Accurate identification of glass crystallization helps in selecting high electronic conductivity materials

Though the current research on vanadium-based glass electrodes has made great progress, the conductivity theory of V-based glasses has not been obviously improved and crystals cannot be positioned precisely. The changes in the valence state of V3+, V4+and V5+are regulated by the strong reducing agent Fe2P to realize valence bond transformation of the amorphous electrode, explore the redox process of multi-electron reactions and further optimize the conductivity of electrode materials. VPFe2 and VPFe3 precipitate VO2crystals and VPFe4 precipitates VO2and V6O11crystals. electron back-scattered diffraction was used to accurately identify the distribution and specific positions of both types of crystals. V6O11crystals exhibit a strong texture according to pole figure and inverse pole figure. XPS reveals that Fe2P and V2O5, undergo a redox reaction during the hightemperature melting process, where V5+is reduced to V4+and V3+and V4+renders a positive influence on conductivity. The addition of Fe2P increases the content of V4+in the glass and VPFe3 glass contains the highest content of V4+, leading to the highest electronic conductivity. V2O5transforms into VO2crystals and VO2transforms into V6O11with the increase of Fe2P content. The type of nanocrystal precipitation in glass affects electronic conductivity.

Photocatalytic oxidation techniques are promising for degradation of the highly ecotoxic and refractory isothiazolinone bactericides in relevant industrial ***,low charge separation and directional transport efficiency under solar light radiation restrain their practical ***,we report a nanostructured photocatalyst doped with Gd and B in TiO_(2)with carbon incorporation and defect formation through incomplete *** specific surface area,grain size,and hydrophilicity of TiO_(2)are improved,which is beneficial for the interfacial reaction between the photocatalyst and *** reduction of the bandgap,the broadening of the photo-absorption range,and the retarded electron-hole recombination promote the photocatalytic performance due to the improved oxygen vacancies based on the electron distribution *** difference in partial density of states(ΔPDOS)between the current catalyst and raw TiO_(2)indicates that the co-doping of Gd and B with incomplete calcination changes the electronic hybridization of conduction band and valence band near the Fermi level,and affects the band gap *** improved charge separation and directional transport efficiency and benefited the formation of main active species,including•Oh and O_(2)•−,for the pollutant *** rate of photocatalytic removal of benzisothiazolinone(BIT)by the current photocatalyst reaches 1.25 h^(−1),being 4.31 times that of TiO_(2).The current work offers a constructive approach to the design and synthesis of nanostructured photocatalysts for the photocatalytic degradation of refractory organic pollutants.

Formic acid(FA),which is obtainable through CO_(2)hydrogenation with green hydrogen or biomass conversion,has been used as a prospective liquid organic hydrogen carrier(LOhC)because of the abundant advantages of renewability,wide availability,stability,and high volumetric capacity(53 g h_(2)/L).The development of highly efficient catalytic systems to achieve enhanced catalytic activity is attractive but still ***,ultrafine and highly dispersed PdAu nanoclusters(NCs)anchored on amino-modified reduced graphene oxide(ArGO)were successfully synthesized via a facile impregnation-reduction method and applied as a catalyst toward formic acid dehydrogenation(FAD).Benefiting from the promoting effect of amino groups,the strain and ligand effect in the alloy,and the Mott–Schottky effect between PdAu NCs and ArGO,the resultant PdAu/ArGO affords an ultrahigh activity under visible light irradiation with an exceptional turnover frequency value of 10,699.5 h^(-1)at 298 K without any additives,more than 2.6times improvement than that under dark,which is the highest among all reported catalysts under the same *** study provides a green and convenient strategy for developing more efficient and sustainable FAD catalysts and promotes the effective utilization of FA as a prospective renewable LOhC.

electrocatalytic nitrogen reduction reaction(NRR)is considered as an attractive approach for ammonia synthesis under mild conditions.A bottleneck of NRR is the exploration of efficient catalysts for accelerating reaction kinetics,among which heterogeneous structures possessing distinct atomic arrangement could modify electronic structure,and therefore altering their NRR ***,we report a facile strategy for fabricating hetero-phase metal oxides derived from metal organic framework that are further integrated with Au nanoparticles as NRR *** phase composition of zirconia can be easily adjusted by simply changing the reaction temperature,where the monoclinic and tetragonal phases with the roughly close proportions have a distinct interface,leading to a strong interaction between Au and ZrO_(2).The enhanced interaction renders Au to be more electropositive and facilitates stronger binding to N_(2).As a result,a remarkable ammonia yield of 22.32μg h^(-1)mg_(cat.)^(-1) and a Faradaic efficiency of 31.92%can be achieved at low *** work is expected to pave the way for the design of heterogeneous structures and the exploration of hetero-phase nanostructures in boosting the electrocatalytic NRR.

