored in the treatment of solid tumors, such as liver cancer. In this review, we discuss the immune characteristics of liver cancer, the obstacles encountered during the application of CAR-T therapy, and preclinical and clinical progress in the use of CAR-T therapy in patients with liver *** sources: The data on CAR-T therapy related to liver cancers were collected by searching Pub Med and the Web of Science databases prior to December 2017 with the keywords "chimeric antigen receptor","CAR-T", "liver cancer", "hepatocellular carcinoma", and "solid tumor". Additional articles were identified by manual search of references found in the primary articles. The data for clinical trials were collected by searching Clinical ***: The liver has a tolerogenic nature in the intrahepatic milieu and its tumor microenvironment significantly affects tumor progression. The obstacles that reduce the efficacy of CAR-T therapy in solid tumors include a lack of specific tumor antigens, limited trafficking and penetration of CAR-T cells to tumor sites, and an immunosuppressive tumor microenvironment. To overcome these obstacles, several strategies have emerged. In addition, several strategies have been developed to manage the side effects of CAR-T, including enhancing the selectivity of CARs and controlling CAR-T activity. To date, no clinical trials of CAR-T therapy against HCC have been completed. However, preclinical studies in vitro and in vivo have shown potent antitumor efficacy. Influence of surface roughness on the color of dental-resin composites

This study deals with the influence of surface roughness on the color of resin *** resin composites (microfilled,hybrid,and microhybrid) were each polished with 500-grit,1 200-grit,2 000-grit,and 4 000-grit SiC *** roughness parameter (Ra) was measured using a Plμ confocal microscope,and field-emission scanning electron microscope (Fe-SeM) images were used to investigate filler *** was measured using a spectroradiometer and a D65 standard illuminant (geometry diffuse/0° specular component excluded (SCe) mode).Surface roughness decreased with grit number and was not influenced by filler size or size distribution.A significant influence of Ra on lightness (L*) was *** increased with decreases in roughness,except for specimens that underwent polishing procedure 4 (PP4;500-grit,1 200-grit,2 000-grit,and 4 000-grit SiC papers consecutively).Generally,it was found that surface roughness influenced the color of resin *** composites that underwent PP1 (500-grit SiC paper) exhibited significant differences in chroma (C*),hue (h°),and lightness (L*) compared to composites that underwent PP3 (500-grit,1 200-grit,and 2 000-grit SiC papers consecutively) and *** difference (e*) between the polishing procedures was within acceptability thresholds in dentistry.

Detection of Lectins by Saccharide-gold Nanoparticle Conjugates

A general functionalization strategy was reported,which enables one to conjugate saccharide（SA） on gold nanoparticle（GNP） surface without affecting SA ***,disulfide phenylboronic acid（Bor） functionalized GNPs（Bor@GNPs） were synthesized by the reaction of citrate stabilized GNPs of 13 nm in diameter with the mixture of Bor and pentapeptide（Cys-Ala-Leu-Asn-Asn,CALNN）.Subsequently,the SA-GNP conjugates（SA@GNPs） were prepared by coupling SA to the GNP surface via the reaction of phenylboronic acid（PBA） with the cis-diol configuration in *** interactions of three SA@GNPs with three lectins have been analyzed by UV-visible spectroscopic and transmission electronic microscopic（TeM） techniques,*** experimental results demonstrate that SA@GNPs can efficiently bind to lectins and show a great promise as optical probes for monitoring specific affinities of lectins for SA,and detecting lectins with high sensitivity.

Caries Patterns in the Primary Dentition: Cluster Analysis of a Sample of 5,169 Arizona Children 5-59 Months of Age

Aim Cluster analysis was conducted on data from 5,169 United States （U.S.） Arizona children, age＇s 5-59-months with the goal of delineating patterns of caries in the primary dentition of pre-school children without a priori pattern definitions. Methodology Cluster analyses were conducted using all data for children ages 0-4 years in aggregate： 1） for all subjects, and 2） for subjects without crowned restored teeth. each of these two sets of analyses consisted of 8 differently specified cluster analyses as a validation procedure. Results The caries patterns identified from the clustering analysis are： 1） smooth surfaces （other than the maxillary incisor）, 2） maxillary incisor, 3） occlusal surfaces of first molars, and 4） pit and fissure surfaces of second molars. Conclusion The cluster analysis findings were consistent with results produced by multidimensional scaling. These cross-validated patterns may represent resulting disease conditions from different risks or the timing of various risk factor exposures. As such, the patterns may be useful case definitions for caries risk factor investigations in children under 60 months of age.

Oxidative leaching kinetics of molybdenum-uranium ore in H2SO4 using H2O2 as an oxidizing agent

The processing of molybdenum-uranium ore in a sulfuric acid solution using hydrogen peroxide as an oxidant has been investigated. The leaching temperature, hydrogen peroxide concentration, sulfuric acid concentration, leaching time, particle size, liquid-to-solid ratio and agitation speed all have significant effects on the process. The optimum process operating parameters were： temperature： 95℃; H2O2 concentration： 0.5 M; sulfuric acid concentration： 2.5 M; time： 2 h; particle size： 74 gm, liquid-to-solid ratio： 14 ： 1 and agitation speed： 600 rpm. Under these experimental conditions, the extraction efficiency of molybdenum was about 98.4%, and the uranium extraction efficiency was about 98.7%. The leaching kinetics of molybdenum showed that the reaction rate of the leaching process is controlled by the chemical reaction at the particle surface. The leaching process follows the kinetic model 1 - （1-X）1/3 = kt with an apparent activation energy of 40.40 kJ/mole. The temperature, concentrations of H202 and H2SO4 and the mesh size are the main factors that influence the leaching rate. The reaction order in H2SO4 was 1.0012 and in H202 it was 1.2544.
