Optimal rejection of bounded perturbations in linear leader-following consensus protocol: invariant ellipsoid method

The objective of the invariant ellipsoid method is to minimize the smallest invariant and attractive set of a linear control system operating under the influence of bounded external disturbances. This study extends the application of this method to address the leader-following consensus problem. Initially, a linear control protocol is designed for the multi-agent system in the absence of disturbances. Subsequently, in the presence of bounded disturbances, by employing a similar linear control protocol, a necessary and sufficient condition is introduced to derive the optimal control parameters for the multi-agent system such that the state of followers converges to and remains in a minimal invariant ellipsoid around the state of the leader.

The objective of this paper is to extend the relaxed conditions on the existence of the backstepping controllers and observers obtained in a recent literature to the case of parabolic Partial Differential Equations（PDEs） with the same ***, an observer-based output feedback controller is designed for the considered systems with the new conditions. Then,the corresponding exponential stability analysis is provided. Finally, the efficiency of the proposed method is shown by taking a simplified model of Chemical Tubular Reactor.

An application-oriented homogeneous control protocol is proposed to solve the consensus problem of multi-agent system(MAS)modeled by higher-order *** nonlinear control protocol is able to homogenize the linear system with a special degree called homogeneity *** homogeneous control protocol ensures asymptotically/finite-time stable multi-agent systems(MASs)(or fixed-time attractive to compact sets containing the origin)by selecting di®erent homogeneity *** the linear control protocol for each agent is provided,the proposed nonlinear homogeneous control protocol in this paper can be easily implemented without requiring any tuning of the control parameters.A bounded homogeneous control protocol,which is a special form of the controller proposed,is also introduced to address the same problem with input ***,numerical simulations are conducted to demonstrate the e®ectiveness of the proposed approach.

This paper deals with observer design for a generalized nonlinear observer normal forms. At first we propose a more extensive class of nonlinear dynamical systems with input than proposed in [16]. Next, by taking a series of changes of coordinates and by means of extended auxiliary variables, we transform the proposed nonlinear systems into nonlinear observer normal forms. The key point is that this method is not based on the Lie derivative. Finally, by giving two examples, we verify the validity and correctness of our theory.

A series of robust commensurate fractional differentiators are proposed for a class of fractional order linear systems in this paper. Such differentiators are based on the modulating functions method. First, fractional integration by parts formulas and modulating functions are used to eliminate the undesired terms and keep needed items. Second, a recursive algorithm is designed to calculate the required derivatives. In this way we can get a set of estimation results in one calculation, and it only requires less computational cost. Moreover, a detailed noise error analysis of the algorithm is performed to improve the estimation ***, the efficiency and robustness of the presented method is verified by numerical simulations.

In this paper,the aim is to non-asymptotically and robustly estimate the state for fractional-order descriptor linear systems in a noisy environment. First,the considered fractional-order descriptor systems are transformed into the fractionalorder Brunovsky's observable canonical forms. Second,the considered observable canonical forms are transformed by taking a fractional derivative operator. Third,based on the new forms,algebraic formulas are obtained for the state variables by applying the modulating functions method without knowing the initial condition of systems,despite the corrupting noises are presented in the output measurement. Finally,numerical simulations are given to illustrate the efficiency and robustness of the proposed estimator by comparing with the fractional-order Luenberger-like observer.
