The thermomechanical fatigue behaviour of different high temperature alloys has been investigated and is under investigation respectively. The creep-fatigue behaviour of heat resistant steels was investigated by long-term service-type strain cycling tests simulating thermomechanical fatigue (TMF-) loading conditions at the heated surface of e.g. turbine rotors. Single-stage as well as three-stage cycles leads to similar results at the application of the damage accumulation rule. Life prediction which simulates typical combinations of cold starts, warm starts and hot starts has been established successfully for isothermal service-type loading and will be exceeded for thermomechanical loading. Long-term thermomechanical fatigue testing of Thermal Barrier Coating systems show typical delamination damage. An advanced TMF cruciform testing system enables complex multiaxial loading.

Cob is an earthen building material comprised of sand,clay,straw,and water used for millennia to construct *** cob construction largely died out during the nineteenth century,it is experiencing a revival in england and the Pacific Northwest of the United *** scientific research has investigated the engineering properties of cob,knowledge of which is important for modern-day design practices and code *** at Oregon State University investigated six different Oregon cob mixtures using a series of standard soils and concrete tests adapted for this *** objectives were to characterize the constituents,to establish estimates for the magnitude of,and degree of variability in,the mixture properties,and to develop correlations between the engineering properties and mixture *** indicated low to moderate variation in basic mixture properties(i.e.,unit weight,moisture content,and sand equivalent),moderate variation in strength properties,and high variation in the elastic *** reasonable correlations were found between shrinkage,compressive strength,elastic modulus,and sand equivalent and between flexural strength and fiber tensile strength.

Body height,body mass index,hip and waist circumference are important risk factors or outcome variables in clinical and epidemiological research with complex underlying ***,these classical anthropometric traits represent only a very limited view on the human body and other traits with potentially higher functional specificity are not yet studied to a larger *** of LIFe-Adult were assessed by three-dimensional body scanner VITUS XXL determining 99 high-quality anthropometric traits in *** was performed by Axiom Genome-Wide CeU 1 Array Plate microarray technology and imputation was done using 1000 Genomes phase 3 reference *** phenotype and genetic information are available for a total of 7,562 *** heritabilities were estimated for height traits(maximum heritability with h2=44%for neck height)and 61 traits achieved values larger than 20%.By genome-wide analyses,we identified 16 loci associated with at least one of the 99 *** of these loci were not described for association with classical anthropometric traits so *** strongest novel association was observed for 7p14.3(rs11979006,P=2.12×10^(-9))for the trait Back Width with ZNRF2 as the most plausible candidate *** established for association with classical anthropometric traits were subjected to anthropometric phenome-wide association *** the reported 709 loci,211 *** with body scanner traits(enrichment:OR=1.96,P=1.08×10^(-61)).We conclude that genetics of 3D laser-based anthropometry is promising to identify novel loci and to improve the functional understanding of established ones.

We present major and trace element compositions of mineral concentrates comprising garnet xenocrysts,ilmenite,phlogopite,spinel,zircon,and uncommon minerals(titanite,calzirtite,anatase,baddeleyite and pyrochlore)of a newly discovered Late Cretaceous kimberlite(U-Pb zircon age 90.0±1.3 Ma;2σ)named Osvaldo Franca 1,located in the Alto Paranaíba Igneous Province(APIP),southeastern *** grains are lherzolitic(Lherz-1,Lherz-2 and Lherz-3),harzburgitic(Harz-3)and wehrlitic(Wehr-2).The pyrope xenocrysts cover a wide mantle column in the subcratonic lithosphere(66–143 km;20–43 kbar)at relatively low temperatures(811–875°C).The shallowest part of this mantle is represented by Lherz-1 pyropes(20–32 kbar),which have low-Cr(Cr_(2)O_(3)=1.74–6.89 wt.%)and fractionated middle to heavy rare earth elements(MRee-HRee)*** deepest samples are represented by Lherz-2,Lherz-3,Harz-3,and Wehr-2 pyropes(36–43 kbar).They contain high-Cr contents(Cr_(2)O_(3)=7.36–11.19 wt.%)and are characterized by sinusoidal(Lherz-2 and Wehr-2)and spoon-like(Lherz-3 and Harz-3)Ree *** to their Ree and trace elements,pyrope xenocrysts have enriched nature(e.g.,Ce and Yb ***_(2)O_(3)),indicating that the cratonic lithosphere has been affected by a silicate melt with subalkaline/tholeiite composition due to their low Zr,Ti and Y *** minerals with typical kimberlitic signatures,such as ilmenite and zircon,the exotic compositions of phlogopite and ulvöspinel suggest an enriched component in the magma *** formation of rare mineral phases with strong enrichment of light-Ree(LRee)and high field strength elements(HFSe)is attributed to the late-stage kimberlitic *** propose a tectonic model where a thermal anomaly,represented by the low-velocity seismic anomaly observed in P-wave seismic tomography images,supplied heat to activate the alkaline magmatism from a metasomatized cratonic mantle source during the late-stages of Gondwana fragmentation and conse

许多管道和管道系统从外部仅为部分可达甚至完全不可达,如独立管道、水下管道或埋地管道。因此,如果不解决独立问题或去除管道覆盖物,就无法实现管道裂纹或腐蚀的检测,然而解决可达问题或去除覆盖物时需要花费不菲的费用甚至根本不能实现。由此对长距离检测系统产生了需求。对于光杆和管的局部腐蚀检测,业界已经研制成功了基于超声的检测系统[1-3]。然而,目前由于外形尺寸以及费用等,这些系统并不适用于以SHM为目的的检测。为了完成用大量探头单元涵盖一个完整的产业厂房的检测,有必要研发新型的检测硬件、探头技术以及数据评估技术。
