Sepiella japonica is a worldwide marine cuttlefish species of high economic *** routinely modifying behaviors in reproductive life,such as rapid aging until death after spawning,has been recognized in artificial ***,reproductive behavior at the level of genes is rarely reported,thus,the research on the genetic basis of behavior,reproduction,and artificial breeding was *** applied RNA-seq in different stages of reproduction to investigate the reason of rapid aging after spawning,pre-maturity,pre-spawning after maturity,and *** retinoid X receptor(RXR)gene family in *** was identified,and 1343–1452 differentially expressed genes(DEGs)in all 3 stages of reproductive life were identified from pairwise m RNA ***,through the GO term and KEGG analysis,*** could handle neuronal development and network formation before maturity and have a functional degradation of neural communication,signal transduction,vision,and gene expression after *** Sj RXRαs have been identified and they played different roles in growth development or ***,the regulation of several channels and receptors is the intrinsic molecular mechanism of rapid aging after spawning in *** study revealed the survival strategy and provided fundamental data on the level of genes for understanding the reproductive behavior and the reproduction of ***.

Pore shrinkage capacity of Shajiang black soils(Vertisols)on the North China Plain and its influencing factors

Different pore sizes present different pore shrinkage capacities in a nonrigid ***,the shrinkage capacities of different pore sizes and their influencing factors are not *** aimed to quantify the shrinkage capacities of different pore sizes(large pores,>50μm;medium pores,0.2-50μm;fine pores,<0.2μm)and determine how soil properties impact soil shrinkage capacity at the regional *** sampling transects from west to east(360 km long,35 samples)and from north to south(190 km long,29 samples)were selected to investigate soil shrinkage capacity and physicochemical properties of at0-20 cm depth in the Vertisol(locally known as Shajiang black soil)region of the North China *** results showed that soil total shrinkage capacity,indicated by the coefficient of linear extensibility(COLE),had a mean value of 0.041-0.051 in the west-east and north-south *** pores had higher pore shrinkage index(PSI)values(0.103-0.109)than medium(0.077-0.096)and fine(0.087-0.091)*** PSI of fine pores showed a fluctuating increasing trend from northwest to southeast,and the fine pore shrinkage capacity determined the COLE(r^(2)=0.789,P<0.001).The PSI of large pores had a significant relationship with soil bulk density(r=0.281,P<0.05)and organic carbon(r=-0.311,P<0.05),whereas those of medium and fine pores were correlated with soil clay content(r=0.381 and 0.687,respectively,P<0.001).In addition,the PSI of fine pores was also correlated with montmorillonite content(r=0.387,P<0.01).It can be concluded that the PSI of large pores is related to anthropogenically influenced soil properties with low stability,whereas those of medium and fine pores are related to pedogenic *** high variability in anthropogenic and pedogenic factors explains the spatial pattern of Vertisol shrinkage capacity on the North China Plain.

Although both protein arginine methylation(PRMT)and jasmonate(JA)signaling are crucial for regulating plant development,the relationship between these processes in the control of spikelet development remains *** this study,we used the CRISPR/Cas9 technology to generate two OsPRMT6a loss-of-function mutants that exhibit various abnormal spikelet ***,we found that OsPRMT6a can methylate arginine residues in JA signal repressors OsJAZ1 and *** showed that arginine methylation of OsJAZ1 enhances the binding affinity of OsJAZ1 with the JA receptors OsCOI1a and OsCOI1b in the presence of JAs,thereby promoting the ubiquitination of OsJAZ1 by the SCF^(OsCOI1a/OsCOI1b) complex and degradation via the 26S *** process ultimately releases OsMYC2,a core transcriptional regulator in the JA signaling pathway,to activate or repress JA-responsive genes,thereby maintaining normal plant(spikelet)***,in the osprmt6a-1 mutant,reduced arginine methylation of OsJAZ1 impaires the interaction between OsJAZ1 and OsCOI1a/OsCOI1b in the presence of *** a result,OsJAZ1 proteins become more stable,repressing JA responses,thus causing the formation of abnormal spikelet ***,we discovered that JA signaling reduces the OsPRMT6a mRNA level in an OsMYC2-dependent manner,thereby establishing a negative feedback loop to balance JA *** further found that OsPRMT6a-mediated arginine methylation of OsJAZ1 likely serves as a switch to tune JA signaling to maintain normal spikelet development under harsh environmental conditions such as high ***,our study establishes a direct molecular link between arginine methylation and JA signaling in rice.

