Tungsten control in type-I ELMy H-mode plasmas on EAST

The first experimental investigation of the tungsten behavior in ELMy H-mode plasmas with co-/counter neutral beam injection(NBI)and unfavor-able/favorable B t was performed on *** was found to accumulate easily in ELMy H-mode plasma with co-NBI heating and unfavorable B ***,in this case the tungsten concentration can exceed 10^(-4),resulting in degradation of the plasma confinement and periodic H–L *** reduce the tungsten concentration in steady-state type-I ELMy H-mode operation,counter-NBI is applied to modify the density and temperature and brake the plasma toroidal *** applied counter-NBI decreases the PHZ+E_(r) inward pinch velocity and rever-ses the direction of neoclassical inward convection,thus decreasing the tungsten concentration from-7×10^(-5) to-2×10^(-5) in type-I ELMy H-mode plasma with favorable B_(t).A comparison of the effects of different B_(t) directions on the tungsten behavior also shows that favor-able B_(t) is beneficial for reducing the tungsten concentration in the core *** results imply that counter-NBI with favorable B_(t) can effectively prevent tungsten accu-mulation and expand the operating window for exploring steady-state type-I ELMy H-mode operation of EAST.

Positive nucleic acid(NA)results have been found in recovered and discharged COVID-19 patients,but the proportion is *** study was designed to analyze the recurrent positive rate of NA results after consecutively negative results,and the relationship between the specific antibody production and positive NA *** to Strengthening the Reporting of Observational Studies in Epidemiology guidelines,data of inpatients in Sino-French New City Branch of Tongji Hospital between Jan.28 and Mar.6,2020 were collected.A total of 564 COVID-19 patients over 14 years old who received the examinations of NA and antibodies against SARS-CoV-2 were *** of viral shedding and specific antibodies were recorded and *** NA tests in respiratory samples(throat swabs,nasopharyngeal swabs,sputum and flushing fluid in alveoli),the patients with all-negative NA results accounted for 17.20%,those with single-positive results for 46.63%,and those with multiple-positive results for 36.17%***,the recurrent positive NA results after consecutively negative results appeared in 66 patients(11.70%).For multiple-positive patients,median viral shedding duration was 20 days(range:1 to 57 days).Of the 205 patients who received 2 or more antibody tests,141(68.78%)had decreased IgG and IgM *** decreased to normal range in 24 patients,with a median of 44 days from symptom *** shedding duration was not significantly correlated with gender,age,disease severity,changes in pulmonary imaging,and antibody *** is concluded that antibody level and antibody change had no significant correlation with the positive rate of NA tests and the conversion rate after continuous negative NA *** order to reduce the recurrent positive proportion after discharge,3 or more consecutive negative NA test results with test interval more than 24 h every time are suggested for the discharge or release from quarantine.

The fall armyworm(FAW)Spodoptera frugiperda,which originated in the Americas,is advancing across China and threatening the nation’s maize ***,one widely used tool for its control is genetically modified(GM)Bacillus thuringiensis(Bt)*** content of Bt protein in appropriate plant parts is crucial for enhancing resistance against insect *** this study,we conducted a systematic investigation of Cry1 Ab levels in Chinese domestic GM maize DBN9936,which has recently obtained a biosafety certificate,and evaluated its efficacy against *** of expression levels of Cry1 Ab,via ELISA,indicated a spatio-temporal dynamic,with significant variation of mean Cry1 Ab,ranging from 0.76 to 8.48μg g-1 FW with the Cry1 Ab protein level ranked as:V6-V8 leaf>R1 leaf>R4 leaf>R1 silk>VT tassel>R4 *** the nine locations,the Cry1 Ab levels in DBN9936 of the Xinxiang,Langfang,and Harbin fields were significantly lower than those from wuhan and Shenyang,and were slightly,but not significantly lower than those from the other four ***,the artificial diet-Cry1 Ab mixture and plant tissue feeding bioassays revealed that DBN9936 has high efficacy against *** insecticidal efficacy of different tissues against FAW larvae reached 34-100%with a descending order of lethality as follows:VT leaf>R4 leaf>R1 husk>R1 silk>VT tassel>R4 *** together,our results showed that Bt-Cry1 Ab maize DBN9936 has potential as a promising strategy to manage FAW.

Primary vertex reconstruction based on the Kalman filter technique at BESⅢ

Primary vertex reconstruction is crucial to estimate the beam profile in collision experiments. We study the principle of an iterative process, called the Kalman filter method, and apply it to primary vertex reconstruction at BESⅢ. A Newton procedure to find the zero point of the distance function＇s gradient is used for primary vertex finding in 3-dimensional space. Results are obtained based on raw data at BESⅢ.

