Cobalt-based oxygen electrocatalysts for zinc-air batteries:Recent progress,challenges,and perspectives

With the rapid economic growth and the deepening awareness of sustainable development,the demand for green and efficient energy storage equipment increases.As a promising energy storage and conversion device,zinc-air batteries(ZABs)have the advantages of high theoretical specific energy density,low cost,and environmental friendliness.Nevertheless,the efficiency of ZABs is closely related to the electrocatalytic capacity of the air electrode due to its sluggish kinetics for oxygen reduction and evolution reaction(ORR/OER).Therefore,it is necessary to develop efficient catalysts to promote the reaction rate.Recently,cobalt-based materials have become a research hotspot for oxygen electrocatalysts owing to their rich natural content,high catalytic activity,and stability.In this review,the mechanisms of the OER/ORR reaction process,the catalyst's performance characterization,and the various combination methods with the current collector are systematically introduced and analyzed.Further,a broad overview of cobalt-based materials used as electrocatalysts for ZABs is presented,including cobalt-based perovskite,cobalt-nitrogen-carbon(Co-N-C)materials,cobalt oxides,cobalt-containing composite oxides,and cobalt sulfides/phosphides.Finally,various strategies for developing efficient electrocatalysts for ZABs are summarized,highlighting the challenges and future perspectives in designing novel catalysts.

TGR5 deficiency activates antitumor immunity in non-small cell lung cancer via restraining M2 macrophage polarization

The bile acid-responsive G-protein-coupled receptor TGR5 is expressed in monocytes and macrophages,and plays a critical role in regulating inflammatory response.Our previous work has shown its role in promoting the progression of non-small cell lung cancer(NSCLC),yet the mechanism remains unclear.Here,using Tgr5-knockout mice,we show that TGR5 is required for M2 polarization of tumorassociated macrophages(TAMs)and suppresses antitumor immunity in NSCLC via involving TAMsmediated CD8+T cell suppression.Mechanistically,we demonstrate that TGR5 promotes TAMs into protumorigenic M2-like phenotypes via activating c AMP-STAT3/STAT6 signaling.Induction of c AMP production restores M2-like phenotypes in TGR5-deficient macrophages.In NSCLC tissues from human patients,the expression of TGR5 is associated with the infiltration of TAMs.The co-expression of TGR5 and high TAMs infiltration are associated with the prognosis and overall survival of NSCLC patients.Together,this study provides molecular mechanisms for the protumor function of TGR5 in NSCLC,highlighting its potential as a target for TAMs-centric immunotherapy in NSCLC.

A New Criterion for Defining Inhomogeneous Slope Failure Using the Strength Reduction Method

A new variational method treating the system as a whole with rigorous mathematical and physical derivation was presented in this paper.Combined with classical and engineering examples,variational energy expressions of slopes were derived.In addition,the calculation programs were written in the FISH language set in FLAC3D(fast Lagrangian analysis of continua in three dimensions)software.Factors of safety(FOSs)of the models were determined by the variational method based on the strength reduction method(SRM)and then compared with other criteria or methods.The result showed that the variational method reflected the process of slope plasticity and failure uniformly and was feasible to analyze the stability of inhomogeneous slopes.The method was applicable to both two-dimensional and three-dimensional heterogeneous slopes.The small error with other criteria or methods also showed the accuracy of this method.This method unified other criteria,avoided the artificial error of other criteria,and provided a logical derivation for the instability of heterogeneous slope.This method considered the system as a whole and avoided the shortcomings of the general method of one-sided instability analysis.The proposed method is of great significance as it considers the coupling effect of stress and strain of materials and gives the mechanical basis for the instability of complex slopes.

