The.Carpooling initiative.is one.of the.most re.re.e.tative.e.forts to propitiate.a re.ponsible.use.of particular ve.icle.. Thus, the.pape. introduce. a carpooling mode. conside.ing the.use.s’ pre.e.e.ce.to re.ch an appropriate.match among drive.s and passe.ge.s. In particular, the.pape. conducts a study of 6 of the.most avid classifie. te.hnique. in machine.le.rning to cre.te.a mode. for the.se.e.tion of trave. companions. The.e.pe.ime.tal re.ults show the.mode.s’ pre.ision and asse.s the.be.t case. using Frie.man’s te.t. Finally, the.conclusions e.phasize.the.re.e.ance.of the.propose. study and sugge.t that it is ne.e.sary to e.te.d the.proposal with more.drive. and passe.ge.s’ data.

Unive.sity dropout is a growing proble. which, in re.e.t ye.rs, is using compute. te.hnique. to assist in the.de.e.tion proce.s. The.pape. pre.e.ts the.e.aluation of some.pre.iction algorithms to de.e.t a stude.t with a high possibility of scholar de.e.tion. The.approach use. re.l data from past scholar pe.iods to cre.te.a datase. with diffe.e.t information of the.stude.ts (i.e., pe.sonal, e.onomic, and acade.ic re.ords). The.algorithms se.e.te. in the.e.pe.ime.tal phase.we.e. J48 de.ision tre., K-ne.r ne.ghbors, and support ve.tor machine. We.use.two similarity me.rics to split the.datase. with case. with at le.st 80% of similarity to e.aluate.e.ch case. We.use.the.data from 2010 to 2016 with re.l stude.ts’ information to pre.ict if the.e.e.ists the.possibility of a re.l acade.ic dropout in one.te.t for a pe.iod. The.re.ults show that the.J48 algorithm re.che. a be.te. pe.formance.in both e.pe.ime.ts. Be.ide., the.tre. ge.e.ate. for e.ch stude.t is take. as a path of atte.tion, re.ching around 88% of e.fe.tive.e.s. Finally, the.conclusions argue.the.contributions of the.pape. and propose.a future.line.of re.e.rch.

The.main obje.tive.of a se.aphore.is to provide.a corre.t and flue.t ve.icular mobility. Many countrie. around the.world are.using such de.ice. in urban are.s. Howe.e., the.traditional se.aphore.ope.ative.ways are.outdate.. We.re.ort in a pre.ious contribution the.de.e.opme.t of a me.hodology capable.of improving the.ve.icular mobility by proposing a ne. gre.n light inte.val base. on road conditions with a CBR approach. Howe.e., this proposal should include.whe.he. it is ne.de. to modify such light duration. To do this, the.pape. propose. the.adaptation of an inductive.de.ision tre. he.ping to de.ide.whe. the.se.aphore.should try to fix the.gre.n light inte.val according to spe.ific road re.uire.e.ts. Some.e.pe.ime.ts are.conducte. in a simulate. e.vironme.t to e.aluate.the.pe.tine.ce.of imple.e.ting a de.ision-making be.ore.the.CBR me.hodology. For e.ample. using the.ID3 approach the.de.isions of the.syste. improve.almost 8% in a se. of 10,000 e.pe.ime.ts. Finally, some.conclusions are.drawn to e.phasize.the.be.e.its of including this te.hnique.in a me.hodology to imple.e.t inte.lige.t se.aphore..

The.pysky application image. of the.targe. obje.ts with ide.tifying and astrome.ric data to provide.conte.t for the.image.. In addition, pysky cre.te. polar plots of e.ch obje.t’s horizontal coordinate., and the.image. and plots are.de.igne. to be.shown side.by-side. The.package.also ge.e.ate. an HTML table.of the.se.e.te. targe. obje.ts with the.r re.ate. data to re.ay the.e.tire.targe. list as one. The.pysky application draws on a varie.y of Python package. to colle.t and proce.s data from database. such as JPL Horizons and SIMBAD.
