The Circular Electron Positron Collider(CEPC)is a large scientific project initiated and hosted by china,fostered through extensive collaboration with international *** complex comprises four accelerators:a 30 GeV Linac,a 1.1 GeV Damping Ring,a Booster capable of achieving energies up to 180 GeV,and a Collider operating at varying energy modes(Z,W,H,and tt).The Linac and Damping Ring are situated on the surface,while the subterranean Booster and Collider are housed in a 100 km circumference underground tunnel,strategically accommodating future expansion with provisions for a potential Super Proton Proton Collider(SPPC).The CEPC primarily serves as a Higgs *** its baseline design with synchrotron radiation(SR)power of 30 MW per beam,it can achieve a luminosity of 5×10^(34)cm^(-2)s^(-1)per interaction point(IP),resulting in an integrated luminosity of 13 ab^(-1)for two IPs over a decade,producing 2.6 million Higgs *** the SR power to 50 MW per beam expands the CEPC's capability to generate 4.3 million Higgs bosons,facilitating precise measurements of Higgs coupling at sub-percent levels,exceeding the precision expected from the HL-LHC by an order of *** Technical Design Report(TDR)follows the Preliminary Conceptual Design Report(Pre-CDR,2015)and the Conceptual Design Report(CDR,2018),comprehensively detailing the machine's layout,performance metrics,physical design and analysis,technical systems design,R&D and prototyping efforts,and associated civil engineering ***,it includes a cost estimate and a preliminary construction timeline,establishing a framework for forthcoming engineering design phase and site selection *** is anticipated to begin around 2027-2028,pending government approval,with an estimated duration of 8 *** commencement of experiments and data collection could potentially be initiated in the mid-2030s.

Morinda officinalis oligosaccharides(MOO) are an oral drug approved in china for the treatment of depression in china. However, MOO is hardly absorbed so that their anti-depressant mechanism has not been elucidated. here, we show that oral MOO acted on tryptophan → 5-hydroxytryptophan(5-HTP) → serotonin(5-HT) metabolic pathway in the gut microbiota. MOO could increase tryptophan hydroxylase levels in the gut microbiota which accelerated 5-HTP production from tryptophan;meanwhile, MOO inhibited 5-hydroxytryptophan decarboxylase activity, thus reduced 5-HT generation,and accumulated 5-HTP. The raised 5-HTP from the gut microbiota was absorbed to the blood, and then passed across the blood-brain barrier to improve 5-HT levels in the brain. Additionally, pentasaccharide,as one of the main components in MOO, exerted the significant anti-depressant effect through a mechanism identical to that of MOO. This study reveals for the first time that MOO can alleviate depression via increasing 5-HTP in the gut microbiota.

小蛋白质(Smallproteins,SPs)是由小开放阅读框(Shortopenreadingframes,sORFs)编码长度小于100个氨基酸的多肽。研究发现小蛋白质参与了基因表达调控、细胞信号转导和代谢等重要生物学过程。然而,生命体中大多数的已注释小蛋白质尚缺少蛋白水平存在的实验证据,被称为漏检蛋白(Missing proteins,MPs)。小蛋白质的高效鉴定是其功能研究的前提,也有助于挖掘"漏检蛋白"。文中采用小蛋白质富集策略鉴定到72个酵母小蛋白质,验证9个"漏检蛋白",发现低分子量、高疏水性、膜结合、弱密码子使用偏性及不稳定性是蛋白漏检的主要原因,对进一步的技术优化具有指导意义。

As one of the three payloads for the Advanced Space-based Solar Observatory(ASO-S)mission,the Lyman-alpha(Lyα)Solar Telescope(LST)is composed of three instruments:a Solar Corona Imager(SCI),a LyαSolar Disk Imager(SDI)and a full-disk White-light Solar Telescope(WST).When working in-orbit,LST will simultaneously perform high-resolution imaging observations of all regions from the solar disk to the inner corona up to 2.5 R⊙(R⊙stands for the mean solar radius)with a spatial resolution of 4.8′′and 1.2′′for coronal and disk observations,respectively,and a temporal resolution of 30–120 s and 1–120 s for coronal and disk observations,*** maximum exposure time can be up to20 s due to precise pointing and image stabilization *** the three telescopes of LST,SCI is a dual-waveband coronagraph simultaneously and independently observing the inner corona in the HI Lyα(121.6±10 nm)line and white light(WL)(700±40 nm)wavebands by using a narrowband Lyαbeam splitter and has a field of view(FOV)from 1.1 to 2.5 R⊙.The stray-light suppression level can attainhe mean brightness of the solar disk)at 1.1 R⊙and≤5×10^-8 B⊙at 2.5 R⊙.SDI and WST are solar disk imagers working in the Lyαline and 360.0 nm wavebands,respectively,which adopt an off-axis two-mirror reflective structure with an FOV up to 1.2 R⊙,covering the inner coronal edge area and relating to coronal *** present the up-to-date design for the LST payload.

