Based on the coupling of two distant three-level atoms in two separate optical cavities connected with two optical fibres, schemes on the generation of several two-qubit logic gates are discussed under the conditions of △ = δ- 2v cos πk/2 〉〉 g/2 and v-g. Discussion and analysis of the fidelity, gate time and experimental setups show that our schemes are feasible with current optical cavity, atomic trap and optical fibre techniques. Moreover, the atom-cavityfibre coupling can be used to generate an N-qubit nonlocal entanglement and transfer quantum information among N distant atoms by arranging N atom cavity assemblages in a line and connecting each two adjacent cavities with two optical fibres.

We study both classical and quantum relation between two Hamiltonian systems which are mutually connected by time-dependent canonical transformation. One is ordinary conservative system and the other is timedependent Hamiltonian system. The quantum unitary operator relevant to classical canonical transformation between the two systems are obtained through rigorous evaluation. With the aid of the unitary operator, we have derived quantum states of the time-dependent Hamiltonian system through transforming the quantum states of the conservative system. The invariant operators of the two systems are presented and the relation between them are addressed. We showed that there exist numerous Hamiltonians, which gives the same classical equation of motion. Though it is impossible to distinguish the systems described by these Hamiltonians within the realm of classical mechanics, they can be distinguishable quantum mechanically.

AIM: We have previously demonstrated that hepatitis C virus (HCV) core protein is efficiently released into the culture medium in insect cells. The objective of this study is to characterize the HCV core secretion in insect cells. METHODS: We constructed recombinant baculoviruses expressing various-length of mutant core proteins, expressed these proteins in insect cells, and examined core protein secretion in insect cells. RESULTS: Only wild type core was efficiently released into the culture medium, although the protein expression level of wild type core was lower than those of other mutant core proteins. We found that the shorter form of the core construct expressed the higher level of protein. However, if more than 18 amino acids of the core were truncated at the C-terminus, core proteins were no longer secreted into the culture medium. Membrane flotation data show that the secreted core proteins are associated with the cellular membrane protein, indicating that HCV core is secreted as a membrane complex. CONCLUSION: The C-terminal 18 amino acids of HCV core were crucial for core secretion into the culture media. Since HCV replication occurs on lipid raft membrane structure, these results suggest that HCV may utilize a unique core release mechanism to escape immune surveillance, thereby potentially representing the feature of HCV morphogenesis.

A ring signature scheme provides signer ambiguity by hiding a signer in a ring of arbitrary members appropriately. A convertible ring signature scheme is an extension of a ring signature scheme that authenticates a signer and proves that a real signer and no one else generated a ring signature. In this paper, we first show that the recent convertible ring signature scheme proposed by Jeong et al. is vulnerable to collusion ***, we present a formal security model for a convertible ring signature with collusion resistance. The security notion of a convertible ring signature is intrinsically different from that of an ordinary ring signature due to the conversion property. For our collusion resistance, we consider full key exposure, that is, even an adversary who knows all secret keys will not be able to break the collusion resistance. Finally, we construct a novel convertible ring signature scheme with collusion resistance and prove the security of the scheme in the presented security model. We also compare our scheme with the existing ring signature schemes in the literature to show its advantages.

We propose a protocol to implement the nonlocal Bell-state measurement, which is nearly determinate with the help of weak cross-Kerr nonlinearities and quantum non-destructive photon number resolving detection. Based on the nonlocal Bell-state measurement, we implement the quantum information transfer from one place to another. The process is different from conventional teleportation but can be regarded as a novel form of teleportation without entangled channel and classic communication.

We present a scheme to prepare cluster-type entangled squeezed vacuum states （CTESVS） by considering the two-photon interaction between a two-level atom and a high-quality cavity, driven by a strong classical field. After the realization of simple atomic measurements, the generation of CTESVS in four separate cavities is accomplished within the cavity decay time. In the case of large atom=cavity detuning, the scheme is immune to the effect of atomic spontaneous emission.

The chloroplast is a unique organelle in that it possesses an intra-organellar membrane-enclosed structure called thylakoid,which is central to ***,the timely expression and correct localization of thylakoid proteins are of utmost importance to plant growth and development(Lee et al.,2017;New et al.,2018).Biogenesis of thylakoid proteins is highly complex;they are encoded by two different genomes,nuclear and chloroplast genomes,and translated in the cytosol and chloroplasts,***-encoded thylakoid proteins are first imported into the stroma of chloroplasts before they are targeted to *** the stroma,multiple sorting mechanisms exist to ensure import or insertion of thylakoid luminal or membrane proteins,respectively(Lee et al.,2017).Approximately 50%of thylakoid luminal proteins are imported through the cpTAT(chloroplast twin-arginine translocation)pathway,which is also present in bacteria and plant mitochondria(Cline,2015;Schafer et al.f 2020).

A scheme for implementing a two-qubit phase gate with atoms sent through a high-Q optical cavity is proposed by choosing nonidentical coupling constants between the atoms and cavity. The atomic spontaneous emission can be suppressed due to the large atom-field detuning. Moreover, the scheme can be generalized to implement an N-qubit phase gate and the gating time does not change with an increase of the number of qubits.