Regulating electronic structure of CoN_(4)with axial Co-S for promoting oxygen reduction and Zn-air battery performance

Regulating the coordination environment of transition-metal based materials in the axial direction with heteroatoms has shown great potential in boosting the oxygen reduction reaction(ORR).The coordination configuration and the regulation method are pivotal and elusive.Here,we report a combined strategy of matrix-activization and controlled-induction to modify the CoN_(4)site by axial coordination of Co-S(Co1N_(4)-S_(1)),which was validated by the aberration-corrected electron microscopy and X-ray absorption fine structure analysis.The optimal Co1N_(4)-S_(1)exhibits an excellent alkaline ORR activity,according to the half-wave potential(0.897 V vs.reversible hydrogen electrode(RHE)),Tafel slope(24.67 mV/dec),and kinetic current density.Moreover,the Co1N_(4)-S_(1)based Zn-air battery displays a high power density of 187.55 mW/cm^(2)and an outstanding charge-discharge cycling stability for 160 h,demonstrating the promising application potential.Theoretical calculations indicate that the better regulation of CoN_(4)on electronic structure and thus the highly efficient ORR performance can be achieved by axial Co-S.

A Survey of English Translation Studies of Lu You’s Poetry Based on the Data Analysis of Domestic Academic Journals (2001-2022)

This article presents a comprehensive analysis of the current state of research on the English translation of Lu You’s poetry, utilizing a data sample comprising research papers published in the CNKI Full-text Database from 2001 to 2022. Employing rigorous longitudinal statistical methods, the study examines the progress achieved over the past two decades. Notably, domestic researchers have displayed considerable interest in the study of Lu You’s English translation works since 2001. The research on the English translation of Lu You’s poetry reveals a diverse range of perspectives, indicating a rich body of scholarship. However, several challenges persist, including insufficient research, limited translation coverage, and a noticeable focus on specific poems such as “Phoenix Hairpin” in the realm of English translation research. Consequently, there is ample room for improvement in the quality of research output on the English translation of Lu You’s poems, as well as its recognition within the academic community. Building on these findings, it is argued that future investigations pertaining to the English translation of Lu You’s poetry should transcend the boundaries of textual analysis and encompass broader theoretical perspectives and research methodologies. By undertaking this shift, scholars will develop a more profound comprehension of Lu You’s poetic works and make substantive contributions to the field of translation studies. Thus, this article aims to bridge the gap between past research endeavors and future possibilities, serving as a guide and inspiration for scholars to embark on a more nuanced and enriching exploration of Lu You’s poetry as well as other Chinese literature classics.

Key technologies for polymer electrolyte membrane fuel cell systems fueled impure hydrogen

Hydrogen energy and polymer electrolyte membrane(PEM) fuel cells become concerned issues in recent years.Nevertheless, the construction of hydrogen refueling infrastructure and hydrogen storage and transportation constrains the commercial development of fuel cells. In this review, sources, production, storage, transportation,and purification methods of hydrogen are extensively reviewed and compared. The advantages of utilizing industrial by-product hydrogen and steam reforming gas in PEM fuel cell systems are analyzed. Using industrial wasted hydrogen can significantly reduce the cost of hydrogen. Also, it is indicated that the onboard hydrogen generation by steam methanol reforming can solve the difficulties of efficient storage and transportation of gaseous hydrogen, which means that methanol has great potential to be a convenient carrier of hydrogen. The effects of impurities contained in the reformate gas are generally introduced. After the methanol steam reforming and pretreatment purification processes, the reformate gas can be fed to PEM fuel cells. Thus, a fuel cell system integrated with onboard hydrogen production and impure hydrogen treatment subsystems is introduced,and key technologies therein for pretreatment purification and in-situ poisoning mitigation methods are reviewed. Finally, suggestions are proposed for further studies.

为提高PDC钻头切削齿在硬地层中的吃入深度、消除扭转振动带来的危害,在自激换向式扭冲总成结构的基础上,增设水力脉冲式轴冲总成,利用扭冲总成拨叉带动轴冲总成动盘阀同步旋转,使过流面积发生周期性变化,产生水力脉冲轴冲载荷,与扭冲载荷一起形成轴扭耦合冲击,设计出一种结构简单、冲击频率相同的新型轴扭耦合冲击器。同时,基于能量转换与守恒定律,建立了冲击器性能参数数学模型,并开展了轴扭耦合冲击器性能参数室内试验。试验结果表明,该轴扭耦合冲击器的压降、轴冲载荷与流量平方呈正比,扭冲载荷、冲击频率与流量呈线性增大关系,最大相对误差仅7.91%,验证了该数学模型的准确性。研究结果可为同类冲击钻井工具的开发提供理论指导。
