Nonlinear free vibrations of porous composite microplates incorporating various microstructural-dependent strain gradient tensors

The main objective of the present numerical analysis is to predict the nonlinear frequency ratios associated with the nonlinear free vibration response of porous composite plates at microscale in the presence of different microstructural gradient *** achieve this end,by taking cubic-type elements into account,isogeometric models of porous composite microplates are obtained with and without a central cutout and relevant to various porosity patterns of distribution along the plate *** established unconventional models have the capability to capture the effects of various unconventional gradient tensors continuity on the basis of a refined shear deformable plate *** the simply supported microsized uniform porous functionally graded material(uPFGM)plate having the oscillation amplitude equal to the plate thickness,it is revealed that the rotation gradient tensor causes to reduce the frequency ratio about 0.73%,the dilatation gradient tensor causes to reduce it about 1.93%,and the deviatoric stretch gradient tensor leads to a decrease of it about 5.19%.On the other hand,for the clamped microsized u-PFGM plate having the oscillation amplitude equal to the plate thickness,these percentages are equal to 0.62%,1.64%,and 4.40%,***,it is found that by changing the boundary conditions from clamped to simply supported,the effect of microsize on the reduction of frequency ratio decreases a bit.

The joint European space Agency and Chinese Academy of sciences solar wind Magnetosphere Ionosphere Link Explorer(sMILE)mission will explore global dynamics of the magnetosphere under varying solar wind and interplanetary magnetic field conditions,and simultaneously monitor the auroral response of the Northern Hemisphere *** these large-scale responses with medium and fine-scale measurements at a variety of cadences by additional ground-based and space-based instruments will enable a much greater scientific impact beyond the original goals of the sMILE ***,we describe current community efforts to prepare for sMILE,and the benefits and context various experiments that have explicitly expressed support for sMILE can offer.A dedicated group of international scientists representing many different experiment types and geographical locations,the Ground-based and Additional science Working Group,is facilitating these *** include constructing an online sMILE Data Fusion Facility,the discussion of particular or special modes for experiments such as coherent and incoherent scatter radar,and the consideration of particular observing strategies and spacecraft *** anticipate growing interest and community engagement with the sMILE mission,and we welcome novel ideas and insights from the solar-terrestrial community.

software testing plays a pivotal role in entire software development *** provides researchers with extensive opportunities to develop novel methods for the optimized and cost-effective test suite Although implementation of such a cost-effective test suite with regression testing is being under exploration still it contains lot of challenges and flaws while incorporating with any of the new regression testing algorithm due to irrelevant test cases in the test suite which are not *** kinds of irrelevant test cases might create certain challenges such as code-coverage in the test suite,fault-tolerance,defects due to uncovered-statements and overall-performance at the time of *** this objective,the proposed a new Modified Particle swarm optimization used for multi-objective test suite *** experiment results involving six subject programs show that MOMPsO method can outer perform with respect to both reduction rate(90.78%to 100%)and failure detection rate(44.56%to 55.01%).Results proved MOMPsO outperformed the other stated algorithms.

Monitoring and characterization of particle contamination in the pulse compression chamber of the OMEGA EP laser system

The laser-damage performance of optics is known to be negatively affected by microscale particle contamination induced by the operational *** work investigates the properties of particles accumulating in various locations near critical optics inside the OMEGA EP grating compressor chamber during quarterly operational periods over a 2-year *** particles found were characterized using optical microscopy,scanning electron microscopy and energy dispersive X-ray *** analysis indicates significant concentrations of micrometer-to nanometerscale particles inside the vacuum chamber,with higher values observed near the port leading to the OMEGA EP target *** distribution of the chemical composition of these particles varies between collection *** understanding of the mechanisms of particle generation and transport remains uncertain,the hypothesis is that this particle load represents a risk for contaminating the surfaces of high-value optics located inside the chamber,including the compression gratings and deformable mirrors,and therefore affecting their laser-damage resistance and overall operational lifetime.

