The examination of entanglement across various degrees of freedom has been pivotal in augmenting our understanding of fundamental physics,extending to high dimensional quantum states,and promising the scalability of quantum *** this paper,we demonstrate the photon number path entanglement in the frequency domain by implementing a frequency beam splitter that converts the single-photon frequency to another with 50%probability using Bragg scattering four-wave *** two-photon NOON state in a single-mode fiber is generated in the frequency domain,manifesting the two-photon interference with two-fold enhanced resolution compared to that of single-photon interference,showing the outstanding stability of the *** successful translation of quantum states in the frequency domain will pave the way toward the discovery of fascinating quantum phenomena and scalable quantum information processing.

The dynamic behavior of a microhollow cathode sustained discharge with split third electrodes is experimentally investigated. The sustained discharge swells isotropically in the presence of a small amount of argon gas flow that is not clearly detectable with a conventional single third electrode. At high flow rates, the sustained discharge transitions to a fast-moving constricted discharge with an are shape. The modified discharge structure causes a shift in current distribution over the third electrodes, and the current peak location varies linearly with the flow rate over a certain flow range. Such linear behavior may be applied to in situ flow velocity measurement.

Previous studies have shown that Ninjurin-1 participates in cell trafficking and axonal growth following central and peripheral nervous system *** its precise roles in these processes and involvement in spinal cord injury pathophysiology remain *** blot assay revealed that Ninjurin-1 levels in rats with spinal cord injury exhibited an upregulation until day 4 post-injury and slightly decreased thereafter compared with sham *** analysis revealed that Ninjurin-1 immunoreactivity in rats with spinal cord injury sharply increased on days 1 and 4 post-injury and slightly decreased on days 7 and 21 post-injury compared with sham ***-1 immunostaining was weak in vascular endothelial cells, ependymal cells, and some glial cells in sham controls while it was relatively strong in macrophages, microglia, and reactive *** findings suggest that a variety of cells, including vascular endothelial cells, macrophages, and microglia, secrete Ninjurin-1 and they participate in the pathophysiology of compression-induced spinal cord *** experimental procedures were approved by the Care and Use of Laboratory Animals of Jeju National University(approval No.2018-0029) on July 6, 2018.

Mixing behaviors of particles are simulated in a sheared granular flow using differently colored but otherwise identical glass spheres, with five different bottom wall velocities. By DeM simulation, the solid fractions, velocities, velocity fluctuations and granular temperatures are measured. The mixing layer thicknesses are compared with the calculations from a simple diffusion equation using the data of apparent self-diffusion coefficients obtained from the current simulation measurements. The calculations and simulation results showed good agreements, demonstrating that the mixing process of granular materials occurred through the diffusion mechanism.

Robust design (RD) has received much attention from researchers and practitioners for years, and a number of methodologies have been studied in the research community. The majority of existing RD models focus on the minimum variability with a zero bias. However, it is often the case that the customer may specify upper bounds on one of the two process parameters (i.e., the process mean and variance). In this situation, the existing RD models may not work efficiently in incorporating the customer’s needs. To this end, we propose two simple RD models using the ε?constraint feasible region method - one with an upper bound of process bias specified and the other with an upper bound on process variability specified. We then conduct a case study to analyze the effects of upper bounds on each of the process parameters in terms of optimal operating conditions and mean squared error.

The molecular dynamics simulation is applied to investigate the influence of the incident ion energy and incident angular distribution upon ion-assisted deposition process. The Cu-Cu and Ar-Cu interactions are modeled using the many body tight-binding potential and the Moliere potential, respectively, and the interface width is used to characterize the surface roughness properties at both transient and final state conditions. The results show that the surface roughness of the deposition film is lower when more Ar-to-Cu ratio is used at the same incident energy and angle. For the relative low or high incident energy, the film morphologies are not sensitive to the incident angle. However, if the incident energy of the argon ions is too high, the film morphology will be worse than that without using the ion-assisted deposition.

The purpose of this study is the development of latent heat transport system by using the mixture of the minute latent heat storage materials and the saccharine solution as medium. The experimental studies are carried out by the evaluation of viscosity and pressure loss in a pipe. Polyethylene (P.e.) is selected as the dispersed minute material that has closeness density (920kg/m3) of ice (917kg/m3). D-sorbitol and D-xylose solutions are picked as continuum phase of the test mixture. The concentration of D-sorbitol solution is set 48mass% from measured results of saturation solubility and the melting point. 40mass% solution of D-xylose is selected as the other test continuum phase. The non-ion surfactant, eA157 Dai-ichiseiyaku CO. Ltd, is used in order to prevent of dispersed P.e. powder cohere. The pressure loss of test mixture is measured by the straight circular pipe that has smooth inner surface. The measuring length for pressure loss is 1000 mm, and the inner diameter of pipe is 15mm. The accuracy of experiment apparatus for measuring pressure loss is within ±5%. The pressure loss data is estimated by the relationship between the heat transport ratio and the required pump power. It is clarified that the optimum range of mixing ratio exists over 10mass% of latent heat storage material.
