＜正＞Conjugated molecules are key motifs in the fields of organic electronics and optoelectronics. Introduction of metal ions to conjugated molecules plays an important role in expanding the diversity of supramolecular *** example,the properties of metal ions such as magnetism,redox,and photochemical functions could be transcribed into the non-covalent *** we report a general strategy for the design of non-covalent photofunctional and semiconducting low-dimensional arrays based onπ-conjugated metallo-disks.1,2 We developed a divergent method for the synthesis of conjugated metallo-disks with multiple metal units amounted to the focal aromatic cores throughπ-*** approach is general and allows for the utilization of various conjugated molecules as the focal core and enables a precise confinement of metal ions on the resulted *** demonstrated that the metallosalphen-based dinuclear and trinuclear conjugates allow high throughput solution-processed assemblies to form non-covalentπ-electronic tapes and *** low-dimensional assemblies are semiconducting with large carrier mobility,show significant spatial anisotropy in conduction pathways,are photoconductive to generate photocurrent with a quick response to light irradiation,and are capable of repetitive switching large on-off *** unique functions clearly originate from the highly order structure of the multinuclear metallo-disks.
