Background In viet Nam, tuberculosis (TB) represents a devastating life-event with an exorbitant price tag, partly due to lost income from daily directly observed therapy in public sector care. Thus, persons with TB may seek care in the private sector for its flexibility, convenience, and privacy. Our study aimed to measure income changes, costs and catastrophic cost incurrence among TB-affected households in the public and private *** Between October 2020 and March 2022, we conducted 110 longitudinal patient cost interviews, among 50 patients privately treated for TB and 60 TB patients treated by the National TB Program (NTP) in Ha Noi, Hai Phong and Ho Chi Minh City, viet Nam. Using a local adaptation of the WHO TB patient cost survey tool, participants were interviewed during the intensive phase, continuation phase and post-treatment. We compared income levels, direct and indirect treatment costs, catastrophic costs using Wilcoxon rank-sum and chi-squared tests and associated risk factors between the two cohorts using multivariate *** The pre-treatment median monthly household income was significantly higher in the private sector versus NTP cohort (USD 868 vs USD 578;P=0.010). This paper presents the application of an artificial neural network to develop an approach to determine and study the energy-optimal wing kinematics of a hovering bionic hawkmoth model.A three-layered artificial neural network is used for the rapid prediction of the unsteady aerodynamic force acting on the wings and the required *** this artificial network is integrated into genetic and simplex algorithms,the running time of the optimization process is reduced *** validity of this new approach is confirmed in a comparison with a conventional method using an aerodynamic model based on an extended unsteady vortex-lattice method for a sinu soidal wing kinematics *** studying the obtained results,it is found that actual hawkmoths do not hover under an energy-optimal ***,by tilting the stroke plane and lowering the wing positions,they can compromise and expend some energy to enhance their maneuverability and the stability of their flight.

After a brief reminder of the mechanism of gravitational lensing of ex- tended sources, the particular case of the host galaxy of QSO RXJ0911, a high red-shift （z - 2.8） quadruply imaged quasar, is explored. The non linearity of the problem, together with the proximity of the source to a cusp of the lens inner caustic, has impor-tant consequences on the dependence of the image appearance on the size and shape of the source. Their expected main features and their interpretation in terms of source extension and shape are investigated in a spirit of simplicity and in preparation for the analysis of high sensitivity and spatial resolution images that will soon be within reach with the completion of the Atacama Large Millimeter/submillimeter Array （ALMA）. In particular, the information on source size carded by relative image brightness is dis-cussed. Extension of the results to other types of quadruply imaged quasars is briefly considered.

The objective of this study is to design an elastic neutron scattering system according to the angle with a sample using thermal neutron beam at the Dalat Nuclear Reactor (DNR). The system is used for research and training in the field of material structure analysis by neutron scattering and diffraction techniques. It is designed on the basis of inheriting the neutron measurement spectrometer systems at the DNR and the scattered neutron measurement systems in the world. The measuring system, which was installed at the horizontal channel 4 of the DNR, consists of 5-helium-3 detectors and a fully electronic system to record the scatter counts and a mechanical system with the possibility of rotating at 15˚-75˚ angles. The constructed system is tested for evaluation of the accuracy, stability and reliability of the mechanical and electronic systems of moving detectors by angles.

Hazards and disasters have always negative impacts on the way of *** is an overwhelming natural as well as man-made disaster that causes loss of natural resources and human properties throughout *** present study aimed to assess and compare the prediction efficiency of different models in landslide susceptibility in the Kysuca river basin,*** this regard,the fuzzy decision-making trial and evaluation laboratory combining with the analytic network process(FDEMATEL-ANP),Naïve Bayes(NB)classifier,and random forest(RF)classifier were ***,a landslide inventory map was produced with 2000 landslide and nonlandslide points by randomly dividedwith a ratio of 70%:30%for training and testing,*** geospatial database for assessing the landslide susceptibility was generated with the help of 16 landslide conditioning factors by allowing for topographical,hydrological,lithological,and land cover *** ReliefF methodwas considered for determining the significance of selected conditioning factors and inclusion in the model ***,the landslide susceptibility maps(LSMs)were generated using the FDEMATEL-ANP,Naïve Bayes(NB)classifier,and random forest(RF)classifier ***,the area under curve(AUC)and different arithmetic evaluation were used for validating and comparing the results and *** results revealed that random forest(RF)classifier is a promising and optimum model for landslide susceptibility in the study area with a very high value of area under curve(AUC=0.954),lower value of mean absolute error(MAE=0.1238)and root mean square error(RMSE=0.2555),and higher value of Kappa index(K=0.8435)and overall accuracy(OAC=92.2%).

Many researches have been performed comparing object-based classification (OBC) and pixel-based classification (PBC), particularly in classifying high-resolution satellite images. VNREDSat-1 is the first optical remote sensing satellite of vietnam with resolution of 2.5 m (Panchromatic) and 10 m (Multispectral). The objective of this research is to compare two classification approaches using VNREDSat-1 image for mapping mangrove forest in Vien An dong commune, ngoc Hien district, Ca Mau province. ISODATA algorithm (in PBC method) and membership function classifier (in OBC method) were chosen to classify the same image. The results show that the overall accuracies of OBC and PBC are 73% and 62.16% respectively, and OBC solved the “salt and pepper” which is the main issue of PBC as well. Therefore, OBC is supposed to be the better approach to classify VNREDSat-1 for mapping mangrove forest in ngoc Hien commune.

Assessment of Growth and Productivity on Four Black Pepper Varieties (<i>Piper nigrum</i>L.) in Three Target Provinces of vietnam

Black pepper varieties, namely “Vinh Linh”, “Lada”, “An Do” and “Loc Ninh” were planted in three different ecological regions: Dak Lak, Gia Lai and dong Nai in order to compare the growth ability, productivity, and quality of peppercorn. The experiments were designed in the Randomized Complete Block Design (RCBD) with four replications. The results of study have been indicated that “Vinh Linh” and “Lada” both varieties performed better crucial parameters of growth, productivity and yield, after 36 months planted. Although having greater growth parameter in the location of dong Nai province, four varieties showed lower yield than other regions. By contrast, the four pepper types achieved the highest yield in Gia Lai, followed by Dak Lak. With respect to peppercorn quality, “Vinh Linh”, “Loc Ninh” and “Lada” achieved requirements of vietnamese Standard (TCVN 7036:2008) including bulk density: 535.69 - 612.72 g/l;piperine: 4.06 - 4.31 g/100g and volatile oil at 2.72 - 3.16 ml/100g. In contrast, “An Do” variety presented the poorest level of piperine (3.78 g/100g), and unachieved requirements.

为查明越南松树枯死的原因,对越南南部的林同省,中部的承天-顺化省,北部的广宁省的思茅松、马尾松和南亚松枯死症状和原因进行了调查,分别从枯死、濒死、健康松树木质部中抽取52份样品,用于线虫分离镜检。调查发现松树在感病后,树冠部分针叶失去光泽,逐渐褪绿变黄,进而褐红干枯,最后整个树冠变为褐色或红褐色,全株枯死,针叶下垂且当年不落;随着病程的发展,松脂分泌逐渐减少,直至停止;树干上有天牛产卵刻槽,死亡的松树上有天牛的羽化孔。在抽取的松树样品中分离鉴定到了泰国伞滑刃线虫(Bursaphelenchus thailandae Brassch&Brassch-Bidasak,2002),为病原的确定和防治工作提供初步的依据。