Physical and mechanical properties and microstructures of submarine soils in the Yellow Sea

In recent years,the exploration of seabed has been intensified,but the submarine soils of silt and sand in the Yellow Sea area have not been well investigated so *** this study,the physical and mechanical properties of silt and sand from the Yellow Sea were measured using a direct shear apparatus and their microstructures were observed using a scanning electron *** test results suggest that the shear strength of silt and sand increases linearly with the increase of normal *** on the direct shear test,the scanning electron microscope was used to observe the section surface of *** is observed that the section surface becomes rough,with many“V”‐shaped *** particles appear on the surface of the silt structure and tend to be *** X‐ray diffraction experiment reveals that the sand and silt have different *** shear strength of sand is slightly greater than that of silt under high stress,which is related to the shape of soil particles and the mineral *** results can be a reference for further study of other soils in the Yellow Sea;meanwhile,they can serve as soil parameters for the stability and durability analyses of offshore infrastructure construction.

An improved deep dilated convolutional neural network for seismic facies interpretation

With the successful application and breakthrough of deep learning technology in image segmentation,there has been continuous development in the field of seismic facies interpretation using convolutional neural *** intelligent and automated methods significantly reduce manual labor,particularly in the laborious task of manually labeling seismic ***,the extensive demand for training data imposes limitations on their wider *** overcome this challenge,we adopt the UNet architecture as the foundational network structure for seismic facies classification,which has demonstrated effective segmentation results even with small-sample training ***,we integrate spatial pyramid pooling and dilated convolution modules into the network architecture to enhance the perception of spatial information across a broader *** seismic facies classification test on the public data from the F3 block verifies the superior performance of our proposed improved network structure in delineating seismic facies *** analysis against the traditional UNet model reveals that our method achieves more accurate predictive classification results,as evidenced by various evaluation metrics for image ***,the classification accuracy reaches an impressive 96%.Furthermore,the results of seismic facies classification in the seismic slice dimension provide further confirmation of the superior performance of our proposed method,which accurately defines the range of different seismic *** approach holds significant potential for analyzing geological patterns and extracting valuable depositional information.

Hydrogen storage thermodynamics and kinetics of as-cast Ce-Mg-Ni-based alloy

The reaction kinetics of alloys based on magnesium are known to be greatly improved by the partial substitution of Mg with rare earths and transition metals,particularly *** enhanced superficial hydrogen dissociation rate,the weakened Mg-H bond and the lower activation energy following element replacement are thought to be related to the better *** experimental alloys Ce5Mg_(95-x)Ni_(x)(x=5,10,15)were smelted by the vacuum induction *** phase transformation and structural evolution of experimental alloys before and after reaction with hydrogen were char-acterized by X-ray diffraction,scanning electron microscopy and transmission electron *** cast specimens contain CeMg_(12),Mg and Mg_(2)Ni phases,and the increase in Ni content results in an obvious growth of Mg_(2)Ni *** isothermal and non-isothermal hydrogenation and dehydrogenation kinetics of the experimental specimens were investi-gated using the Sievert apparatus,differential scanning calorimetry and thermal gravimetric *** activation energy may be calculated using the Arrhenius and Kissinger *** experimental alloys have been shown to have good activation properties,with a reversible hydriding and dehydriding capacities of around 5.0 wt.%in the first *** initial dehydrogenation temperature of MgH_(2) decreases from 557.5 to 537.7 K with changing Ni content from 5 to 15 at.%.The dehydrogenation activation energy also reduces from 77.09 to 62.96 kJ/mol,which explains the improved hydrogen storage performance caused by Ni *** can be shown that the impact of Ni on the decomposition enthalpy of MgH_(2) is quite modest,with the absolute enthalpy(ΔHr)only decreasing from 78.48 to 76.15 kJ/mol.

