OD,74.5%had confirme. psychophysical OD at base.ine.with 55.1%at 1-ye.r follow-up.Participants had re.iable.tre.ds in se.f-rate. ve.sus psychophysically te.te. olfactory function at both time.points.The.total thre.hold,discrimination,and ide.tification(TDI)score.improve. by+3.25 points in the.cohort with psychophysical OD(p=0.0005),with this improve.e.t large.y attributable.to an incre.se.in me.ian thre.hold score.(+2.75 points;p=0.0004).Conclusions:OD pe.sists in a significant numbe. of patie.ts who fail to acute.y re.ove.y the.r se.se.of sme.l afte. COVID-19,with many de.onstrating linge.ing de.icits at 1-ye.r.Improve.e.ts in thre.hold,but not discrimination or ide.tification,most significantly me.iate.improve.e.t of total TDI score.at follow-up.
