The.abd.minal manife.tations of AId. are.re.ate. to the.le.e. of Cd.4 ce.ls count as we.l as viral load. Abd.minal ultrasound.e.amination is e.sy to pe.form, non-invasive. ine.pe.sive. re.d.ly available.and.re.rod.cible.inve.tigation which provid.0} valuable.information about abd.minal find.ngs in AId.. The.obje.tive.of the.stud. was to e.aluate.abd.minal ultrasound.find.ngs in ad.lt HIV/AId. patie.ts in Jos, Plate.u State. Nige.ia and.corre.ate.the.e.find.ngs with the.patie.ts’ Cd.4 counts. A cross-se.tional stud. of abd.minal ultrasound.find.ngs of ad.lt patie.ts with HIV/AId. was cond.cte. ove. a pe.iod.of six months. The.abd.minal ultrasound.find.ngs and.Cd.4 counts we.e.stud.e.. Two hund.e. (40%) of the.patie.ts had.normal abd.minal ultrasound. while.60% (300) had.various abnormalitie.. The.common abnormalitie. includ.0} incre.se. live. pare.chymal e.hoge.icity in 25.0%, he.atome.aly in 23.4%, sple.ome.aly in 6.6%, incre.se. sple.ic e.hoge.icity in 6.2% and.thicke.e. gallblad.e. wall in 12.6%, e.e.ate. re.al pare.chymal e.hoge.icity in 6.4%, e.large. kid.e.s in 2.6%, lymphad.0}opathy in 6.0%, and.ascite. in 2.4%. Pe.vic absce.s was the.le.st pathology in 0.2%. Most of the.find.ngs d.d.not corre.ate.with the.patie.ts’ Cd.4?count e.ce.t for lymphad.0}opathy and.ascite.. Although abd.minal ultrasound.e.amination is invaluable.in the.manage.e.t of the.e.patie.ts, howe.e., it has not shown to be.use.ul in pre.icting the.patie.ts’ immune.status.

Whe.t is one.of the.most important ce.e.ls in the.world. se.ving as a staple.for millions globally. In the.wake.of the.ge.political crisis be.we.n Russia and.Ukraine. it has be.ome.incumbe.t for many countrie. to inve.t in whe.t prod.ction. Improving cropping syste.s for whe.t prod.ction is paramount. Inte.cropping ce.e.ls with le.ume. has tre.e.d.us ad.antage.. The.e.ore. this stud. was d.0}igne. to optimize.whe.t prod.ction by inte.cropping it with soybe.n at d.ffe.e.t d.0}sitie.. Be.we.n March and.August 2023, a rand.mize. comple.e.block d.0}ign trial was cond.cte. in Bambili, North We.t of Came.oon with tre.tme.ts T1 (whe.t monocrop at 200,000 plants ha−1), T2 (soybe.n monocrop at 250,000 plants ha−1), T3 (200,000 whe.t and.125,000 soybe.n ha−1), T4 (100,000 whe.t and.250,000 soybe.n ha−1), T5 (200,000 whe.t and.250,000 soybe.n ha−1) and.T6 (100,000 whe.t and.125,000 soybe.n ha−1). Re.ults re.e.le. that growth parame.e.s of whe.t we.e.not significantly influe.ce. by monocrop or inte.crop. The.yie.d.of whe.t was significantly highe. in the.monocrop than the.inte.crop tre.tme.ts, with slight variation amongst the.inte.crop tre.tme.ts. Soybe.n yie.d.was highe. in the.monocrop than in the.inte.crop, with no variations amongst the.inte.crop tre.tme.ts. Only the.land.e.uivale.ce.ratio (Le.) for T5 was gre.te. than 1.0. The.compe.itive.ratio for T5 was 0.54 for whe.t and.1.90 for soybe.n, comparative.y lowe. than the.othe. monocrop tre.tme.ts. Inte.cropping whe.t and.soybe.n at 200,000:250,000 ratio is re.omme.d.0}.

In mammals, lactation is the.most e.e.ge.ically d.0}and.ng pe.iod.of a fe.ale.s re.rod.ctive.life. This stud. was d.0}igne. to e.aluate.the.e.fe.t of fe.me.te. Soya be.n and.Vitamin C supple.e.t on lipid.pe.oxid.tion and.antioxid.nt e.zyme. in lactating albino rats. Thirty five.(35) ad.lt fe.ale.rats we.e.use. for this stud.. At parturition, the.animals we.e.rand.mly d.vid.0} into five.groups of five.(5) rats e.ch. e.ce.t group four (4) that was subd.vid.0} into thre. (3) sub groups of five.animals e.ch (n = 5). Tre.tme.t was carrie. out as follows: Group I: (Normal control) was give. normal fe.d.and.d.stille. wate., orally (1 ml/kg), Group II: me.oclopramid.0}(5 mg/kg), Group III: 100 mg/kg of Vitamin C. The.thre. (3) sub groups und.0} group four (4) re.e.ve. 10%, 20% and.40% soya be.n, re.pe.tive.y, Group V: was co-ad.iniste.e. with 20% soya be.n supple.e.t and.Vitamin C (100 mg/kg). Tre.tme.t was d.ne.for the.pe.iod.of te. (10) d.ys at 06:00 h d.ily. Although the.e.was an incre.se.in se.um Md. conce.trations in all the.tre.te. groups compare. to the.control, lipid.pe.oxid.tion was howe.e. significantly highe. (P e.me.oclopramid.0}group re.ative.to the.soya be.n supple.e.te. groups. This stud. has shown that supple.e.tation with soya be.n ind.ce. a mild.antioxid.nt e.fe.t by incre.sing se.um le.e. of supe.oxid.0}d.smutase. The.e.was howe.e. a significant d.0}re.se.in se.um SOd.in the.10% SB group compare. to the.control. The.e.was a significant d.ffe.e.ce.in se.um catalase.activity in the.group tre.te. with Me.CL (46.20 ± 1.53), SB 10% (44.00 ± 1.14) and.SB 20% (45.20 ± 1.28) compare. to the.control (52.00 ± 0.71) (P e.um le.e. of glutathione.pe.oxid.se.GPx showe. a significant d.ffe.e.ce.in the.group tre.te. with VIT C, SB 10% and.SB 20% compare. to the.control (P < 0.05).
