Mechanical Behavior and Failure Mechanism of an As-Extruded Mg-11wt%Y Alloy at Elevated Temperature

Through carrying out the high-temperature tensile experiments on an as-extruded Mg-11wt%Y alloy at 350℃,400℃,450℃,500℃and 550℃,the mechanical behavior and fracture mechanisms at elevated temperatures are investigated and *** results show that with the increase of temperature,the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength of the alloy increase at first and then decrease,while that the elongation ratio decreases firstly and then *** the sample being tested at 350℃,the values of yield strength,ultimate tensile strength and the elongation ratio are 188 MPa,266 MPa and 11%,*** 400℃,the yield strength and ultimate tensile strength reach the maximum values of,respectively,198 MPa and 277 MPa,but the elongation ratio is the lowest and its value is only 8%.When the applied temperature is increased to 550℃,the values of yield strength and ultimate tensile strength,respectively,decrease to 140 MPa and 192 MPa and the elongation ratio increases to 38%.Failure analysis demonstrates that the fracture surfaces of different samples are mainly composed of plastic dimples and exhibit the typical characteristic of ductile *** observation to the fracture side surfaces indicates that at the temperatures of 350℃and 400℃,microcracks mainly initiate in the interior of Mg_(24)Y_(5)*** the temperatures are 450℃,500℃and 550℃,the cracks preferentially initiate at the Mg_(24)Y_(5)/α-Mg interfaces.

Prophylactic effects of sialylated glycopeptides from edible bird’s nest on neuroinflammation in lipopolysaccharide-treated mice via the gut-brain axis

Edible bird’s nest (EBN)， abundant in sialic acid (SA) has been recognized as a natural substance beneficial to brain development and cognitive ability. In order to investigate active component of EBN， sialylated glycopeptides (SCP) were extracted from EBN by 60% ethanol after trypsin hydrolysis and its effects on central nervous system was evaluated in lipopolysaccharide (LPS)-induced neuroinflammation mice. EBN， SCP， and SA pretreatment and intervention reduced IL-1β， TNF-α， and IL-6 levels in hippocampus and cortex， meanwhile inhibited the activation of microglia， astrogliosis and neuron apoptosis， which were consistent with the learning and memory improvement and anti-depression effects in behavioral tests. The counts of leukocytes， neutrophils and monocytes， as well as IL-1β， TNF-α， and IL-6 levels in peripheral circulation were significantly reduced by SCP. Results of plasma metabolomics suggested SCP up-regulated energy metabolism， promoted the recovery of primary and secondary bile acid metabolism and indole metabolism， where microbiota may involve. 16S rDNA sequencing of colonic contents showed EBN， SCP and SA repaired dysbacteriosis in LPS-treated mice by significantly up-regulating the anti-inflammatory Muribaculaceae and inhibiting pro-inflammatory related Desulfovibrio and Candidatus＿Saccharimonas. In addition， both EBN and SCP could significantly enrich ***， while SA could specifically enrich Prevotellaceae＿UCG＿001. The gut-brain axis was preliminarily established， and SCP may have the potential to be a functional factor for neuroprotection applied in EBN industry.

The phosphine-functionalized phosphonium-based ionic liquids(dppm-Q, dppe-Q, dppp-Q and dppb-Q) as the bi-functional ligands enable the efficient one-pot tandem hydroformylationeacetalization. It was found that, in dppm-Q, dppe-Q, dppp-Q and dppb-Q, the incorporated phosphino-fragments were responsible for Rh-catalyzed hydroformylation and the phosphoniums were in charge of the subsequent acetalization as the Lewis acid catalysts. Moreover, the diphosphonium-based ionic liquid of dppb-DQ could be applied as a co-solvent to immobilize the Rh/dppb-Q catalytic system with the advantages of the improved catalytic performance, the available catalyst recyclability, and the wide generality for the substrates.