抗新型冠状病毒肺炎(coronavirus disease 2019,COVID-19)有效中药发现,是临床治疗的迫切需求,研发药效预测计算工具,有利于发现有效中药。中药抗新型冠状病毒肺炎药效预测分析平台(TCMATCOV平台),以SARS-CoV导致的小鼠肺炎模型的差异表达基因以及新型冠状病毒肺炎特异性上调的细胞因子为基础,构建用于表征COVID-19疾病网络模型;采用多靶标药物对于疾病网络扰动作用的定量评价算法,进行潜在药效预测。基于TCMATCOV平台对106种中药进行计算预测,扰动总分高的中药在临床常用抗COVID-19经典名方中占比较高,提示预测结果与中医临床实际用药之间存在较好的关联性;扰动总分大于1的中药五味以辛、苦为主,兼有甘味;归经以肺、心、脾、肝、胃经为主,兼有大肠、肾、膀胱经;四气随着扰动总分提高,温热类中药的比例逐渐提升。TCMATCOV平台作为一种中药方剂抗COVID-19潜在药效预测工具,具有实用价值。

Background:The current World health Organization(WHO) classification of nasopharyngeal carcinoma(NPC) con?veys little prognostic *** study aimed to propose an NPC histopathologic classification that can poten?tially be used to predict prognosis and treatment ***:We initially developed a histopathologic classification based on the morphologic traits and cell differentia?tion of tumors of 2716 NPC patients who were identified at Sun Yat?sen University Cancer center(SYSUCC)(training cohort).Then,the proposed classification was applied to 1702 patients(retrospective validation cohort) from hospitals outside SYSUCC and 1613 patients(prospective validation cohort) from *** efficacy of radiochemotherapy and radiotherapy modalities was compared between the proposed *** used Cox proportional hazards models to estimate hazard ratios(HRs) with 95% confidence intervals(CI) for overall survival(OS).Results:The 5?year OS rates for all NPC patients who were diagnosed with epithelial carcinoma(EC;3708 patients),mixed sarcomatoid?epithelial carcinoma(MSEC;1247 patients),sarcomatoid carcinoma(SC;823 patients),and squamous cell carcinoma(SCC;253 patients) were 79.4%,70.5%,59.6%,and 42.6%,respectively(P hemotherapy significantly improved survival compared with radiotherapy alone for patients with EC(HR 49–0.75),and possibly for those with SCC(HR = 0.67,95% CI = 0.56–0.80),MSEC(HR = 0.58,95% CI = 0..74–1.28).= 0.63;95% CI = 0.40–0.98),but not for patients with SC(HR = 0.97,95% CI = 0Conclusions:The proposed classification offers more information for the prediction of NPC prognosis compared with the WHO classification and might be a valuable tool to guide treatment decisions for subtypes that are associ?ated with a poor prognosis.

Background Malnutrition is common in patients with cancer,and this adversely affects the survival and quality of life of *** Society for Nutritional Oncology issued a multi-center,large-scale,long-term follow-up prospective study,the Investigation on Nutrition Status and Clinical Outcome of Patients with Common Cancers in china(INSCOC study)since *** is an extension to the previous 2013-2020 study *** study still sought to:①address the prognostic impact of nutritional factors and quality of life on cancer patient survival;②describe the overall and cancer-specific incidence and/or distribution of malnutrition and different measurements of patient quality of *** and study design This is an observational,multi-centered,hospital-based prospective cohort *** collection will be performed at baseline(within 48 hours after patient admission),during the hospital stay and 30 days after hospital ***-up will be conducted for 1-20 years after *** primary outcome will be the all-cause mortality/overall survival,and secondary outcomes will be the length of hospital stay and costs of *** factors will include demographic characteristics,tumor characteristics,information about chronic diseases,hematological measurements(e.g.,red blood cell count,total lymphocyte counts,hemoglobin,albumin,prealbumin,creatinine,C-reactive protein,IL-6),anthropometric measurements(e.g.,height,weight,arm circumference,arm muscle circumference,triceps skinfold thickness,and waist circumference),body composition parameters,PG-SGA scores,quality of life(as indicated by the QLQ-C30 questionnaire),muscle mass(as indicated by the calf circumference),muscle strength(as indicated by the handgrip strength),muscle function(as indicated by the six-meter walking speed test)and physical status assessments(as indicated by the Karnofsky Performance Status scores).This clinical study protocol was approved by local Ethics Committees of
