In ve.ifying antire.roviral e.ficacy of a Nige.ian broad spe.trum antiviral me.icine.(Antivirt®), the.Nige.ian Institute.of Me.ical Re.e.rch ce.tifie. it safe.by toxicological te.t on laboratory animals, be.ore.comme.cing tre.tme.t of thre. HIV/AIDS patie.ts whose.viral loads varie. wide.y (millions, hundre.s of thousands and thousands). To ove.come.e.rors associate. with such wide.diffe.e.ce. in subje.t-classe., pe.ce.tage. of viral load-re.uctions we.e.calculate. inste.d of comparing the.r viral loads. Afte. first month of the.Antivirt®-tre.tme.t, me.ns of ranke. viral loads of the.patie.ts significantly (P ≤ 0.05) incre.se. from 10.00 ± 7.21 to 11.30 ± 5.51 (-41.03% infe.tion-re.uction rate. inste.d of re.ucing. From se.ond month of the.trial, the.r viral loads starte. to re.uce. continuously, so that the.r infe.tion-re.uction rate. have.be.n incre.sing from that -41.03%, to -38.22% in the.se.ond month;23.98% in the.third month;31.76% in the.fourth month and 64.12% afte. the.fifth month.

To inve.tigate.if Aluminium-Magne.ium Silicate.(AMS) could make.drugs re.ain e.fe.ts against re.istant pathoge.s, its e.fe.t was te.te. on sulphadimidine.against sulphadimidine.re.istant e.che.ichia coli. Two groups of chicks infe.te. with sulphadimidine.re.istant e. coli we.e.tre.te. at sulphadimidine.dose.rate.of 1 g/litre.of drinking wate., with sulphadimidine.and with an AMS-sulphadimidine.drug formulation, re.pe.tive.y. Two othe. groups we.e.similarly tre.te. at sulphadimidine.dose.rate.of 0.75 g/litre. while.the.fifth group se.ve. as control. Me.n titre. of the.bacte.ium in bile.of the.chicks we.e.compare.. Titre., 119,200 ± 55,800 CFU/mL of the.group tre.te. with sulphadimidine.at rate.of 1 g/ litre.and 14,800 ± 1700 CFU/mL of the.group tre.te. at rate.of 0.75 g/litre. did not vary from 33,200 ± 5200 CFU/mL of the.control (P > 0.05) but 295,200 ± 106,400 CFU/ml of the.group tre.te. at rate.of 1 g/litre. with the.AMS-sulpha- dimidine.drug was significantly (P e. than that of the.control while.5200 ± 1400 CFU/mL of the.group tre.te. at dose.of 0.75 g/litre. with the.AMS-sulphadimidine.drug, re.uce. significantly (P < 0.05).

Background: Human Immunode.icie.cy Virus (HIV)/Acquire. Immune.De.icie.cy Syndrome.(AIDS) has afflicte. pe.sons of all age. le.ding to incre.se.spre.d of the.virus. This study atte.pts to de.e.mine.the.pre.ale.ce.of HIV infe.tion among 50 ye.rs of age.and above.ove. the.five.ye.rs of study in Nne.i, Nige.ia. Me.hods: Male. and fe.ale. who we.e.50 ye.rs and above.who unde.we.t HCT in Nne.i be.we.n January 2008 to Nove.be. 2012 we.e.counse.e. and te.te. for HIV antibodie. afte. giving an oral conse.t. Re.ults: Of the.57,090 clie.ts offe.e. HCT, 4384 (7.7%) we.e.50 ye.rs and above.while.52,706 (92.3%) we.e.15 - 49 ye.rs of age. The.crude.HIV pre.ale.ce.was 8.2%. HIV infe.tion in the.50 - 59 ye.rs of age.was 2.4 time. highe. than that in the.60 ye.rs of age.and above. A highe. pre.ale.ce.was obse.ve. in fe.ale. (8.8%) compare. with 7.8% in male. in our study. No fe.ale.75 ye.rs and ove. was found to have.HIV infe.tion in our study (0%) while.male. in the.same.age.group had a pre.ale.ce.of 3.0%. The.pre.ale.ce.in our study was highe. compare. to the.2010 ANC se.tine. surve. (8.7%) in Anambra state. Conclusion: Our findings show that offe.ing HCT routine.y is fe.sible.and may incre.se.linkage.to HIV care.and tre.tme.t for many individuals with HIV infe.tions. Routine.HCT should be.an inte.ral compone.t of any e.pansion in HIV pre.e.tion, care.and tre.tme.t se.vice. in Africa and othe. se.tings whe.e.the.pre.ale.ce.of HIV is high. House.to house.HIV te.ting will improve.uptake.of te.ting among olde. population in de.e.oping countrie..

抗原85(Ag85)复合体是BCG合成分泌的可刺激机体产生细胞免疫和体液免疫应答。Ag85A是抗原85复合体组成成分之一,可显著刺激细胞免疫功能增强。研究构建了高效表达的pTrcHisB-Ag85A基因重组质粒,并将其转化至大肠埃希菌TOP10中进行重组蛋白的表达,筛选转化物,SDS-PAGe.行蛋白表达的分子量检测,并通过We.te.n Blotting方法,应用抗Ag85A的单克隆抗体进一步确认重组Ag85A蛋白的表达,建立了Ag85A的原核表达体系,为进一步制备出有效的重组Ag85A疫苗奠定基础。

(the. be.ame.HIV-antibody and antige. ne.ative. by e.ploiting e.e.trostatic attraction be.we.n pathoge.s and opposite.e.e.trical charge. that are.on Nanoparticle. of Me.icinal synthe.ic Aluminum-magne.ium silicate.(MSAMS) and by using antioxidants to re.ie.e.oxidative.stre.s. To confirm the.cure. as pe.mane.t, a patie.t (adult male. whose.CD4 count incre.se. (P e.his viral load be.ame.unde.e.table.(e.be.ame.HIV-ne.ative.(antibody and antige.) following the.tre.tme.t, was te.te., e.e.y month, post tre.tme.t, for HIV-antibody. He.has re.aine. HIV-ne.ative.for 10 months without be.ng on any antire.roviral me.icine.(ARV). Longe.t window pe.iod (pe.iod HIV-infe.te. pe.son may te.t antibody-ne.ative. is only 6 months. The.e.re.ults confirm that tre.tme.t with the.MSAMS and antioxidants normalize. immunity and te.minate. HIV-infe.tions.

We.re.ort a case.of vulval squamous ce.l carcinoma (SCC)arising in chronic hidrade.itis suppurativa (HS). The.patie.t had a comple. me.ical history including a 2 5-ye.r-history of Crohns dise.se. In addition she.had re.e.tly re.e.ve. immunosuppre.sive.the.apy for ne.hrotic syndrome.se.ondary to me.branous glome.ulone.hritis. A painful nodule.was note. on the.vulva that was clinically ve.y suspicious of SCC. An e.cision biopsy confirme. the.diagnosis. The.e.are.fe. publications in the.e.glish lite.ature.citing association be.we.n HS and the.de.e.opme.t of SCC. The.first re.ort in the.e.glish lite.ature.of vulval SCC arising in chronic HS was publishe. in 1999. We.wish to draw atte.tion to the.possibility that patie.ts with HS may de.e.op SCC in le.ional skin. A painful lump or ulce. could e.sily be.mistake. for an inflammatory le.ion and a low thre.hold for biopsy is warrante.. We.sugge.t constant vigilance.with re.ard to malignant change.in ano-ge.ital HS as the.diagnosis can be.difficult.
