Perovskite quantum dots(PQDs)have been considered promising and effective photovoltaic absorber due to their superior optoelectronic properties and inherent material merits combining perovskites and ***,they exhibit low moisture stability at room humidity(20-30%)owing to many surface defect sites generated by inefficient ligand exchange *** surface traps must be re-passivated to improve both charge transport ability and moisture *** address this issue,PQD-organic semiconductor hybrid solar cells with suitable electrical properties and functional groups might dramatically improve the charge extraction and defect *** organic semiconductors are typically low-dimensional(1D and 2D)and prone to excessive self-aggregation,which limits chemical interaction with *** this work,we designed a new 3D star-shaped semiconducting material(Star-TrCN)to enhance the compatibility with *** robust bonding with Star-TrCN and PQDs is demonstrated by theoretical modeling and experimental *** Star-TrCN-PQD hybrid films show improved cubic-phase stability of CsPbI_(3)-PQDs via reduced surface trap states and suppressed moisture *** a result,the resultant devices not only achieve remarkable device stability over 1000 h at 20-30%relative humidity,but also boost power conversion efficiency up to 16.0%via forming a cascade energy band structure.

A critical challenge hindering the practical application of lithium–oxygen batteries(LOBs)is the inevitable problems associated with liquid electrolytes,such as evaporation and safety *** study addresses these problems by proposing a modified polyrotaxane(mPR)-based solid polymer electrolyte(SPE)design that simultaneously mitigates solvent-related problems and improves ***-SPE exhibits high ion conductivity(2.8×10^(−3)S cm^(−1)at 25℃)through aligned ion conduction pathways and provides electrode protection ability through hydrophobic chain *** this mPR-SPE into solid-state LOBs resulted in stable potentials over 300 *** situ Raman spectroscopy reveals the presence of an LiO_(2)intermediate alongside Li_(2)O_(2)during oxygen *** situ X-ray diffraction confirm the ability of the SPE to hinder the permeation of oxygen and moisture,as demonstrated by the air permeability *** present study suggests that maintaining a low residual solvent while achieving high ionic conductivity is crucial for restricting the sub-reactions of solid-state LOBs.

Reversible faradaic reactions involving redox mediators and oxygen-containing groups on carbon fiber electrode for high-performance flexible fibrous supercapacitors

Flexible fibrous supercapacitors(FFS)are taking account of as the energy storage devices for wearable electronics owing to their high power density,high safety,long cycle life,and simple manufacturing ***,FFSs have the disadvantage of low specific capacitance that results from the electrochemical characteristics of the electrical double layer on the carbon fiber *** this study,for the first time,an FFS comprising surface-activated carbon fibers as an electrode/current collector and a redox additive gel polymer electrolyte(FFS-SARE)was fabricated for use as a wearable energy storage *** FFS-SARE showed outstanding electrochemical performance,namely,high specific capacitances of 891 and 399 mF cm^(-2) at current densities of 70.0 and 400 μA cm^(-2),respectively,and remarkable ultrafast cycling stability over 5000 cycles with 92%capacitance retention at a current density of 400.0 μA cm^(-2).Moreover,they exhibited mechanical flexibility and had high feasibility,and they showed good energy storage performance that renders them suitable for use in wearable electronic textiles.

Interface Engineering of Carbon Fiber‑Based Electrode for Wearable Energy Storage Devices

Carbon-based fibrous supercapacitors(CFSs)have demonstrated great potential as next-generation wearable energy storage devices owing to their credibility,resilience,and high power *** limited specific surface area and low electrical conductivity of the carbon fiber electrode,however,impede its practical *** overcome this challenge,this study fabricated a CFS by sequentially coating graphene,carbon nanotube,and activated carbon on the carbon fiber surface(CF/G/CNT/AC).The CF/G/CNT/AC exhibited excellent electrochemical performance with a specific capacitance of 692 mF cm^(-2)at 70μA cm^(-2)and good cycling stability over 4000 *** result is ascribed to the increase of contact area between the active material and the current ***,the energy density of the as-prepared CF/G/CNT/AC fibrous supercapacitor reaches 86.6 and 37.7μW cm^(-2)at power densities of 126 and 720μW cm^(-2),respectively,demonstrating its potential for practical *** addition,the CF/G/CNT/AC demonstrated favorable traits such as mechanical flexibility,feasibility,and energy storage capacity,qualifying it as a viable alternative for wearable electronic textiles.

Nature of large (Ti, Nb)(C, N) particles precipitated during the solidification of Ti, Nb HSLA steel

To investigate the microsegregation phenomena and complex （Ti, Nb）（C, N） precipitation behavior during continuous casting, a unidirectional solidification unit was employed to simulate the solidification process. The samples of Ti, Nb-addition steels after unidirectional solidification were examined using field emission scanning electron microscope （FE-SEM） and electron probe X-ray microanalyzer （EPMA）. In such specimens, dendrite structure and mushy zone can be detected along the solidification direction. It shows that the addition of titanium, niobium to high-strength low-alloyed （HSLA） steel results in undesirable （Ti, Nb）（C, N） precipitation because of microsegregation. The effect of cooling rate on （Ti, Nb）（C, N） precipitation was investigated. The composition of large precipitates was determined using FE-SEM with EDS. Large （Ti, Nb）（C, N） precipitates could be divided into three kinds according to the composition and morphology. With the cooling rate increasing, Ti-rich （Ti, Nb）（C, N） precipitates are transformed to Nb-rich （Ti, Nb）（C, N） precipitates.

Thermodynamic calculations and experiments on inclusions to be nucleation sites for intragranular ferrite in Si-Mn-Ti deoxidized steel

Microstructures and inclusions in the Si-Mn-Ti deoxidized steels after cooling in the furnace were investigated. The composition and morphology of the inclusions were analyzed using a field emission scanning electron microscope （FE-SEM） with energy dispersive X-ray spectrometry （EDS）. The kind and composition of the inclusions calculated from the thermodynamic database were in good agreement with the experimental results. There were two main kinds of inclusions formed in the Si-Mn-Ti deoxidized steels. One kind of inclusion was the manganese titanium oxide （Mn-Ti oxide）. Another kind of inclusion was the MnS inclusion with segregation points containing Ti and N. According to the thermodynamic calculation, those segregation points were TiN precipitates. The formation of intragranular ferrite （IGF） microstructures refined the grain size during the austenite-ferrite transformation. The mechanisms of IGF formation were discussed. Mn-Ti oxide inclusions with Mn-depleted zone （MDZ） were effective to be nucleation sites for IGF formation, because the MDZ increased the austenite-ferrite transformation temperature. TiN had the low misfit ratio with IGF, so the TiN precipitated on the MnS surface also promoted the formation of IGF because of decreasing interfacial energies.

Surface Tension and Temperature Effect on Entrapment of Bubbles and Particles in Continuous Casting of Steel

The entrapment behavior of Ar bubbles onto the solidifying front of molten steel in the continuous casting mold was investigated. The dynamic model of bubble and particle entrapment was developed in order to consider the effect of surface tension gradient induced forces(Marangoni force) due to the gradient of sulfur concentration and temperature. The numerical analysis and water model experiment were performed to apply the present model for various conditions. The calculation result is compared with experimental results and plant data in continuous casting mold as well. It shows that the thermal Marangoni force could play an important role and this model predicts the bubble behavior in the vicinity of solid/liquid interface more precisely.
