The provision of open space is seen as a feasible solution in mitigating the challenges of urbanization,which accomm odates the daily leisure activities of residents and contributes to sustainable developm *** study aims at understanding how users perceive open space in 29-3 Park in Da Nang,*** understanding may help to adopt a better approach to development and *** specifically,it focuses on identifying roles and attributes of the space and determ ining those elements which affect how users of the space gather,based on their ***,behaviour param eters were identified and classified based on activities that occurred in this space,and were collected using a behavioural mapping survey *** analysis of 20 in-depth interviews,and 287 question naires,show existing problems that need to be improved and detail 11 physical factors that have potential to impact on users'*** results may have the potential to play an im portant role in assisting designers and administrators to create successful open space in urban areas of Vietnam or other developing countries in the future.

This study aims to understand the attention behaviors of users along street space in a Vietnamese *** on CEMs(capture evaluation method survey)and data processing using CA(correspondence analysis)and clustering data collection using,the street spaces are categorized into three *** group has its own representative characteristics related to how people within the group pay *** findings show that people tend to frequently pay attention to eight fundamental elements out of the 88 elements recorded while participating in the street *** assessment identified the elements of impact in descending order from highest in following:Sidewalks>building>trading activities&shop>garbage>street>greenery>trash bin>*** difference of user’s attention behavior and their assessment in different street groups is also revealed in detail in this paper.

Typically,the hydroxide agents,such as sodium hydroxide and potassium hydroxide,which have corrosive properties,are used in the carbon activation *** this study,potassium oxalate(K_(2)C_(2)O_(4)),a less toxic and non-corrosive activating reagent,was used to synthesize activated carbon from the solid residue after autohydrolysis *** effect of the autohydrolysis treatment and the ratio of the K_(2)C_(2)O_(4)/solid residue are presented in this ***,the comparison between the activated carbon from bamboo and biochar from the solid residue are also *** resulting activated carbon from the solid residue exhibited a high surface area of up to 1432 m^(2)·g^(-1) and a total pore volume of up to 0.88 cm^(3)·g^(-1).The autohydrolysis treatment enhanced the microporosity properties compared to those without pretreatment of the activated *** microporosity of the activated carbon from the solid residue was dominated by the pore width at 0.7 nm,which is excellent for CO_(2) *** 25℃ and 1.013×10^(5) Pa,the CO_(2) captured reached up to 4.1 mmol·g^(-1).On the other hand,the ratio between K_(2)C_(2)O_(4) and the solid residue has not played a critical role in determining the porosity *** ratio of the K_(2)C_(2)O_(4)/solid residue of 2 could help the carbon material reach a highly microporous textural property that produces a high carbon capture *** finding proved the benefit of using the solid residue from the autohydrolysis treatment as a precursor material and offering a more friendly and sustainable activation carbon process.

With the advancement of artificial intelligence,traffic forecasting is gaining more and more interest in optimizing route planning and enhancing service *** volume is an influential parameter for planning and operating traffic *** study proposed an improved ensemble-based deep learning method to solve traffic volume prediction problems.A set of optimal hyperparameters is also applied for the suggested approach to improve the performance of the learning *** fusion of these methodologies aims to harness ensemble empirical mode decomposition’s capacity to discern complex traffic patterns and long short-term memory’s proficiency in learning temporal ***,a dataset for automatic vehicle identification is obtained and utilized in the preprocessing stage of the ensemble empirical mode decomposition *** second aspect involves predicting traffic volume using the long short-term memory ***,the study employs a trial-and-error approach to select a set of optimal hyperparameters,including the lookback window,the number of neurons in the hidden layers,and the gradient descent ***,the fusion of the obtained results leads to a final traffic volume *** experimental results show that the proposed method outperforms other benchmarks regarding various evaluation measures,including mean absolute error,root mean squared error,mean absolute percentage error,and *** achieved R-squared value reaches an impressive 98%,while the other evaluation indices surpass the *** findings highlight the accuracy of traffic pattern ***,this offers promising prospects for enhancing transportation management systems and urban infrastructure planning.

