Methods Used to Reduce Bullying in Kindergarten from Teachers’ Perspectives

This study identified the methods used by kindergarten teachers to reduce bullying among their students in and out of the classroom and examined differences based on the teachers’years of experience and the number of courses on bullying they had taken.A descriptive survey using a questionnaire tool collected responses from 208 public kindergarten teachers in Riyadh,Kingdom of saudi *** participants agreed with using such methods to reduce bullying among children as responding to parents’reports and following up on the reasons for a child’s *** also agreed that bullying in the classroom could be reduced by methods such as avoiding comparisons between children and helping to build friendships among ***,the teachers agreed to use some methods in which the teacher relies on her authority,such as depriving the bully of play time and transfer-ring him/her to another *** methods were endorsed more strongly by teachers with at least 10 years of experience than by those with less experience,but no significant difference was observed according to the number of bullying courses *** addition,there is a lack of courses that focus on dealing with and confronting bully-ing in educational *** study highlights the need to provide teachers with training on how to deal with bullying and to set specific and clear policies on addressing bullying in kindergarten.

Agmatine ameliorates diabetes type 2-induced nephropathy in rats

Objective:To assess the nephroprotective potential of agmatine in a rat model of streptozotocin-induced diabetic ***:A single dose of streptozotocin(40 mg/kg)coupled with a fructose diet induced diabetes in Wistar ***(40 and 80 mg/kg)was administered to rats for 12 *** body weight and fasting blood glucose were measured *** level,urine output,total protein,albumin,blood urea nitrogen,creatinine,and cystatin-C were also determined at the end of the ***,superoxide dismutase,glutathione,interleukin-1β,interleukin-6,and tumor necrosis factor-alpha were evaluated in kidney *** study was also performed using hematoxylin and eosin ***:Agmatine at both doses significantly increased final body weight,and lowered fasting blood glucose,urine output,insulin,total protein,albumin,blood urea nitrogen,creatinine,and cystatin-C levels compared with the diabetic group(Ps and antioxidant effect were significantly improved in agmatine-treated ***,the histopathological changes in renal structure were ameliorated by agmatine ***:Agmatine alleviates diabetic nephropathy by improving renal functions and reducing inflammation and oxidative *** molecular mechanisms of its nephroprotective actions need to be investigated in future study.

The nuclear structure for some target nuclei namely: 32s, 58Ni, 89Y, 90Zr, 100Mo and 197Au used for production of the therapeutic radionuclides;32P, 58Co, 89sr, 90Y, 99Mo, 100Tc, 197Pt and 197Hg has been investigated using skyrme-Hartree-Fock method based on skyrme effective two-body interaction. For these purpose, we have calculated the various nuclear densities, the corresponding root mean square radii and nuclear binding energies. The density dependent initial neutron and proton exciton numbers have been also calculated which give the ability to investigate the neutron and proton induced reaction cross-sections for these target nuclei using hybrid model for pre-equilibrium nuclear reactions. The calculated results are compared with available experimental data.

Neuroprotective effect of liraglutide and memantine in a rat model of Alzheimer’s disease

Objective:To assess the effect of memantine combined with liraglutide on aluminum chloride(AlCl_(3))and D-galactose(D-GAL)-induced neurotoxicity in ***:Male Wistar rats were divided into 5 groups of 5 animals each:the positive control,the negative control,the memantine-treated group,the liraglutide-treated group,and the combination group treated with memantine and ***_(3)and D-GAL were used to induce *** tests,brain beta-amyloid protein,and oxidative stress biomarkers were ***:The Morris water maze test indicated an enhanced memory in the combination ***,the combination treatment of liraglutide and memantine resulted in a remarkable reduction in the beta-amyloid protein level in the brain *** inflammation and oxidative stress biomarkers were significantly reduced,and the levels of antioxidant parameters were ***:The combination of liraglutide and memantine exerts neuroprotective effects and enhances memory and cognitive functions in rats with Alzheimer’s disease.
