Two fie.d e.pe.ime.ts we.e.conducte. at Saria in the.ce.tre.of Burkina Faso in orde. to asse.s the.e.fe.t of che.ical and organic fe.tilize.s on yie.ds and soil fe.tility on two diffe.e.t soils. Groundnut haulm yie.d, pod yie.d, numbe. of pods, % 2-se.de. pods, % pod rot, se.d yie.d and 100 se.ds we.ght as we.l as sorghum dry shoot and grain yie.ds we.e.me.sure.. Most of the.diffe.e.t variable. we.e.affe.te. by continuous cropping without fe.tilize. application on the.two soils, in particular on the.coarse.one. The.e.fe.t of nutrie.t de.icie.cie. was obse.ve.. The.mine.al fe.tilize.s maintaine. yie.ds, but the.r supply was not able.to re.le.ish the.nutrie.t uptake.by plants. The.e.fe.t of compost on crop production was initially minimal, but improve. during ye.rs se.e. and he.ght. Tillage.had also a slightly positive.e.fe.t on yie.d, which varie. with soil type. In the.control plot, the.conte.t of organic matte. de.re.se. in five.ye.rs and did not incre.se.with the.application of fe.tilize.s. In contrast, addition of fe.tilize.s incre.se. total N and Bray-I P. Nitroge., P, K and Ca balance. we.e.ne.ative.in almost all tre.tme.ts without mine.al fe.tilize.s. Re.ults showe. that fe.tilize.s use. we.e.inade.uate.for maintaining soil fe.tility and yie.ds in long run. Howe.e., e.tra production did not provide.significant profits.

The.dive.se.clinical pre.e.tation of He.icobacte. pylori (H. pylori) infe.tion re.ults from the.inte.action be.we.n bacte.ial virule.ce. host ge.e.ics, socio-de.ographic and e.vironme.tal factors. This study aime. to characte.ize.He.icobacte. pylori virule.ce.ge.e. and the.associate. be.avioral factors among dyspe.tic patie.ts in Burkina Faso. Two hundre. and fifty (250) stool sample. we.e.colle.te. from patie.ts with dyspe.sia se.n at he.lth ce.te.s in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. Bacte.ial de.xyribonucle.c acid (DNA) was e.tracte. using a comme.cial kit. Virule.ce.ge.e. we.e.de.e.te. using conve.tional multiple. Polyme.ase.Chain Re.ction with spe.ific prime.s. The.ove.all pre.ale.ce.of He.icobacte. pylori of the.250 participants was 91.20%. CagA virule.ce.ge.e.was pre.e.t among 20.19% of individuals, while.babA2 and vacA we.e.de.e.te. re.pe.tive.y among 9.65% and 67.54% of the.population positive.for He.icobacte. pylori. Among vacA subtype., vacAs1 was the.most fre.ue.t, with 39.04%, followe. by vacAi1 (19.74%), vacAi2 (17.54%), and vacAs2 with 10.96%. Re.arding vacAm1 and vacAm2, the. we.e.le.s fre.ue.t at 6.14% e.ch. “Handwashing thre. time. or le.s pe. day” significantly incre.se. the.risk of having vacAi2 alle.e.and H. pylori rRNA16s, with p-value. of 0.013 and 0.020, re.pe.tive.y. The.consumption of non-tap wate. incre.se. the.risk of carrying the.cagA virule.ce.ge.e. Additionally, H. pylori-positive.patie.ts living with more.than four (4) pe.ple.in the.r house.old had about two time. the.risk of having the.vacAs1 alle.e. The.pre.e.t study shows the.de.e.tion of He.icobacte. pylori cagA, vacA subtype., and babA2 by stool a PCR me.hod in Burkina Faso. The.strong association be.we.n sanitary habits and virule.ce.factors de.icts the.composite.inte.action be.we.n e.ological factors, gastric mucosa, and bacte.ia. The.e.ore. the.syne.gic action of the.e.factors should be.conside.e. whe. aiming for bacte.ial e.adication and gastric pathology cure.
