Haloacetamides.HAMs. are cytotoxic, genotoxic, and mutagenic byproducts.of drinking water dis.nfection. They are s.ft electrophilic compounds.that form covalent bonds.with the free thiol/thiolate in cys.eine res.dues.through an s.N2 reaction *** of the monohalogenated HAMs.iodoacetamide, IAM; bromoacetamide, BAM;or chloroacetamide, CAM） varied depending on the halogen s.bs.ituent. The aim of this.res.arch was.to inves.igate how the halogen atom affects.the reactivity and toxicological properties.of HAMs. meas.red as.induction of oxidative/electrophilic s.res. res.ons. and genotoxicity. Additionally, we wanted to determine how well in s.lico es.imates.of electrophilic s.ftnes. matched thiol/thiolate reactivity and in vitro toxicological *** of the HAMs.s.gnificantly induced nuclear Rad51 accumulation and ARE s.gnaling activity compared to a negative control. The rank order of effect was.IAM 〉 BAM 〉 CAM for Rad51, and BAM ≈ IAM 〉 CAM for ARE. In general, electrophilic s.ftnes. and in chemico thiol/thiolate reactivity provided a qualitative indicator of toxicity, as.the s.fter electrophiles.IAM and BAM were more thiol/thiolate reactive and were more toxic than CAM.

This.s.udy aims.to apply a methodology to analyze the regulatory obs.acles.for the development of thermal power plants.in a country. It als. dis.us.es.other policies.and actions.by the government that may contribute to the growth of natural gas.fired power plants. Us.ng deductive and comparative res.arch methods. the firs. part of this.method focus.s.on the s.age of thermoelectric power generation in Brazil. The s.bs.quent s.ctions.pres.nt the role of the integration of gas.and electricity s.ctors. the main obs.acles.to the expans.on of natural-gas.power generation, how the country has.deal with the expans.on of natural-gas.power generation, as.well as.how other obs.acles.has.been faced. In rais.ng the res.arch ques.ion, when comparing the res.arch res.lts.of s.lected countries. it s.ould be noticed the impact that the experience and les.ons.els.where have had on policies.formulation on Brazil. Our conclus.ons.pointed out that adequate policies.for the natural gas.electricity Brazilian market integration make advis.ble the unification of electricity and natural gas.agencies.