The Mining of Citrus EST-SNP and Its Application in Cultivar Discrimination

Single nucleotide polymorphisms （SNPs） are the most abundant sequence variations found in plant genomes and are widely used as molecular genetic markers in cultivar identification and genetic diversity studies. The objective of this study was to identify SNP markers useful for discrimination of citrus cultivars, since large numbers of expressed sequence tags （ESTs） of sweet orange are available from the National Center for Biotechnology Information （NCBI）. We now have the opportunity to discover SNP markers suitable for determining the haplotypes with which to distinguish very closely related cultivars and to assess genetic diversity within or between related species of citrus. SNPs and small insertions/deletions （Indels） from ESTs of sweet orange and satsuma were identified by the in silico SNP discovery strategy. 55 296 EST sequences of sweet orange and 2 575 of satsuma retrieved from the NCBI repository were mined for potential SNPs. Cleaved amplified polymorphic sequences （CAPS） and sequencing approaches were used to validate putative SNPs in a sample of 30 citrus accessions. A total of 3 348 putative SNPs were identified based on the abundance of sequences and haplotype cosegregation. Of these 3 348 SNPs, the transitions, transversions and Indels ratios were 47.9, 36.1 and 16.0%, respectively. The SNPs occurred on average at a frequency of 1 per 164 bp in the coding region of citrus. 14 SNPs were randomly selected and genotyped according to 30 citrus accessions including 23 accessions of sweet orange; 11 SNPs displayed polymorphism with an average polymorphism information content （PIC） of 0.20 among 30 citrus accessions. The genetic diversity present in sweet orange was low, so the 14 SNP markers failed to discriminate different cultivars of sweet orange, but they did succeed in distinguishing accessions of inter-species of citrus. Multiple Nanoparticles Coupling Strategy for Enhancing Optical Filter Performance of Spectral Splitter Used in Photovoltaic/Thermal System

Selective absorptive nanofluid can pre-absorb certain sunlight wavelength that cannot be used by PV and transmits remaining sunlight to the surface of PV,which can decouple PV from the thermal receiver *** order to improve the harvesting of electricity and high-temperature thermal nanofluid,it is important to design an optimal optical filter window(transmit sunlight with wavelengths of 732-1067 nm to the surface of the photovoltaic cell and absorb the remaining sunlight).However,designing optimal optical filter is facing following challenges:(1) inherently narrow selective absorptivity property of single nanoparticle;(2) simplified numerical calculation method calculating transmittance;(3) ignoring the shape of the *** this study,the idea of using multiple nanoparticles coupling effect to design an optical filter is proposed,which can superimpose the narrow absorption bandwidth of different nanoparticles to obtain a wide absorption bandwidth of the whole *** addition,an improved transmission method considering light-matter interaction at air/vessel and liquid/vessel interfaces is adopted to compute the *** results calculated by improved transmission method are more accurate than widely used traditional Lambert-Beer law,which is verified by experimental ***,the effect of nanoparticle shape on spectral transmittance is also investigated,which shows that spiny Ag can approximately extend absorbance from 400 nm to 600 nm compared to nanosphere ***,the results show that optical filter efficiency of nanofluids with multiple nanoparticles coupling(Ag,spiny Ag,ZnO,ITO) can reached up to 35%.

Three-dimensional stability calculation method for high and large composite slopes formed by mining stope and inner dump in adjacent open pits

Synthesis and characterization of SBA-15 macrospheres with hierarchical pore structure

The new macroscopic-scale SBA-15 spheres with diameter of 0.2-0.5 mm are prepared by a sol-gel method, in which the tetrabutylorthosilicate （TBOS） is used as silicon source and triblock copolymer （P123） and polyoxyethylene octylphenol ether （OP- 10） are used as templates. The resulting spherical samples are characterized by XRD, N2 adsorption-desorption, TEM and SEM methods. The results show that the inner structure of SBA-15 macrospheres has macroporous channels （0.5 um） and mesoporous skeleton （4-5 nm）. These SBA-15 macrospheres with the hierarchical pore structure demonstrate high absorption capacity for Emodin molecules.