The paper introduces a novel approach for detecting structural damage in full-scale structures using surrogate models generated from incomplete modal data and deep neural networks(DNNs).A significant challenge in this field is the limited availability of measurement data for full-scale structures,which is addressed in this paper by generating data sets using a reduced finite element(FE)model constructed by SAP2000 software and the MATLAB programming *** surrogate models are trained using response data obtained from the monitored structure through a limited number of measurement *** proposed approach involves training a single surrogate model that can quickly predict the location and severity of damage for all potential *** achieve the most generalized surrogate model,the study explores different types of layers and hyperparameters of the training algorithm and employs state-of-the-art techniques to avoid overfitting and to accelerate the training *** approach’s effectiveness,efficiency,and applicability are demonstrated by two numerical *** study also verifies the robustness of the proposed approach on data sets with sparse and noisy measured ***,the proposed approach is a promising alternative to traditional approaches that rely on FE model updating and optimization algorithms,which can be computationally *** approach also shows potential for broader applications in structural damage detection.

The article introduces a finite element procedure using the bilinear quadrilateral element or four-node rectangular element(namely Q4 element) based on a refined first-order shear deformation theory(rFSDT) and Monte Carlo simulation(MCS), so-called refined stochastic finite element method to investigate the random vibration of functionally graded material(FGM) plates subjected to the moving *** advantage of the proposed method is to use r-FSDT to improve the accuracy of classical FSDT, satisfy the stress-free condition at the plate boundaries, and combine with MCS to analyze the vibration of the FGM plate when the parameter inputs are random quantities following a normal distribution. The obtained results show that the distribution characteristics of the vibration response of the FGM plate depend on the standard deviation of the input parameters and the velocity of the moving ***, the numerical results in this study are expected to contribute to improving the understanding of FGM plates subjected to moving loads with uncertain input parameters.

The response of tunnels subjected to seismic loading is a complex mechanism and depends not only on the seismic nature but also on tunnel structure and surrounding soil *** individual behavior of circular,rectangular,and sub-rectangular tunnels subjected to seismic loadings has already been studied in the *** the present research,two case scenarios of circular,rectangular tunnels and four sub-rectangular shaped tunnels,with similar cross-section areas,were adopted to perform a comprehensive numerical *** purpose of the study was to determine the mechanical behavior of tunnels of different shapes,depending upon seismic *** were performed by considering the influence of soil-lining interaction,soil parameters,and lining thickness,as well as lining *** were performed for no-slip and full-slip *** results indicate that the tunnel shape design is of great importance when regarding the mechanical behavior of the surrounding *** concerns no-slip as well as full-slip soil-lining interaction,especially when the lining is subjected to seismic ***,it is shown that changes in incremental bending moments for circular,rectangular and sub-rectangular tunnels that depend upon the soil-lining interaction conditions differ significantly.

This paper deals with the collision of sphere shape grenades with sand *** central issue of the article is the establishing of an empirical velocity equation of the grenade while impacting on sand that is used to solve motion equations of the mechanical mechanism inside the impact grenade *** paper focuses on impact velocities that are lower than 5 m s^(-1).An experiment was conducted to study the velocity of the grenade while impacting on dry sand.A high-speed camera video was used to capture the grenade *** grenade velocity in the impact process was generated from these video *** types of fitting curves are used to regress the velocity equation of the grenade while interacting with the sand media and the best-fitting model is *** result shows the regression curve has a high correlation with the experiment data for grenade velocities below 5 m s^(-1).The received regression equation is useful for analyzing the working ability of the inertial mechanism inside the impact grenade or analyzing and choosing the appropriate parameters of each part in the inertial mechanism to meet the required characteristics of the mechanism.
