Ligands play a key role in controlling activity of organometallic complexes so that development of new ligands to overcome the challenge is the main topic of modern *** first example of 1,1-hydride migratory insertion and intramolecular redox reaction has been realized in this work by applying a new ligand in rare-earth metal *** novel rare-earth metal complexes L^(Mes)RECH2TMS(THF)(RE=Y(1a),Dy(1b),Er(1c),Yb(1d),L^(Mes)=1-(3-(2,6-iPr_(2)C_(6)H_(3)N=CH)C8H4N)-CH_(2)CH_(2)-3-(2-CH2–4,6-Me_(2)C_(6)H_(2))-(N(CH)_(2)NC),THF=tetrahydrofuran)bearing a ligand with imino,indolyl,NHC(N-heterocyclic carbene)multiple functionalities were synthesized and *** of complexes 1 with silanes(PhSiH3or PhSiH2Me or PhSiD3)selectively produced the unprecedented 1,1-hydride(or deuterated H)migratory insertion of the indolyl moiety of the novel unsymmetrical dinuclear rare-earth metal complexes *** complex 2a reacts with Ph_(2)C=O to give the selective C=O double bond insertion to the RE–Co-methylene-Mesbond product 3a which further reacts with another Ph_(2)C=O(or DMAP,4-N,N-dimethylaminopyridine)affording the novelμ-η^(2):η^(3)-dianionic 3-iminoindolyl dinuclear rare-earth metal complex *** latter is formed through an unusual intramolecular redox reaction(through electron migration from the 2-carbanion of the indolyl ring to the imino motif)resulting in the re-aromatization of the indolyl ring.

Thermal History of Cambrian Burgess Shale-Type Deposits:New Insights from the Early Cambrian Chengjiang and Qingjiang Fossils of South China

Burgess Shale-type deposits provide a wealth of information on the early evolution of *** that are central to understanding the exceptional preservation of these biotas and the paleoenvironments they inhabited may be obscured by the post-depositional alteration due to metamorphism at depth and weathering near the Earth’s *** over 50 Cambrian BST biotas,the Chengjiang and Qingjiang deposits are well known for their richness of soft-bodied taxa,fidelity of preservation,and Early Cambrian *** alteration via weathering has been well-investigated,the thermal maturity of the units bearing the two biotas has not yet been *** we investigate peak metamorphic temperatures of the two deposits using two independent *** gradient analyses demonstrate that the most fossiliferous sections of the Chengjiang were buried at a maximum depth of∼8500 m in the Early Triassic,corresponding to∼300°C,while the type area of the Qingjiang biota was buried at a maximum depth of∼8700 m in the Early Jurassic,corresponding to∼240°*** geothermometer analyses of fossil carbonaceous material demonstrate that peak temperatures varied across localities with different burial *** two productive sections of the Chengjiang biota were thermally altered at a peak temperature of approximately 300°C,and the main locality of the Qingjiang biota experienced a peak temperature of 238±22°*** results from two independent methods are *** BST deposits for which thermal maturity has been documented,the Qingjiang biota is the least thermally mature,and therefore holds promise for enriching our understanding of BST deposits.

The endogenous antioxidant ability of royal jelly in Drosophila is independent of Keap1/Nrf2 by activating oxidoreductase activity

Royal jelly(RJ)is a biologically active substance secreted by the hypopharyngeal and mandibular glands of worker *** is widely claimed that RJ reduces oxidative ***,the antioxidant activity of RJ has mostly been determined by in vitro chemical detection methods or by external administration drugs that cause oxidative *** RJ can clear the endogenous production of reactive oxygen species(ROS)in cells remains largely ***,we systematically investigated the antioxidant properties of RJ using several endogenous oxidative stress models of *** found that RJ enhanced sleep quality of aging Drosophila,which is decreased due to an increase of oxidative damage with *** supplementation improved survival and suppressed ROS levels in gut cells of flies upon exposure to hydrogen peroxide or to the neurotoxic agent ***,RJ supplementation moderated levels of ROS in endogenous gut cells and extended lifespan after exposure of flies to heat *** deprivation leads to accumulation of ROS in the gut cells,and RJ attenuated the consequences of oxidative stress caused by sleep loss and prolonged ***,RJ prevented cell oxidative damage caused by heat stress or sleep deprivation,with the antioxidant activity in vivo independent of Keap1/Nrf2 *** supplementation activated oxidoreductase activity in the guts of flies,suggesting its ability to inhibit endogenous oxidative stress and maintain health,possibly in humans.

