In carboniferous and triassic metacarbonates (anchizone to lower greenschist facies) of the Tethyan Himalayas the characteristic remanent magnetisations are carried by magnetite (ChRM\-1) and pyrrhotite (ChRM\-2;Klootwijk & Bingham,1980;Appel et al.,1991 & 1995;schill et al.,1999).Magnetite may carry a primary remanent magnetisation whereas the pyrrhotite component is secondary and related to the last cooling event below 300℃. Pyrrhotite is formed in marly carbonates during low\|grade *** Spiti the last cooling is represented by an 40 Ar/ 39 Ar age of 42～45Ma (Wiesmayr & Grasemann,1999).Five locations were sampled in the Spiti valley (Fig.1).Besides a present earth field direction,both remanent components (ChRM 1+2 ) are present in single *** contribution to the total NRM is around 30% for the ChRM\-2 (coercivity of 20～100mT) and only around 8% for the ChRM\-2 (unblocking temperature of 250～330℃).Despite of the contribution stable remanence directions could be obtained for the ChRM\-*** all sampling locations well grouping overall mean directions were obtained (Table 1,Fig.1).Results from Losar and the lower Pin valley are *** were estimated by great circle analyses or by taking the residual component after AF\|demagnetisation. Clockwise block rotations of around 10～40° in respect to stable India since 42 Ma are calculated by using the apparent polar wander path of Besse & Courtillot (1991).The α 95 \|angles show no overlapping (Fig.1 small figure).Therefore local rotations are not negligible.

In Mesozoic carbonates of the Tethyan Himalayas two characteristic remanent magnetisations(ChRM\-1 and ChRM\-2)were identified by their unblocking *** ChRM\-1 is carried by pyrrhotite(unblocking spectra:270～340℃),acquired as a secondary thermoremanent magnetisation (TRM) during exhumation and *** ChRM\-2 is carried by magnetite (unblocking spectra:430～580℃).A primary origin is indicated by calcite twin geothermometry and remanences consistent with the expected *** an e—W profile of 10km length the ratio of remanence intensity of pyrrhotite to magnetite ( R PYR/MAG )changes systematically (from 0 38 to 1 00,Fig.1).It is known that pyrrhotite is formed in marly carbonates during low\|grade metamorphism (Rochette 1987).This occurs at the expense of *** the ratio R PYR/MAG is related to metamorphic temperatures and can be used as a geothermometer for temperatures≤300℃ in low\|grade metamorphic carbonates where other methods are *** remanence directions were used to estimate the amount of block rotation around vertical and horizontal axes(*** et al.1985,Appel et al.1991 & 1995).In the Shiar area the pyrrhotite remanence directions follow a small\|circle distribution with a best fit parallel to the N—S direction(Fig.2).

Climate change has increased drought frequency and duration that are exacerbated by increased temperatures globally. This effect has, and will continue,to increase fire occurrence across many regions of North America. In the southern Appalachian Mountains, wildfires with high burn severity occurred in 2016due to increased drought and human activity. To investigate the effects of burn severity on soil physicochemical properties, microbial extracellular enzyme production, and microbial abundances in a temperate region, surface soils (0–15 cm) were collected from two sites (the Great Smoky Mountains National Park in Tennessee and the Nantahala National Forest in North Carolina, USA) spanning lightly, moderately, and severely burned areas, accompanied by adjacent unburned locations that act as controls. The soil samples were collected at three time points between 2017 and 2019 (i.e., 0.5, 1, and 2.5 years post-fire)among burn severity plots. Total hydrolytic enzyme production varied over time, with severe burn plots having significantly lower enzyme production at 2.5years post-fire. Individual enzymes varied among burn severities and across time post-fire. Light burn plots showed greater carbon-specific (β-glucosidase and β-xylosidase) and phosphorus-specific (acid phosphatase) enzyme activities at 0.5 years post-fire, but this effect was transient. At 2.5 years post-fire, theβ-xylosidase and acid phosphatase activities were lower in severe or moderate burn plots relative to the controls. In contrast, the activity of nitrogen-specific enzyme leucyl aminopeptidase was the lowest in severe burn plots at 0.5 years post-fire, but was the lowest in light burn plots at 2.5 years post-fire. The fungi:bacteria ratio declined with burn severity, indicating that fungi are sensitive or less resilient to high burn severity during recovery. This study discusses the effects of local sites and hazard amplification on the seismic vulnerability assessment of existing masonry *** this context,a rapid seismic evaluation procedure was implemented on an old masonry building stock in the historical center Galata,located inİstanbul,to determine the seismic risk priority of the built *** scenarios were generated for all soil classes,different moment magnitudes,and source-to-site distances to obtain more accurate results for the seismic vulnerability assessment of the studied building ***,damage distributions estimated under nine different scenarios with/without site effects were compared and illustrated in maps to discuss changes in vulnerability owing to amplification *** this study,by re-examining the rapid seismic evaluation procedure by including geo-hazard-based assessment,the importance of site effects on the vulnerability and risk assessment of built heritage was *** proposed framework integrating field data and local site effects is believed to advance the current applications for vulnerability assessment of masonry buildings and provide an improvement in the application of rapid seismic assessment procedures with more reliable results.

