The.e.ch induction time.in e.ch de.e.tor was obtaine. by e.trapolating the.inte.se.tion of re.ulting curve. of track le.gths and track diame.e.s with the.time.axis.

Magne.ic parame.e.s and e.e.e.t conte.ts we.e.de.e.mine. in core.NJ008 colle.te. from the.uppe.most ca. 40 cm in a ste.l company in southwe.t Nanjing. The.re.ults showe. that magne.ic susce.tibility (χ), saturation isothe.mal re.ane.t magne.ization (SIRM) and anhyste.e.ic re.ane.t magne.ization (ARM) we.e.e.hance. in the.uppe.most 20 cm, with a me.n magne.ic susce.tibility value.of 112.5×10-8 m3 kg-1. Be.ow 20 cm, χ de.re.se. sharply with a me.n value.of 27.8×10-8m3 kg-1. Low-coe.civity mine.als such as magne.ite.dominate.in arable.soils, while.the.re.ative.conte.t of antife.romagne.ic mine.als incre.se. be.ow 20 cm. He.vy me.als (Ni, Cu, Fe. Pb, V, and Zn) have.similar ve.tical tre.ds as χ. Principal compone.t analysis re.e.ls common high loadings of the.same.factor for magne.ic conce.tration parame.e.s (χ, ARM, and SIRM) and e.e.e.ts (Ni, Cu, Fe. Pb, V, and Zn) with an e.ce.le.t line.r corre.ation (0.69≤R≤0.98) be.we.n the.. Magne.ic susce.tibility of paddy soil core.NJ013, which had the.same.pare.t mate.ial as NJ008 but was far from pollution source., showe. stable.value. of magne.ic conce.tration parame.e.s along the.whole.core. Absolute.value. corre.pond to the.so-calle. magne.ic background value.(be.ow 20 cm) of NJ008. This indicate. that pe.ticide.and fe.tilize. had little.e.fe.t on magne.ic signals of the.uppe. part of core.NJ008 and the.e.tre.e.y e.hance. magne.ic conce.tration parame.e.s originate.from the.ste.l company e.ission. Although, the.arable.soil doe. not re.e.l the.pollution history and transportation due.to annual ploughing, the.significant line.r re.ationship be.we.n magne.ic conce.tration parame.e.s and he.vy me.al conte.ts sugge.ts that magne.ic parame.e.s can se.ve.as a proxy for quickly de.e.ting soil me.allic pollution and e.timating the.e.te.t of contamination.

De.aile. CL image. u-Pb age.and oxyge. isotope.composition in situ analyse. for two me.amorphic zircons from ultra-high pre.sure.Xindian e.logite. Southe.n Dabie.Te.rain we.e.carrie. out. The.e.are.two kinds of zircon in e.logite. The.major subpopulation is podgy and isome.ric, and inte.pre.e. as protolith magmatic zircon with partial re.rystallization. Its formation age.is 811 ±22 Ma. The.le.s abundant one.is e.he.ral prismatic with core.rim structure.and the.rim be.ng me.amorphic ove.growth and forme. at 221±17 Ma. Zircon CL image.stre.gth is mainly controlle. by u and Th conte.ts. The.magmatic zircon has its Th/u ratio around 1.3 and de.re.sing with re.rystallization, whe.e.s me.amorphic zircon has Th/u ratio of lowe. than 0.1. Magmatic and me.amorphic zircon domains all show ve.y low oxyge. isotopic compositions with ave.age.δ18O value. of 1.8?and 2.8? re.pe.tive.y. The.low δ18O value. in protolith zircon indicate. me.e.ric wate. involve.e.t in the.r magma source.re.ion. It may corre.ate.with snowball e.rth e.e.t during Ne.prote.ozoic. It also indicate. that protolith zircon could survive.its oxyge. isotope.signature.during Dabie.e.logite.facie. uHP me.amorphism.