Clinicopathological Features of Nondiabetic Renal Diseases from Different Age Groups:An Observational Cross-sectional Study

Background:Diabetes mellitus (DM)has become the leading cause of chronic kidney disease (CKD).Nondiabetic renal diseases (NDRDs) have different clinicopathological features and prognosis from those of diabetic *** study sought to analyze the clinical and pathological features of NDRDs,in different age groups through a cross-sectional study. Methods:All patients with type 2 DM at our center who underwent renal biopsy between March 1997 and March 2017 were screened and divided into three groups by age:Group 1 (youth group),18-44 years old;Group 2 (middle-aged group),45-59 years old;and Group 3 (elderly group),≥60 years *** analyzed the clinicopathological data and risk factors by univariate and multivariate logistic regression for NDRD of the patients to identify the features of NDRD in different age groups. Results:We included 982 patients in the final *** with NDRD accounted for 64.4%of all *** nephropathy (IgAN) was the most common pathological pattern in young patients with NDRD,accounting for 26.3%.In the middle-aged group,the two most common pathological patterns were IgAN and membranous *** nephropathy was the most common pathological pattern in elderly patients with NDRD,accounting for 29.3%.Consistent with pathological features,glomerular hematuria is a risk factor for NDRD in Group 1 (odds ratio [OR],26.514;95%confidence interval [CI],2.503-280.910;P =0.006).On the other hand,rapidly increasing proteinuria or nephrotic syndrome is a risk factor for NDRD in Group 2 (OR,5.921;95% CI,2.061-17.013;P =0.001)and Group 3 (OR,90.409;95%CI,6.198-1318.826;P =0.001). Conclusions:This single-center study showed that the proportion and composition of NDRD differ among different age groups. Consistent with pathological features,some clinical indices such as hematuria and proteinuria showed different features among different age groups.

Background:The downstaging of hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)has been confirmed to benefit liver transplantation(LT)patients whose tumors are beyond the transplantation *** criteria(MC),a tumor size and number-based assessment,is currently used as the endpoint in these ***,many studies believe that tumor biological behavior should be added to the evaluation criteria for downstaging ***,this study aimed to explore the feasibility of Hangzhou criteria(HC),which introduced tumor grading and alpha-fetoprotein in addition to tumor size and number,as an endpoint of ***:We performed a multicenter and retrospective study of 206 patients accepted locoregional therapy(LRT)as downstaging/bridge treatment prior to LT in three centers of ***:Recipients were divided into four groups:failed downstaging to the HC(group A,n=46),successful downstaging to the HC(group B,n=30),remained within the HC all the time(group C,n=113),and tumor progressed(group D,n=17).The 3-year HCC recurrence probabilities of groups B and C were not significantly different(10.3%vs.11.6%,P=0.87).The HCC recurrent rate was significantly higher in group A(52.3%)compared with that in group B/C(P<0.05).Seven patients(7/76,9.2%)whose tumor exceeded the the HC were successfully downstaged to the MC,and 39.5%(30/76)to the the *** group B,23 patients remained beyond the MC and their survivals were as well as those of patients within the ***:Compared to the MC,HC downstaging criteria can give more HCC patients access to LT and furthermore,the outcome of these patients is the same as those matching MC downstaging *** downstaging criteria therefore is applicable in clinical practice.

目的:研究栀子不同炮制品标准汤剂质量指标的差异。方法:测定19批栀子、炒栀子和焦栀子标准汤剂出膏率、指标成分栀子苷的含量和转移率,并建立标准汤剂指纹图谱,计算指纹图谱相似度,采用对照品比对的方式对共有峰进行确证,以指纹图谱共有峰的峰面积为变量,进行正交偏最小二乘法-判别分析(OPLS-DA),寻找差异性标志物。结果:标准汤剂的出膏率排序焦栀子>栀子>炒栀子;栀子苷的含量排序栀子>炒栀子>焦栀子;栀子苷的转移率排序焦栀子>栀子>炒栀子。栀子、炒栀子和焦栀子指纹图谱均标识出7个共有峰,指认出其中5个成分,栀子不同炮制品标准汤剂指纹图谱的相似度均大于0.95;OPLS-DA将栀子、炒栀子和焦栀子分为两类,并找到5个差异性成分,分别为峰6、峰5、峰7、峰3和峰2,表明随着炒制程度的加深,上述化学成分在标准汤剂中的含量逐渐降低。结论:可为栀子、炒栀子和焦栀子配方颗粒及其经典名方复方制剂的研究与开发提供参考。
