The present study focuses on the synthesis and characterization of lanthanum(La3+)-doped calcium nanoferrites(CaLaxFe2-xO4:x=0.025,0.050,0.075 and 0.100) using the sonochemical *** techniques were employed to analyze the effect of La3+infusion,Raman spectroscopy confirms the presence of active A1g,T2gand egmodes in the CaLaxFe2-xO4nanoferrite,indicating the formation of an active ferrite *** introduction of La3+doping results in a significant increase in the band gap energy,rendering the nanoferrites insulating（3.23-3,57 eV）.At higher frequencies,the impedance studies reveal minimal losses and better AC conductivity,pointing to improved dielectric *** higher frequencies,the Q-factor of La-doped calcium nanoferrites shows lower electromagnetic *** m-H curve exhibits ferromagnetic behavior,with La3+-doped calcium nano ferrites displaying a saturation magnetization ranging from 12.72 to 18.10 emu/*** incorporation of La3+also induces enhanced electrical polarization,leading to notable dielectric loss and increased absorption of electromagnetic ***,these CaLaxFe2-xO4nanoferrites demonstrate potential as effective microwave absorbers across a wide frequency range,with significant shielding absorption observed at 8.8-9.1 GHz.

Responses of Annual Variability of Vegetation NPP to Climate Variables Using Satellite Techniques in Gadarif State, Sudan

Plants play an essential role in matter and energy transformations and are key messengers in the carbon and energy cycle. Net primary productivity (NPP) reflects the capability of plants to transform solar energy into photosynthesis. It is very sensible for factors affecting on vegetation variability such as climate, soils, plant characteristics and human activities. So, it can be used as an indicator of actual and potential trend of vegetation. In this study we used the actual NPP which was derived from mODIS to assess the response of NPP to climate variables in Gadarif State, from 2000 to 2010. The correlations between NPP and climate variables (temperature and precipitation) are calculated using Pearson’s Correlation Coefficient and ordinary least squares regression. The main results show the following 1) the correlation Coefficient between NPP and mean annual temperature is Somewhat negative for Feshaga, Rahd, Gadarif and Galabat areas and weakly negative in Faw area;2) the correlation Coefficient between NPP and annual total precipitation is weakly negative in Faw, Rahd and Galabat areas and somewhat negative in Galabat and Rahd areas. This study demonstrated that the correlation analysis between NPP and climate variables (precipitation and temperature) gives reliably result of NPP responses to climate variables that is clearly in a very large scale of study area.

Individual alcohol consumption by the population of Russia versus regional living conditions

Background:There are substantial regional differences in drinking alcohol in Russia,both at the population and individual ***,the causes of these differences have not been studied ***:The goal of our study was to examine the effect of regional living conditions on individual alcohol consumption by the population of ***:For the analysis,we used data from a cross-sectional epidemiological study conducted in *** final analytical sample included 18,130 people aged 25-64 *** conducted the interviews face to face,based on which any drinking in the last year,as well as alcohol abuse,were considered as a *** abuse was recorded when the respondent consumed 5.75 or more grams of pure ethanol per day(75th percentile of average daily alcohol consumption among alcohol drinkers).The assessment of the regional living conditions was accomplished via integral indexing,which was previously performed based on publicly available data for *** were assessed using generalized scoring equations with unchanging standard *** associations were expressed by odds ratios(OR)and 95%confidence intervals(C).Results:Deterioration of social conditions and increase in demographic depression in the region of residence increased the odds of any drinking(OR 1.51,95%CI:1.33 to 1.72,Pespectively).The odds of alcohol abuse increased with the deterioration of social living conditions and the growth of the industrial development in the region:OR 1.35,95%CI:1.14 to 1.59,Ped assessing the impact of the regional living conditions on individual drinking alcohol in the population of Russia.

