Mixed-dimensional composite structures using zero-dimensional(0D)quantum dots(QDs)and two-dimensional(2D)transition metal dichalcogenides(TMDs)materials are expected to attract great interest in optoelectronics due to the potential to generate new optical ***,we report on the unique optical characteristics of a devices with mixed dimensional vertically stacked structures based on tungsten diselenide(WSe_(2))/CdSeS QDs monolayer/molybdenum disulfide(MoS_(2))(2D/0D/2D).Specifically,it exhibits an ambipolar photoresponse characteristic,with a negative photoresponse observed in the 400-600 nm wavelength range and a positive photoresponse appeared at 700 nm *** resulted in the high negative responsivity of up to 52.22 mA·W^(−1)under 400 nm,which is 163 times higher than that of the photodetector without CdSeS *** also demonstrated the negative photoresponse,which could be due to increased carrier collision probability and non-radiative *** modeling and simulation reveal that Auger recombination among the types of non-radiative recombination is the main cause of negative photocurrent ***,we discovered ambipolar photoresponse near a specific wavelength corresponding to the energy of quantum *** study revealed interesting phenomenon in the mixed low-dimensional stacked structure and paved the way to exploit it for the development of innovative photodetection materials as well as for optoelectronic applications.

Dynamic response characteristics of muddy sandstone in pumped storage mine under action of high-stress dynamic disturbance

During the construction and operation of the abandoned mine pumped storage power station,the underground space surrounding rock body faces the complex stress environment under the action of mining disturbance,frequent pumping,water storage and other dynamic *** stability of the abandoned mine surrounding rock body is the basis for guaranteeing the safety and effectiveness of water storage in the underground space of the abandoned *** considering the two main factors of different stress levels and disturbance amplitudes,the mechanical properties,damage characteristics and acoustic emission characteristics of the abandoned mine perimeter rock body under dynamic disturbance were investigated using a creep-disturbed dynamic impact loading *** experimental results show that:1)The stress level is considered to be the major contributing factor of the failure of muddy sandstone,followed by the amplitude of the disturbances;2)The time required for the destruction of muddy sandstone decreases with the increase of *** the stress level is 80%,the sandstone specimens have a decreasing number of cycles as the disturbance amplitude *** disturbance amplitude is sequentially increased from 4 MPa to 5,6,7,and 8 MPa,the number of cycles required for specimen destruction decreases significantly by 96.71%,99.13%,99.60%,and 99.93%,respectively;3)Disturbance amplitude and stress level have a significant effect on muddy sandstone damage and damage occurs only after a certain threshold is *** the increase of stress level and disturbance amplitude,the macroscopic damage of muddy sandstone is mainly conical,with obvious flake spalling and poor damage integrity;4)According to the time-dependent changes in AE energy and ringing counts,the acoustic emission activity during the failure process could be divided into three phases,namely,weakening period,smooth period,and surge period,corresponding to the compaction phase,elastic rise phase and p

How to apply ex-vivo split liver transplantation safely and feasibly: A three-step approach

BACKGROUND Given the current organ shortage crisis,split liver transplantation(SLT)has emerged as a promising alternative for select end-stage liver disease *** To introduce an ex-vivo liver graft splitting approach and evaluate its safety and feasibility in *** A retrospective analysis was conducted on the liver transplantation data from cases performed at our center between April 1,2022,and May 31,*** study included 25 SLT cases and 81 whole liver transplantation(WLT)*** ex-vivo liver splitting was employed for SLT graft procurement in three *** outcomes were determined,including liver function parameters,postoperative complications,and perioperative *** comparisons for categorical variables were performed using theχ²-*** In the study,postoperative complications in the 25 SLT cases included hepatic artery thrombosis(n=1)and pulmonary infections(n=3),with no perioperative *** contrast,among the 81 patients who underwent WLT,complications included perioperative mortality(n=1),postoperative pulmonary infections(n=8),abdominal infection(n=1),hepatic artery thromboses(n=3),portal vein thrombosis(n=1),and intra-abdominal bleeding(n=5).Comparative analysis demonstrated significant differences in alanine aminotransferase(176.0 vs 73.5,P=0.000)and aspartate aminotransferase(AST)(42.0 vs 29.0,P=0.004)at 1 wk postoperatively,and in total bilirubin(11.8 vs 20.8,P=0.003)and AST(41.5 vs 26.0,P=0.014)at 2 wk ***,the overall incidence of complications was comparable between the two groups(P>0.05).CONCLUSION Our findings suggest that the total ex-vivo liver graft splitting technique is a safe and feasible approach,especially under the expertise of an experienced transplant *** approach developed by our center can serve as a valuable reference for other transplantation centers.

BACKGROUND Currently,there is no standard adjuvant therapy for patients with resected ampulla of Vater(AoV)*** To evaluate the effectiveness of adjuvant concurrent chemoradiotherapy(CCRT)in patients with advanced AoV cancer who underwent curative *** This single-centered,retrospective study included 29 patients with advanced AoV cancer who underwent pancreaticoduodenectomy between 2006 and *** impact of CCRT on advanced AoV cancer was *** The 1-,3-,and 5-yr recurrence-free survival(RFS)rates for patients with advanced AoV cancer were 82.8%,48.3%,and 40.8%,respectively,and the overall survival(OS)rates were 89.7%,62.1%,and 51.7%,***-cular invasion was found to be a significant risk factor for RFS and OS in patients with advanced AoV cancer in the univariate analysis,whereas T stage and lymph node metastasis were significantly associated with OS in the multivariate *** to the patients who did not receive adjuvant CCRT,those who received adjuvant CCRT did not show statistically significant improvements in the RFS and OS,although they had a significantly lower average age and significantly higher platelet-to-lymphocyte *** Adjuvant CCRT did not improve survival outcomes in patients with advanced AoV *** findings contribute to existing knowledge on the effectiveness of CCRT in this patient population and provide important insights for clinical decision-making.

Maillard reaction affecting immunobinding activity and digestibility of tropomyosin in Alectryonella plicatula food matrix

In recent years,the allergy rate of oysters has surged,and daily food processing methods make it hard to reduce heat resistance and digestive allergy such as tropomyosin(TM).In this study,the Maillard reaction with xylose significantly reduced the IgE binding capacity of Alectryonella plicatula food matrix(AFM),that reduced by(77.81±2.68)%.The study found the Maillard reaction changes the structure of the AFM,in which the content ofα-helix decreased by(24.64±1.46)%.Structural transformation further explains why the Maillard reaction alters the immunobinding activity of *** addition,the Maillard reaction reduces the digestive stability of the AFM and makes TM in the *** food matrix Maillard reaction products(AFM-MRPs)more easily *** on the above research,10 amino acids on the 7 IgE epitopes of TM were *** result indicates that the Maillard reaction reduces the immunobinding activity of the AFM by changing the structure and modifying the amino acids on the epitope.