Preparation of PVA/GO/h-BN Janus Film with High Thermal Conductivity and Excellent Flexibility via a Density Deposition Self-assembly Method

Janus films with asymmetric physical/chemical properties have attracted con siderable attention due to their promising applications in personal thermal management,electronic skin s,sensors,actuators,***,traditional methods for fabricating Janus films conventionally need the assistance of an interface or auxiliary equipment,which are usually complex and ***,flexible poly(vinyl alcohol)(PVA)/graphene oxide(GO)/h-BN(recorded as PVA/GO/h-BN)Janus films with thermally,optically,and electrically anisotropic properties are fabricated by a simple density deposition self-assem bly method,which just utilizes the density difference between GO and h-BN during water *** results show that the two sides of the acquired Janus films have obvious asymmetric *** the original state of the PVA/GO/h-BN Janus films,the thermal conductivity of the GO side(10.06 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1))is generally lower than that of the h-BN side(10.48W·m^(-1)·K^(-1)).But after GO is reduced,the thermal conductivity of the rGO side reaches 12.17 W·m^(-1)·K^(-1),surpassing that of the h-BN *** addition,the relative reflectance of the h-BN side of Janus film is also significantly higher than that of the rGO side,and the su rface resistance difference between the two sides is about 4 orders of *** prepared PVA/GO/h-BN Janus films show great application potential in human thermal management,light conversion switches,and electronic *** study provides a simple and versatile strategy for fabricating Janus films with multifunctional(such as thermal,optical,and electrical)anisotropies.

Tracing the sources of nutrients through the Tsushima/Korea Strait

The nutrients from the East China Sea(ECS) through the Tsushima/Korea Strait(TS) strongly impact the eco system of the Japan Sea(JS).The complex origins of the Tsushima Warm Current and the various nutrient sources in the ECS result in complex spatial-temporal variations in nutrients in the *** a physical-biological model with a tracking technique,we studied the effects of nutrient sources from the ECS on the *** all the nutrient sources,the Kuroshio has the highest nutrient concentrations in the *** maximum concentration occurs at the bottom,while those of rivers and atmospheric depo sition occur at the surface,and that of the Taiwan Strait occurs in the middle *** nutrient transport through the TS exhibits similar seasonal variations,as does the volume *** transport of nutrients from the Kuroshio accounts for more than 85% of the *** transport of nutrients from the Taiwan Strait is greater during autumn and *** transport of dissolved inorganic nitrogen(DIN) from both rivers and atmospheric deposition through the TS peak in *** transport cannot be equated with volume *** DIN in the less saline zone originates not only from rivers but also from atmospheric deposition and the *** transport of nutrients from the Taiwan Strait is not as significant as its volume transport in the TS.

Mechanism of slag pellets sticking on the wall of reduction pot in magnesium production by Pidgeon process

In the preparation of magnesium by Pidgeon process,the phenomenon slag pellets sticking on the wall of reduction pot always appear,and the glaze sticking on the inner wall of the reduction pot is difficult to *** mechanism of this phenomenon is studied in this work by X-ray fluorescence spectrometer(XRF)measurement,electron probe microanalyzer scanning(EPMA)analysis,differential scanning calorimetry(DSC)analysis,and thermodynamic *** main components of the glaze are MgO,Ca_(12)Al_(14)F_(2)O_(32),CaF_(2),CaO,and a small amount of Ca_(4)Si_(2)O_(7)F_(2).The solid-liquid transition temperature of Ca_(12)Al_(14)F_(2)O_(32)and CaF_(2)is close to the production temperature of Pidgeon process,which leads to the bonding between the slag pellets and the pot *** loss of CaF_(2)in glaze layer will reduce the total amount of liquid phase and increase the temperature at which Ca_(12)Al_(14)F_(2)O_(32)is completely transformed into liquid phase,which causes glaze layer sticking on the inner wall of the reduction pot.