Various sectors of the industry are searching for new materials with specific requirements,providing improved *** study presents novel composite materials based on polylactide that have been modified with the organosilicon compound,(3-thiopropyl)polysilsesquioxane(SSQ-SH).The SSQ-SH compound is a mixture of cage structures and not fully condensed random *** composite materials were obtained through injection *** study includes a comprehensive characterization of the new materials that analyze their functional properties,such as rheology(mFR),mechanical strength(tensile strength,Charpy impact strength),and thermal *** microscopic photos were also taken to analyze the microstructure of the *** addition of a 5%by-weight organosilicon compound to polylactide resulted in a significant increase in mFR by 73.8%compared to the neat *** greatest improvement in impact strength was achieved for the 5%SSQ-SH/PLA composite,increasing it by 32.0 kJ/m^(2)compared to PLA,which represents an increase of up to 187%.The conducted research confirms the possibility of modifying the properties of the polymer by employing organosilicon compounds.

The presence of heavy metals such as arsenic(As)and chromium(Cr)can be considered one of the most toxic heavy *** study aims to develop and evaluate a graphene oxide(GO)based material functionalized with ferrihydrite for the removal of As(V)in the presence of Cr(VI).The adsorbent ferrihydrite-functionalized graphene oxide(GOFH)was characterized by Sem,FTIR,XRD,XPS,surface charge,BeT and *** adsorption capacities for As(V)and Cr(VI)were 160 and 66 mg g^(-1)respectively at pH 4 and 298 K,fitting the Langmuir *** binary systems,GOFH adsorbed As(V)with an adsorption capacity of 137 mg g^(-1)in the presence of 20 mg L^(-1)Cr(VI)at room *** analysis revealed an exothermic and spontaneous ***,GOFH effectively removed several coexisting anions from groundwater,including SO_(4)^(2-),CO_(3)^(2-)and Cl^(-).This work evidences the potential of GOFH for competitive adsorption of priority pollutants from complex *** GOFH material represents a technically and economically viable technology for application in groundwater decontamination,as it requires inexpensive precursors and ambient conditions during synthesis and operation.

extreme cold temperatures were observed in July and August 2023,coinciding with the WINFLY(winter fly-in)period of mid to late August into September 2023,meaning aircraft operations into mcmurdo Station and Phoenix Airfield were adversely ***,with temperatures below−50℃,safe flight operation was not possible because of the risk of failing hydraulics and fuel turning to gel onboard the *** cold temperatures were measured across a broad area of the Antarctic,from east Antarctica toward the Ross Ice Shelf,and stretching across West Antarctica to the Antarctic Peninsula.A review of automatic weather station measurements and staffed station observations revealed a series of sites recording new record low *** separate cold phases were identified,each a few days in duration and occurring from mid-July to the end of August 2023.A brief analysis of 500-hPa geopotential height anomalies shows how the mid-tropospheric atmospheric environment evolves in relation to these extreme cold *** monthly 500-hPa geopotential height anomalies show strong negative anomalies in *** of composite geopotential height anomalies during each of the four cold phases suggests various factors leading to cold temperatures,including both southerly off-content flow and calm atmospheric *** the atmospheric environment that leads to such extreme cold temperatures can improve prediction of such events and benefit Antarctic operations and the study of Antarctic meteorology and climatology.

exploring noble metal-free catalyst materials for high efficient electrochemical water splitting to produce hydrogen is strongly desired for renewable energy *** this article,a novel bifunctional catalytic electrode of insitu-grown type for alkaline water splitting based on FeCoNi alloy substrate has been successfully prepared via a facile one-step hydrothermal oxidation route in an alkaline hydrogen peroxide *** shows that the matrix alloy with the atom ratio 4∶3∶3 of Fe∶Co∶Ni can obtain the best catalytic performance when hydrothermally treated at 180℃for 18 h in the solution containing 1.8 m hydrogen peroxide and 3.6 m sodium *** as-prepared Fe_(0.4)Co_(0.3)Ni_(0.3)-1.8 electrode exhibits small overpotentials of only 184 and 175 mV at electrolysis current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)for alkaline OeR and HeR processes,*** overall water splitting at electrolysis current density of 10 mA cm^(-2)can be stably delivered at a low cell voltage of 1.62 *** characteristics including the large specific surface area,the high surface nickel content,the abundant catalyst species,the balanced distribution between bivalent and trivalent metal ions,and the strong binding of in-situ naturally growed catalytic layer to matrix are responsible for the prominent catalytic performance of the Fe_(0.4)Co_(0.3)Ni_(0.3)-1.8 electrode,which can act as a possible replacement for expensive noble metal-based materials.
