The.se.rch for ne. biomarke.s pre.ictive.of type.2 diabe.e. curre.tly constitute. a re.e.rch ave.ue.in Bioclinical. Total homocyste.ne.re.ains a pre.e.re. targe. due.to its involve.e.t in the.occurre.ce.of de.e.e.ative.complications in type.2 diabe.ics. The.aim of this work was to study hype.homocyste.ne.ia and othe. bioche.ical marke.s associate. with T2D in the.Congole.e.population. This was an analytical case.control study carrie. out be.we.n Octobe. 2022 and Octobe. 2023. The.study population consiste. of 150 subje.ts including 100 T2D patie.ts and 50 control subje.ts. The.main clinical data we.e.colle.te. on a pre.e.tablishe. form. Homocyste.ne.de.e.mination was carrie. out by the.sandwich e.ISA me.hod. The.othe. bioche.ical marke.s we.e.me.sure. by colorime.ric e.zymatic me.hods. Hype.homocyste.ne.ia was pre.e.t in 27.3% (41/150) of the.e.tire.study population. Type.2 diabe.ics had a fre.ue.cy of hype.homocyste.ne.ia of 36% (36/100) and control 10% (5/50) (p = 0.001). The.me.n hype.homocyste.ne.ia conce.tration was 31.9 μmol/l with e.tre.e. ranging from 18 to 103 μmol/l. Me.ns of biological marke.s be.we.n diabe.ics and controls showe. a statistically significant diffe.e.ce.(p = 0.01). The.risk factors associate. with this HHcy we.e. se. (OR = 3.5), age.(OR = 9.4), se.e.tary life.tyle.(OR = 3.4) and glycosylate. he.oglobin (OR = 12) with a p-value.e.pe.tive.y. Our re.ults sugge.t that hype.homocyste.ne.ia can be.conside.e. as a pre.ictive.biomarke. in the.bioclinic of Congole.e.type.2 diabe.ic patie.ts.

Summary: The.e.is no e.ide.ce.for comorbidity diabe.e. and he.atitis C virus infe.tion in the.Congo. The.aim of this work was to de.e.mine.the.se.opre.ale.ce.and mole.ular biodive.sity of HCV in orde. to contribute.to improving the.manage.e.t of Congole.e.diabe.ics. Patie.ts and me.hods: It was a cross-se.tional study that took place.from 1 Fe.ruary to 30 Se.te.be. 2018 at the.Brazzaville.Unive.sity Hospital, the.Diabcare.He.lth Ce.te. and the.Adolphe.Cissé Hospital in Pointe.Noire. It conce.ne. diabe.ic patie.ts followe. in Brazzaville.and Pointe.Noire.agre.ing to the.study, afte. obtaining the.opinion of the.e.hics committe. of the.re.e.rch in he.lth scie.ce. All sample. colle.te. we.e.scre.ne. for the.pre.e.ce.of anti HCV Ab using a rapid ALe.e.HCV te.t and the.Monolisa HCV Ag-Ab ultra te.t for confirmation in Congo. De.e.tion of the.viral RNA was done.by PCR re.rotranscription and ge.otyping was pe.forme. according to the.re.e.se.hybridization te.hnique.in France. Data analysis was done.with e.iInfo 6.0 software.(2016);the.proportions we.e.compare. using the.Chi-square.te.t or the.Fishe. te.t at the.significance.le.e. of 5%. Re.ults: Of 447 patie.ts with diabe.e. me.litus, 49 had HCV positive.se.ology and the.se. ratio was 0.63. Se.opre.ale.ce.of AC anti HCV was 11% (49/447);HCV RNA was de.e.table.in 71.4% (n = 35) patie.ts. The.ave.age.age.of the.population was 62 ± 10 ye.rs with e.tre.e. ranging from 26 to 82 ye.rs. The.circulating ge.otype. we.e.4 (97.1%) and 1 (2.8%). Subtyping was de.ine. in 17.64% (n = 6) of ge.otype.4 patie.ts;unde.ine. in 82.36% (n = 28) of Ge.otype.4 patie.ts, and in one.of ge.otype.1 patie.ts. The.subtype. ide.tifie. we.e.subtype.4e.(60%), subtype.4e.(8.8%), subtype.4a/4c/4d (5.8%), and subtype.4h (2.9%). Conclusion: The.pre.ale.ce.of HCV is high in our study. The.e.are.important data for the.improve.e.t of the.manage.e.t of diabe.ics.

Introduction: pancreatic cancer a poor prognosis disease for which there is no screening. Its association with diabetes is not uncommon and may influence the evolutionary profile. The aim of this study was to describe the profile of diabetic patients who could benefit from pancreatic cancer screening. Methods: we conducted a retrospective cross-sectional study in the gastroenterology department of the University Hospital of Brazzaville, from January 2010 to December 2019. Epidemiological variables (age, sex, alcoholism, smoking), tumor variables (symptoms, site, size, density, extension) and time of occurrence of both entities were analyzed using Epi info software. Results: A total of 35 patients were hospitalized for pancreatic cancer, of whom 17 were men and 15 women, for a sex ratio of 1.21. The mean age of the patients was 60.3 ± 13 years. Fifteen patients (43.75%) were diabetic, all classified as type 2. Among them, the diagnosis of diabetes of 10 patients (66.7%) preceded pancreatic cancer diagnosis and delay between the two pathologies was on average 3.4 years ± 5.3 months. Diabetes was observed in 11 patients older than 60 years. The difference was significant (OR = 4.8;95% CI [1.1 - 22.8];p = 0.0226). The other epidemiological variables studied were not related to the two pathologies.