Certain amino acids changes in the human Na^(+)/K^(+)-ATPase pump,ATPase Na^(+)/K^(+)transporting subunit alpha 1(ATP1A1),cause Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease type 2(CMT2)disease and refractory *** develop in vivo models to study the role of Na^(+)/K^(+)-ATPase in these diseases,we modified the Drosophila gene homolog,Atpα,to mimic the human ATP1A1 gene mutations that cause *** located within the helical linker region of human ATP1A1(I592T,A597T,P600T,and D601F)were simultaneously introduced into endogenous Drosophila Atpαby CRISPR/Cas9-mediated genome editing,generating the Atpα^(TTTF)*** addition,the same strategy was used to generate the corresponding single point mutations in flies(Atpα^(I571T),Atpα^(A576T),Atpα^(P579T),and Atpα^(D580F)).Moreover,a deletion mutation(Atpα^(mut))that causes premature termination of translation was generated as a positive *** these alleles,we found two that could be maintained as homozygotes(Atpα^(I571T)and Atpα^(P579T)).Three alleles(Atpα^(A576T),Atpα^(P579)and Atpα^(D580F))can form heterozygotes with the Atpαmut *** found that the Atpαallele carrying these CMT2-associated mutations showed differential phenotypes in *** heterozygous for Atpα^(TTTF)mutations have motor performance defects,a reduced lifespan,seizures,and an abnormal neuronal *** Drosophila models will provide a new platform for studying the function and regulation of the sodium-potassium pump.

Rapid growth in a large Cambrian apex predator

Despite the importance of ontogenetic data on early diverging euarthropods to our understanding of the ecology and evolution of past life, the data are distinctly lacking, as reconstructing life histories of fossil animals is often challenging. Here we report the growth trajectory of frontal appendages of the apex predator Amplectobelua symbrachiata, one of the most common radiodont arthropods from the early Cambrian Chengjiang biota(c. 520 Ma) of China. Analysis of 432 specimens(9.1–137.1 mm length; 1.3–25.6 mm height) reveals that appendages grew isometrically, with an estimated maximum size of the whole animal of c. 90 cm. Individuals grew rapidly compared to extant arthropods, as assessed using the electronic length-frequency analysis(ELEFAN) approach. Therefore, we show that the Cambrian apex predator A. symbrachiata was an extremely fast-growing arthropod, with an unusual life history strategy that formed as part of the escalatory ‘arms race’ that shaped the Cambrian explosion over 500 Ma.

为了更科学地预测装备寿命,提升装备的作战效益,从装备对体系的“综合贡献率”视角出发,探究了舰船装备“体系寿命”的评估方法。首先,基于作战环理论和非线性结构方程模型,引入二次交互项,构建舰船装备体系作战能力的指标体系,建立了体系作战效能的评估模型;然后,运用阈值法建立了舰船装备体系的复杂网络模型,基于拓扑特征统计值,构建了舰船装备体系网络结构特征的指标体系,将层次分析法与熵权法相结合来计算指标权重;最后,提出了舰船装备体系综合贡献率、体系寿命的定义和数学模型,并以航母编队体系对抗为算例,通过实验仿真数据,验证了模型和方法的可行性和有效性。

以2000—2021年全国287个地级及以上城市为对象,基于生态足迹理论,运用TAPIO脱钩理论和对数平均迪氏指数法(LMDI)构建TAPIO-LMDI模型研究了水资源利用与经济高质量发展的脱钩关系。结果表明:我国不同地区间水足迹存在较大差异,但全国总用水足迹趋于稳定,且水资源生态盈亏在研究期内有所改善;整体上我国经济高质量发展指数逐渐提升,与水资源利用呈脱钩状况;脱钩驱动因素分解结果显示,促进脱钩的主要因素包括技术和结构因素,而抑制脱钩的因素主要为城镇化率和人口数量。提出要制定因地制宜的水资源管理政策、提高水资源利用效率、加强节水宣传与教育等优化建议。
