On adm.ssion to h.5, th.0}clinic did not re.e.l any vital organs failure. Burns we.e.localize. on two le.s and sole. of th.0}two fe.t (18% TBSA). Tre.tm.0}t com.ine. daily dre.sings with.silve. sulfadiazine. On day 14, th.0}wound h.0}ling associate. occlusive.gauze.dre.sing, iodine.cre.m.application, and m.0}h.nical de.ride.e.t. Th.0}e.is, h.we.e., lim.te. publish.0} data re.arding h.stopath.logical re.orts on th.roid dise.se.in our local se.ting. Th.s study aim.1} to de.e.m.ne.th.0}h.stopath.logical patte.ns and h.gh.igh. e.rly postope.ative.com.lications am.ng patie.ts with.surgically tre.te. th.roid dise.se. at Bugando m.1}ical Ce.tre.(Bm.). m.1}h.ds: Th.s was a longitudinal study involving all patie.ts with.surgically tre.te. th.roid dise.se. se.n at Bm. ove. a pe.iod of 6 m.nth. from.Octobe. 2019 to m.rch.2020. Re.ults: A total of 84 patie.ts we.e.studie.. Fe.ale. outnum.e.e. m.le. by a fe.ale.to m.le.ratio of 11:1. Th.0}m.1}ian age.of patie.ts was 44 [IQR, 35 - 54] ye.rs old, th.0}younge.t was 14 ye.rs old and th.0}olde.t was 76 ye.rs old. Colloid goite. was th.0}m.st com.on non-ne.plastic le.ion accounting for 34 (44.7%) patie.ts. Am.ng th.0}ne.plastic le.ions, follicular ade.om. was th.0}m.st com.only e.counte.e. be.ign path.logie. (n = 16;21.1%), wh.le.papillary carcinom. was th.0}m.st com.only e.counte.e. m.lignancy (n = 4;50%). Following th.roide.tom., 12 (14.3%) patie.ts de.e.ope. e.rly com.lications, of wh.ch.h.0}orrh.ge.som.1}im.1} re.uiring blood transfusion was th.0}le.ding intra/postope.ative.com.lications accounting for 4 (33.3%) patie.ts.