Investigating the impact of the universal function of the nuclear proximity potential in heavy-ion fusion cross sections

The fusion barriers and cross sections of 15 colliding systems with 320≤Z_(1)Z_(2)≤1512 are investigated in detail to understand the influence of the universal function of proximity potential formalism in the heavy-ion fusion *** realize this goal,we select three versions of the phenomenological proximity potentials,including Prox.77,Zhang 2013,and Guo 2013,to calculate the nucleus-nucleus *** experimental fusion cross sections for the selected reactions are analyzed using the standard coupled-channel calculations,including couplings to the low-lying 2^(+)and 3^(-)states in the target and *** calculated results show that the universal functions of the Guo 2013 and Prox.77 models provide the lowest and highest fusion barriers,*** addition,it is found that the height of the fusion barriers is enhanced by increasing the mass number of the projectile from light to heavy *** highest sensitivity to the mass number of the projectile belongs to the results of Prox.77.A discussion is also presented on the influence of the universal function on the radial behavior of the interaction potential in the allowed region for overlapping *** results reveal that the best fit to the experimental data of the fusion cross sections for the reactions involving light and medium nuclei is obtained using the universal function of the Zhang 2013 *** the heavier systems,the results of the Guo 2013 model at sub-barrier energies provide a good description of the available data.

The ability to learn incrementally is critical to the long-term operation of AI systems. Benefiting from the power of few-shot class-incremental learning(FSCIL), deep learning models can continuously recognize new classes with only a few samples. The difficulty is that limited instances of new classes will lead to overfitting and exacerbate the catastrophic forgetting of the old classes. Most previous works alleviate the above problems by imposing strong constraints on the model structure or parameters, but ignoring embedding network transferability and classifier adaptation(CA), failing to guarantee the efficient utilization of visual features and establishing relationships between old and new classes. In this paper, we propose a simple and novel approach from two perspectives: embedding bias and classifier bias. The method learns an embedding augmented(eA) network with cross-class transfer and class-specific discriminative abilities based on self-supervised learning and modulated attention to alleviate embedding bias. Based on the adaptive incremental classifier learning scheme to realize incremental learning capability,guiding the adaptive update of prototypes and feature embeddings to alleviate classifier bias. We conduct extensive experiments on two popular natural image datasets and two medical datasets. The experiments show that our method is significantly better than the baseline and achieves state-of-the-art results.

The paper presents research results of the synthesis, phase composition, and structure of products obtained by highly exothermic reactions between Ti and C10H8O4mixture components, depending on the plastic waste concentration and Ti powder dispersiveness, density of initial samples, and synthesis medium. The dependence of the phase composition and structure of the synthesis products on the concentration of the polymer（plastic）component in the initial Ti-PeT(C10H8O4) system was found. When the plastic waste content is 20 wt% to 25 wt%, synthesis products contain TiC0.5O0.5–TiC0.6–0.75particle agglomerates. Further growth in the polyethylene terephthalate content from 30 wt% to 45 wt% leads to the formation of synthesis products consisting of titanium carbide(TiC0.6–1.0). The gaseous byproduct composition of the exothermic reaction is investigated for the Ti–-C10H8O4mixture composition. It is found that the gaseous by-product mostly contains hydrogen and carbon monoxide as well as impurities of different hydrocarbons（methane, acetylene, ethane, ethene） and carbon dioxide. The maximum adiabatic temperature of the gas combustion temperature is 2080℃, which demonstrates the possibility of using gas as a fuel for energy generation devices. Based on the data obtained, it is possible to create a basis for a new plastic waste technology to fabricate carbide-containing materials.