Sensing of both temperature and strain is crucial for various diagnostic and therapeutic ***,we present a novel hydrogel-based electronic skin(e-skin)capable of dual-mode sensing of temperature and *** thermocouple ion selected for this study is the iodine/triiodide(I−/I3−)redox couple,which is a common component in everyday *** leveraging the thermoelectric conversion in conjunction with the inherent piezoresistive effect of a gel electrolyte,self-powered sensing is achieved by utilizing the temperature difference between the human body and the external *** composite hydrogels synthesized from polyvinyl alcohol(PVA)monomers using a simple freeze‒thaw method exhibit remarkable flexibility,extensibility,and adaptability to human *** incorporation of zwitterions further augments the resistance of the hydrogel to dehydration and low temperatures,allowing maintenance of more than 90%of its weight after 48 h in the *** its robust thermal current response,the hydrogel was encapsulated and then integrated onto various areas of the human body,including the cheeks,fingers,and ***,the detection of the head-down state and the monitoring of foot movements demonstrate the promising application of the hydrogel in supervising the neck posture of sedentary office workers and the activity *** successful demonstration of self-powered on-body temperature and strain sensing opens up new possibilities for wearable intelligent electronics and robotics.

Serving as one of the largest rivers in terms of both sediment and organic carbon transport fluxes in the world,the Yellow River plays a crucial role in regional biogeochemical process as well as in the global carbon ***,although a large number of studies have been carried out on the flux,composition,source and seasonal variation of total particulate organic carbon in the Yellow River so far,studies on molecular biomarkers at different spatial and temporal scales are still *** this study,we focus on the molecular and hydrogen isotopic properties of leaf wax n-alkanes among different types of samples which obtained from different seasons(flood ***-flood)along the lower Yellow *** molecular distribution of n-alkanes show that the riparian topsoils are subject to inputs from the overlying vegetation,while the suspended sediments from the flood season are characterized by the mixing of soil materials which originate from various stratigraphy with different ages on the Chinese Loess *** to the contrasting hydrodynamic conditions,the n-alkanes in suspended sediments also show distinct molecular composition between flood and non-flood ***,considering the effect of climatic factors,the proportion of monocots in flood-season suspended sediments is calculated from a semi-quantitative perspective using δ^(2)h_(wax).Our findings may bring to light new considerations for the interpretation of leaf wax proxies in studies of organic matter sources of Yellow River.

Two-dimensional(2D)tungsten selenide(WSe_(2))is promising candidate material for future electronic applications,owing to its potential for ultimate device *** improving the electronic performance of WSe_(2)-based field-effect transistors(FeTs),the modification of surface properties is *** this study,the seamless structural phase transition in WSe_(2) lattice is achieved by soft oxygen plasma,regulating the electrical conductance of WSe_(2)-based *** found that during the soft oxygen plasma treatment with optimal processing time,the generated oxygen ions can substitute some selenium atoms and thus locally modify the bond length,inducing 2h→1T phase transition in WSe_(2) with seamless *** mosaic structures have been proven to tailor the electronic structure and increase the hole carrier concentration inside WSe_(2),significantly increasing the channel conductance of WSe_(2) *** the further increase of the oxygen plasma treatment time,the creation of more selenium vacancy defects leads to the electronic doping,resulting in the reduction of *** from the hexagonal boron nitride(h-BN)encapsulation to interrupt the partial structural relaxation from 1T to 2h phase,our WSe_(2) FeT exhibits high electronic stability with conductance of 6.8×10^(-4) S,which is about four orders of magnitude higher than 2h WSe_(2)(5.8×10^(-8) S).This study could further broaden the WSe_(2) FeTs in applications for functionalization and integration in electronics.

Facile Synthesis of Polyisothioureas via Alternating Copolymerization of Aziridines and Isothiocayanates

Isothiourea is an important class of sulfur-containing molecules showing unique catalytic and biological activities. As such,polyisothiourea is envisioned to be an interesting type of polymer that potentially exhibits a number of interesting properties. however, there is no access to synthesizing well-defined polyisothiourea, and currently isothiourea-containing polymers are mainly prepared by immobilizing onto other polymer's side chain. herein, we report the first facile synthesis of polyisothioureas via alternating copolymerization of aziridines and isothiocayanates. Mediated by the catalytic system of phosphazene superbases/alcohol, a broad scope of aziridines and isothiocayanates could be transformed into polyisothioureas with adjustable substitutions(11 examples). The structures of obtained polyisothioureas were fully characterized with ^(1)h-NMR, ^(13)C-NMR, and ^(1)h-^(13)C hMBC NMR. Moreover, the polyisothioureas show tunable thermal properties depending on substitutions on the isothiourea linkages. The novel structure of these polyisothioureas will enable a powerful platform for the discovery of nextgeneration functional plastics.
