Crossing conjugate normal faults(CCNFs)are extensively developed in many hydrocarbon-producing basins,generally existing in the form of incomplete ***,the effect of the non-conjugate zone of the CCNFs on the conjugate relay zone post late tectonic action has not been previously *** use 3D elastic-plastic modeling to investigate the influence of incomplete(i.e.,partially intersecting)CCNFs on the pattern of deformation of strata in the intersection region.A series of model simulations were performed to examine the effects of horizontal tectonic extension,fault size,and fault depth on the deformation of conjugate relay zones of incomplete *** analyses yielded the following results.(1)The model of incomplete conjugation predicts a convex-up style of deformation in the conjugate graben region superimposed on overall subsidence under applied horizontal tectonic extension.(2)The degree of convex-up deformation of the conjugate graben depends on the influence of the non-conjugate zone on the conjugate relay zone,which varies with the amount of horizontal tectonic extension,fault size,and fault burial depth.(3)Our results indicate that incomplete CCNFs can form convex-up deformation,similar to that in the Nanpu Sag area and provide a sound understanding of hydrocarbon migration and accumulation.

Contact engineering for temperature stability improvement of Bi-contacted MoS2 field effect transistors

Semimetallic bismuth（Bi） is one of the most effective strategies for reducing the contact resistance of two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenide field effect transistors（FeTs）. However, the low melting point of Bi contact（271.5℃） limits its reliable applications. In this study, we demonstrated that the temperature stability of Bi-contacted electrodes could be improved by inserting a high-melting point semimetallic antimony（Sb） between the Bi contacting layer and the gold（Au） capping layer. The proposed Bi/Sb/Au contact electrodes tended to form a metal mixture with a continuous surface during the heating process（Voids appeared on the surface of the Bi/Au contact electrodes after heating at 120℃）. Because of the improved contacting layer formed by the semimetal Bi/Sb alloy, the fabricated Bi/Sb/Au-contacted molybdenum sulfide（MoS2） FeTs with different gate lengths demonstrated higher on-state current stability after heating treatment than the Bi/Au contact. Because of the Bi/Sb/Au contact and poly（methyl methacrylate） package, the MoS2FeTs demonstrated time stability of at least two months from the almost unchanged transfer characteristics. The electrical stability indicates that the insertion of semimetallic Sb is a promising technology for reliable Bi-based contact.

Ammonia is gaining increasing attention as a green alternative fuel for achieving large-scale carbon emission reduction. Despite its potential technical prospects, the harsh ignition conditions and slow flame propagation speed of ammonia pose significant challenges to its application in engines. Non-equilibrium plasma has been identified as a promising method, but current research on plasma-enhanced ammonia combustion is limited and primarily focuses on ignition characteristics revealed by kinetic models. In this study, low-temperature and low-pressure chemistry in plasma-assisted ammonia oxidative pyrolysis is investigated by integrated studies of steady-state GC measurements and mathematical simulation. The detailed kinetic mechanism of NH3decomposition in plasma-driven Ar/NH3and Ar/NH3/O2mixtures has been developed. The numerical model has good agreements with the experimental measurements in NH3/O2consumption and N2/H2generation, which demonstrates the rationality of modelling. Based on the modelling results, species density profiles, path flux and sensitivity analysis for the key plasmaproduced species such as NH2, NH, H2, OH, H, O, O（1D）, O2（a1△g）, O2（b1∑g+）, Ar*, H-, Ar+, NH3+, O2-in the discharge and afterglow are analyzed in detail to illustrate the effectiveness of the active species on NH3excitation and decomposition at low temperature and relatively higher e/N values. The results revealed that NH2, NH, H as well as H2are primarily generated through the electron collision reactions e + NH3→ e + NH2+ H, e + NH3→ e + NH + H2and the excited-argon collision reaction Ar*+ NH3+ H → Ar + NH2+ 2H, which will then react with highly reactive oxidative species such as O2*, O*, O, OH, and O2to produce stable products of NOx and H2O. NH3→ NH is found a specific pathway for NH3consumption with plasma assistance, which further highlights the enhanced kinetic effects.

Hypoxia off the Changjiang River estuary has been the subject of much attention,yet systematic observations have been lacking,resulting in a lack of knowledge regarding its long-term change and *** revisiting the repeated surveys of dissolved oxygen(DO) and other relevant hydrographic parameters along the section from the Changjiang River estuary to the Jeju-do in the summer from 1997 to 2014,rather different trends were revealed for the dual low-DO *** nearshore low-DO core,located close to the river mouth and relatively stable,shows that hypoxia has become more severe with the lowest DO descen ding at a rate of -0.07 mg/(L·a) and the thickness of low-DO zone rising at a rate of 0.43 m/*** offshore core,centered around 40-m isobath but moving back and forth between 123.5°-125°e,shows large fluctuations in the minimum DO concentration,with the thickness of low-DO zone falling at a rate of -1.55 m/*** probable factors affecting the minimum DO concentration in the two regions also *** the nearshore region,the decreasing minimum DO is driven by the increase in both stratification and primary productivity,with the enhanced extension of the Changjiang River Diluted Water(CDW) strengthening *** the offshore region,the fluctuating trend of the minimum DO concentration indicates that both DO loss and DO supplement are *** DO loss is primarily attributed to bottom apparent oxygen utilization caused by the organic matter decay and is also relevant to the advection of low-DO water from the nearshore *** DO supplement is primarily due to weakened *** analysis also shows that the minimum DO concentration in the nearshore region was extremely low in 1998,2003,2007 and 2010,related to el Ni?o signal in these summers.

With an extension of the geological entropy concept in porous media,the approach called directional entrogram is applied to link hydraulic behavior to the anisotropy of the 3D fracture networks.A metric called directional entropic scale is used to measure the anisotropy of spatial order in different *** with the traditional connectivity indexes based on the statistics of fracture geometry,the directional entropic scale is capable to quantify the anisotropy of connectivity and hydraulic conductivity in heterogeneous 3D fracture *** to the numerical analysis of directional entrogram and fluid flow in a number of the 3D fracture networks,the hydraulic conductivities and entropic scales in different directions both increase with spatial order(i.e.,trace length decreasing and spacing increasing)and are independent of the dip *** a result,the nonlinear correlation between the hydraulic conductivities and entropic scales from different directions can be unified as quadratic polynomial function,which can shed light on the anisotropic effect of spatial order and global entropy on the heterogeneous hydraulic behaviors.
