As digital data circulation increases,information pollution and manipulation in journalism have become more *** this study,a new digital journalism model is designed to contribute to the solution of the main current problems,such as information pollution,manipulation,and account-ability in digital *** model uses blockchain technology due to its transparency,immutability,and ***,it is tough to provide the mechanisms necessary for journalism,such as updating one piece of information,instantly updating all other information affected by the updated information,establishing logical relationships between news,making quick comparisons,sorting and indexing news,and keeping the changing informa-tion about the news in the system,with the blockchain data *** this reason,in our study,we have developed a new data structure that provides both the immutability,transparency and traceability properties of the blockchain and can support the communication mechanisms necessary for *** functionality of our proposed data structure is demonstrated in terms of communication mechanisms such as mutability,context,consistency,and reliability through example ***,our data structure is compared with the data structure of blockchain technology in terms of time,space,and maintenance ***,while the model size increases linearly in blockchain,the model’s size remains approximately constant since the structure we developed is *** this way,maintenance costs are *** our model also has an indexing mechanism,it reduces the linear time search complexity to logarithmic *** a result,the data structure we developed is found to have higher performance than blockchain in the journalism *** future studies,it is planned to test all aspects of the model with a pilot application,eliminate its shortcomings,and develop a holistic approach to the root causes of the problems in the journalism

Patients with alcoholic liver disease frequently exhibit increased body iron stores, as reflected by elevated serum iron indices (transferrin saturation, ferritin) and hepatic iron concentration. Even mild to moderate alcohol consumption has been shown to increase the prevalence of iron overload. Moreover, increased hepatic iron content is associated with greater mortality from alcoholic cirrhosis, suggesting a pathogenic role for iron in alcoholic liver disease. Alcohol increases the severity of disease in patients with genetic hemochromatosis, an iron overload disorder common in the Caucasian population. Both iron and alcohol individually cause oxidative stress and lipid peroxidation, which culminates in liver injury. Despite these observations, the underlying mechanisms of iron accumulation and the source of the excess iron observed in alcoholic liver disease remain unclear. Over the last decade, several novel iron-regulatory proteins have been identified and these have greatly enhanced our understanding of iron metabolism. For example, hepcidin, a circulatory antimicrobial peptide synthesized by the hepatocytes of the liver is now known to play a central role in the regulation of iron homeostasis. This review attempts to describe the interaction of alcohol and iron-regulatory molecules. Understanding these molecular mechanisms is of considerable clinical importance because both alcoholic liver disease and genetic hemochromatosis are common diseases, in which alcohol and iron appear to act synergistically to cause liver injury.

Despite heavy consumption over a long period of time, only a small number of alcoholics develop alcoholic liver disease. This alludes to the possibility that other factors, besides alcohol, may be involved in the progression of the disease. Over the years, many such factors have indeed been identified, including iron. Despite being crucial for various important biological processes, iron can also be harmful due to its ability to catalyze Fenton chemistry. Alcohol and iron have been shown to interact synergistically to cause liver injury. Iron-mediated cell signaling has been reported to be involved in the pathogenesis of experimental alcoholic liver disease. Hepcidin is an iron-regulatory hormone synthesized by the liver, which plays a pivotal role in iron homeostasis. Both acute and chronic alcohol exposure suppress hepcidin expression in the liver. The sera of patients with alcoholic liver disease, particularly those exhibiting higher serum iron indices, have also been reported to display reduced prohepcidin levels. Alcohol-mediated oxidative stress is involved in the inhibition of hepcidin promoter activity and transcription in the liver. This in turn leads to an increase in intestinal iron transport and liver iron storage. Hepcidin is expressed primarily in hepatocytes. It is noteworthy that both hepatocytes and Kupffer cells are involved in the progression of alcoholic liver disease. However, the activation of Kupffer cells and TnF-α signaling has been reported not to be involved in the down-regulation of hepcidin expression by alcohol in the liver. Alcohol acts within the parenchymal cells of the liver to suppress the synthesis of hepcidin. Due to its crucial role in the regulation of body iron stores, hepcidin may act as a secondary risk factor in the progression of alcoholic liver disease. The clarification of the mechanisms by which alcohol disrupts iron homeostasis will allow for further understanding of the pathogenesis of alcoholic liver disease.

The lack of semantic descriptions for "web service properties" makes it difficult to find suitable web *** solutions are mostly based on broker/mediator agent ***,these techniques are syntactical,rather than semantics *** article presents a semantic matching approach for discovering Semantic Web services through a broker-based semantic agent(BSA).The BSA includes knowledge-bases and several processing *** BSA’s knowledge-bases are concept,task,and process ontologies built to describe both functional and non-functional parameters of *** BSA executes semantic-based matching algorithms to discover similar services through the semantic matching step,process equivalence task,and matching of quality of service *** services are ranked by client preferences utilizing the semantic descriptions of available *** matchmaker studies are reviewed and compared with the *** of the BSA algorithm is compared with SAM using published data and an experimental *** results indicate that our approach is better and more effective in some respects.

Evaluating different levels of information on the calibration of building energy simulation models

A poorly calibrated model undermines confidence in the effectiveness of building energy simulation, impeding the widespread application of advanced energy conservation measures (ECMs). Striking a balance between information-gathering efforts and achieving sufficient model credibility is crucial but often obscured by ambiguities. To address this gap, we model and calibrate a test bed with different levels of information (LOI). Beginning with an initial model based on building geometry (LOI 1), we progressively introduce additional information, including nameplate information (LOI 2), envelope conductivity (LOI 3), zone infiltration rate (LOI 4), AHU fan power (LOI 5), and HVAC data (LOI 6). The models are evaluated for accuracy, consistency, and the robustness of their predictions. Our results indicate that adding more information for calibration leads to improved data fit. However, this improvement is not uniform across all observed outputs due to identifiability issues. Furthermore, for energy-saving analysis, adding more information can significantly affect the projected energy savings by up to two times. nevertheless, for ECM ranking, models that did not meet ASHRAE 14 accuracy thresholds can yield correct retrofit decisions. These findings underscore equifinality in modeling complex building systems. Clearly, predictive accuracy is not synonymous with model credibility. Therefore, to balance efforts in information-gathering and model reliability, it is crucial to (1) determine the minimum level of information required for calibration compatible with its intended purpose and (2) calibrate models with information closely linked to all outputs of interest, particularly when simultaneous accuracy for multiple outputs is necessary.

In this work, the transport and removal of Cr(Ⅵ) were achieved through supported liquid membrane(SLM) by using a 5,17, di-tert-butyl-11,23-bis[(1,4-dioxa-8-azaspiro [4,5]decanyl)methyl]-25,26,27,28-tetrahydroxy calix[4]arene carrier, dissolved in 2-nitrophenyl octyl ether *** studied parameters are the solvent effect in the membrane phase, the effect of carrier concentration, and the acid type in the donor *** Celgard 2500 was used as a membrane *** used the Danesi mass transfer model to calculate the permeability coefficients for each studied *** addition, AFM and SEM techniques were used to characterize the surface morphology of the prepared Celgard 2500 membrane that included the calix[4]arene carrier.
