AIM： To evaluate how proximal colon polyps interpreted as hyperplastic polyps in 2001 would be interpreted by expert pathologists in 2007.METHODS： ≥ 5 mm in interpreted pathologists 2007 by 3 GI Forty consecutive proximal colon polyps size, removed in 2001, and originally as hyperplastic polyps by general at Indiana University, were reviewed in pathologists.CONCLUSION： Many polyps interpreted as hyperplastic in 2001 were considered sessile serrated lesions by GI pathologists in 2007, but there is substantial inter-observer variation amongst GI pathologists.

Effectiveness of a fixed-depth sensor deployed from a buoy to estimate water-column cyanobacterial biomass depends on wind speed

Water quality sondes have the advantage of containing multiple sensors,extended deployment times,high temporal resolution,and telecommunication with stakeholder accessible data ***,sondes that are part of buoy deployments often suffer from typically being fixed at one *** water treatment plants are interested in water quality at a depth of the water intake and other stakeholders(*** and swimmers)are interested in the surface,we examined whether a fixed depth of approximately 1 m could cause over-or under-estimation of cyanobacterial *** sampled the vertical distribution of cyanobacteria adj.cent to a water quality sonde buoy in the western basin of Lake Erie during the summers of 2015–2017.A comparison of buoy cyanobacteria RFU(Relative Fluorescence Unit)at 1 m to cyanobacteria chlorophyll a(chla)measured throughout the water column showed occurrences when the buoy both under and overestimated the cyanobacteria chl a at specific *** differences between buoy measurements and at-depth grab samples occurred during low wind speeds(4.5 m/sec)resulted in better agreement between the buoy and at-depth *** wind speeds 12 hr before sample collection decreased the difference between the buoy and at-depth samples for high wind speeds but not low *** suggest that sondes should be placed at a depth of interest for the appropriate stakeholder group or deploy sondes with the ability to sample at various depths.

Powerlifting regularly exposes athletes to extreme stimuli such as chronic heavy resistance training(HRT),and many powerlifters choose to augment their performance with anabolic-androgenic steroids(AAS).However,little is known about the myocellular adaptations that occur from long-term HRT and AAS use,especially into middle *** were presented with the unique opportunity to study muscle cells from an elite-level powerlifter(EPL;age 40 years)with≥30 years of HRT experience and≥15 years of AAS *** purpose of this case study was to identify myocellular characteristics[myosin heavy chain(MHC)fiber type,fiber size,and myonuclear content]in EPL,as well as compare these data to existing *** participant underwent a resting vastus lateralis muscle biopsy and single fibers were analyzed for MHC content via SDS-PAGE.A subset of fibers underwent MHC-specific imaging analysis via confocal microscopy to identify cell size(cross-sectional area,CSA)and myonuclear domain(MND)*** fiber type distribution was 9% I,12% I/IIa,79% IIa,and 0% other *** pure MHC IIa(fast-twitch)fiber content was amongst the highest reported in the *** analysis of MHC IIa fibers revealed a mean CSA of 4218±933μm^(2) and MND of 12,548±3181μm^(3).While the fast-twitch fiber CSA was comparable to values in previous literature,mean MND was smaller than has been reported in untrained men,implying greater capacity for growth and *** findings showcase the unique muscle cell structure of an elite powerlifter,extending the known physiological limits of human muscle size and strength.

Measuring the Effectiveness of the Chinese Innovation System:A Global Value Chain Approach

This paper study argues that some disruptive new trends are surfacing with the emergence of new technologies,which makes an efficient and effective R&D and innovation system even more relevant for any country to compete at a global *** this backdrop,the study tries to measure the effectiveness of the Chinese innovation system,using the“R&D spending as percentage of GDP”as the input variable and the“contribution of R&D and related business activities to the value‐added manufacturing exports”as the output *** on a 59‐country sample in the OECD‐WTO TiVA database,the regression results show a significant and positive correlation between the two *** findings also complement with other existing empirical and qualitative studies in this *** overall findings show that China has achieved significant efficiency and effectiveness in its innovation system compared with many other countries;in fact,since 2009,the efficiency has ***,it still lags behind the maj.r global *** means China still has some room to improve in order to transform its increasing inputs in R&D and technology innovation into commensurate *** situation calls for further improvements in its innovation ecosystem.

Ionic liquid/tetraglyme hybrid Mg[TFSI]_2 electrolytes for rechargeable Mg batteries

The electrochemical reversibility of Mg in hybrid electrolytes based on mixtures of ionic liquid and glyme based organic solvents was investigated for applications in rechargeable magnesium batteries(RMBs). The electrolytes demonstrate reversible reduction and oxidation of Mg only after being pre-treated with the dehydrating agent, magnesium borohydride, Mg[BH_4]_2, highlighting the importance of removing water in Mg based electrolytes. The addition magnesium di[bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide](Mg[TFSI]_2)(0.3 M) to N-butyl-n-methyl-pyrrolidinium bis(trifluoromethanesulfonyl)imide [C4 mpyr][TFSI]/tetraglyme at a mole ratio of 1:2 showed stable CV cycling over almost 300 cycles while scanning electron microscopy(SEM) and X-ray diffraction(XRD) confirmed Mg deposition, showing non-dendritic morphology and a well-aligned growth. Further thermogravimetric analysis(TGA) demonstrated a mass retention of 79% at 250℃ for this electrolyte suggesting that the presence of the ionic liquid increases thermal stability substantially making these hybrid electrolytes compatible for RMBs.