The developments of multi-core systems(MCs)have considerably improved the existing technologies in thefield of computer *** MCs comprises several processors that are heterogeneous for resource capacities,working environments,topologies,and so *** existing multi-core technology unlocks additional research opportunities for energy minimization by the use of effective task *** the same time,the task scheduling process is yet to be explored in the multi-core *** paper presents a new hybrid genetic algorithm(GA)with a krill herd(KH)based energy-efficient scheduling techni-que for multi-core systems(GAKH-sMCs).The goal of the GAKH-sMCs tech-nique is to derive scheduling tasks in such a way to achieve faster completion time and minimum energy *** GAKH-sMCs model involves a multi-objectivefitness function using four parameters such as makespan,processor utilization,speedup,and energy consumption to schedule tasks *** performance of the GAKH-sMCs model has been validated against two datasets namely random dataset and benchmark *** experimental outcome ensured the effectiveness of the GAKH-sMCs model interms of makespan,pro-cessor utilization,speedup,and energy *** overall simulation results depicted that the presented GAKH-sMCs model achieves energy effi-ciency by optimal task scheduling process in MCs.

Directional solidification and physical properties measurements of the zinc-aluminum eutectic alloy

Zn-5wt% Al eutectic alloy was directionally solidified with different growth rates （5.32-250.0μm/s） at a constant temperature gradient of 8.50 K/mm using a bridgman-type growth *** values of eutectic spacing were measured from transverse sections of the *** dependences of the eutectic spacing and undercooling on growth rate are determined as λ=9.21V-0.53 and ΔT=0.0245V0.53,*** results obtained in this work were compared with the jackson-Hunt eutectic theory and the similar experimental results in the *** of directionally solidified samples was also measured by using a microhardness test *** dependency of the microhardness on growth rate is found as Hv=***,the electrical resistivity （r） of the casting alloy changes from 40×10-9 to 108×10-9 Ω·m with the temperature rising in the range of 300-630 *** enthalpy of fusion （ΔH） and specific heat （Cp） for the Zn-Al eutectic alloy are calculated to be 113.37 J/g and 0.309 J/（g·K）,respectively by means of differential scanning calorimetry （DsC） from heating trace during the transformation from liquid to solid.

The full array of the Large High Altitude Air shower Observatory(LHAAsO)has been in operation since July *** its kilometer-square array(KM2A),we optimized the selection criteria for very high and ultrahigh energyγ-rays using data collected from August 2021 to August 2022,resulting in an improvement in significance of the detection in the Crab Nebula of approximately 15%,compared with that of previous *** the implementation of these new selection criteria,the angular resolution was also significantly improved by approximately 10%at tens of *** aspects of the full KM2A array performance,such as the pointing error,were also calibrated using the Crab *** resulting energy spectrum of the Crab Nebula in the energy range of 10-1000 TeV are well fitted by a log-parabola model,which is consistent with the previous results from LHAAsO and other experiments.

Correction of failure in antenna array using matrix pencil technique

In this paper a non-iterative technique is developed for the correction of faulty antenna array based on matrix pencil technique（MPT）. The failure of a sensor in antenna array can damage the radiation power pattern in terms of sidelobes level and nulls. In the developed technique, the radiation pattern of the array is sampled to form discrete power pattern information set. Then this information set can be arranged in the form of Hankel matrix（HM） and execute the singular value decomposition（sVD）. by removing nonprincipal values, we obtain an optimum lower rank estimation of HM. This lower rank matrix corresponds to the corrected pattern. Then the proposed technique is employed to recover the weight excitation and position allocations from the estimated matrix. Numerical simulations confirm the efficiency of the proposed technique, which is compared with the available techniques in terms of sidelobes level and nulls.

Machine learning of superconducting critical temperature from Eliashberg theory

The Eliashberg theory of superconductivity accounts for the fundamental physics of conventional superconductors,including the retardation of the interaction and the Coulomb pseudopotential,to predict the critical temperature T_(c).McMillan,Allen,and Dynes derived approximate closed-form expressions for the critical temperature within this theory,which depends on the electron–phonon spectral functionα^(2)F(ω).Here we show that modern machine-learning techniques can substantially improve these formulae,accounting for more general shapes of theα^(2)F *** symbolic regression and the sIssO framework,together with a database of artificially generatedα^(2)F functions and numerical solutions of the Eliashberg equations,we derive a formula for T_(c)that performs as well as Allen–Dynes for low-T_(c)superconductors and substantially better for higher-T_(c)*** corrects the systematic underestimation of Tc while reproducing the physical constraints originally outlined by Allen and *** equation should replace the Allen–Dynes formula for the prediction of higher-temperature superconductors.
