It is thought that there are many unregulated anthropogenic chemicals in the environment.For risk assessment of chemicals, it is essential to estimate the predicted environmental concentrations. As an effort of identifying residual organic contaminants in air and water in Korea, nontarget screening using two-dimensional gas chromatography time-of-flight mass spectrometry（GC × GC-TOFMS） was conducted at 10 sites using polyurethane foam passive air sampler and at 6 sites using polydimethyl siloxane（PDMS） passive water sampler in three different seasons in 2014. More than 600 chemical peaks were identified satisfying the identification criteria in air and water samples, respectively, providing a list for further investigation. Chemical substances with reported national emission rates in2014（n = 149） were also screened for potential existence in the environment using a level Ⅱ fugacity model. Most of chemical substances classified as not detectable were not identified with detection frequency greater than 20% by nontarget screening, indicating that a simple equilibrium model has a strong potential to be used to exclude chemicals that are not likely to remain in the environment after emissions from targeted monitoring.

Binary interaction of typhoons Soulik and Cimaron in 2018—Part Ⅰ:Observational characteristics and forecast error

To understand structural changes and forecast error,a case study of binary typhoons in the western North Pacific(WNP)of 2018 was investigated using best track and reanalysis data.Soulik was generated on August 16 and Cimaron was generated on August 18,respectively.The 19 th typhoon Soulik and 20 th typhoon Cimaron co-existed from August 18 to 24 and approached each other.Soulik was located on the western side and Cimaron was located on the eastern side of the WNP.They were located approximately 1300 km from each other at 00 UTC August 22.The Soulik structure began changing around August 22 and became weak and slow,while Cimaron maintained its intensity,size,and moving speed.This observational evidence is likely caused by the binary interaction between two typhoons within a certain distance and environmental steering flow,such as the location of the North Pacific high and strong jet stream of the northern flank of the North Pacific high.Soulik was initially forecasted to make landfall and reach Seoul;however,its track changed from northward to northeastward from August 21 to 23 according to both official guidance and unified model(UM).Four global numerical weather prediction models forecasted different tracks of Soulik.UM and JGSM forecasted a northward track whereas ECMWF and GFS showed a northeastward track for 12 UTC August 21 through 12 UTC August 24.The latter models were similar to the best track.The track forecast error and spread of Soulik were larger than those of Cimaron.The mean absolute error of the maximum wind speed of Soulik was similar to the average of total typhoons in 2018.

The biosynthesis of host lipids and/or lipid droplets(LDs)has been studied extensively as a putative therapeutic target in diverse viral infections.However,directly targeting the LD lipolytic catabolism in virus-infected cells has not been widely investigated.Here,we show the linkage of the LD-associated lipase activation to the breakdown of LDs for the generation of free fatty acids(FFAs)at the late stage of diverse RNA viral infections,which represents a broad-spectrum antiviral target.Dysfunction of membrane transporter systems due to virus-induced cell injury results in intracellular malnutrition at the late stage of infection,thereby making the virus more dependent on the FFAs generated from LD storage for viral morphogenesis and as a source of energy.The replication of SARS-CoV-2 and influenza A virus(IAV),which is suppressed by the treatment with LD-associated lipases inhibitors,is rescued by supplementation with FFAs.The administration of lipase inhibitors,either individually or in a combination with virus-targeting drugs,protects mice from lethal IAV infection and mitigates severe lung lesions in SARS-CoV-2-infected hamsters.Moreover,the lipase inhibitors significantly reduce proinflammatory cytokine levels in the lungs of SARS-CoV-2-and IAV-challenged animals,a cause of a cytokine storm important for the critical infection or mortality of COVID-19 and IAV patients.In conclusion,the results reveal that lipase-mediated intracellular LD lipolysis is commonly exploited to facilitate RNA virus replication and furthermore suggest that pharmacological inhibitors of LD-associated lipases could be used to curb current COVID-19-and future pandemic outbreaks of potentially troublesome RNA virus infection in humans.

For prepare this constraints, it needs studying an auto-configuration functions that build for both visibility and flexibility based on the 4M (Man, Machine, Material, Method) group management which is supports from WSN (Wireless Sensor Network) of the open embedded device called M2M (Machine to Machine) and major functions of middleware including point manager for real-time device communication, real-time data management, Standard API (Application Program Interface) and application template management. To be application system to RMS (Reconfigurable Manufacturing System) for rapidly response from various orders and model from motor company that is beginning to establishing the mapping of manufacturing resources of 4M using WSN.

AIM:To evaluate the expression status of S-phase kinase-associated protein 2(Skp2)/cyclin-dependent kinases regulatory subunit 1(Cks1)and p27kip1,and assess the prognostic significance of Skp2/Cks1 expression with p27kip1in patients with extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.METHODS:Seventy-six patients who underwent curative resection for histologically confirmed extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma at our institution from December1994 to March 2008 were enrolled.Immunohistochemical staining for Skp2,Cks1,p27kip1,and Ki67,along with other relevant molecular biologic experiments,were performed.RESULTS:By Cox regression analyses,advanced age(>65 years),advanced AJCC tumor stage,poorly differentiated histology,and higher immunostaining intensity of Skp2 were identified as independent prognostic factors in patients with extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.Exogenous epidermal growth factor(EGF,especially 0.1-10 ng/mL)significantly increased the proliferation indices by MTT assay and the mRNA levels of Skp2/Cks1 and p27kip1in SNU-1196,SNU-1079,and SNU-245 cells.The protein levels of Skp2/Cks1(from nuclear lysates)and p27kip1(from cytosolic lysate)were also significantly increased in these cells.There were significant reductions in the protein levels of Skp2/Cks1and p27kip1(from nuclear lysate)after the treatment of LY294002.By chromatin immunoprecipitation assay,we found that E2F1 transcription factor directly binds to the promoter site of Skp2.CONCLUSION:Higher immunostaining intensity of Skp2/Cks1 was an independent prognostic factor for patients with extrahepatic cholangiocarcinoma.EGF upregulates the mRNA and protein levels of Skp2/Cks1and p27kip1via the PI3K/Akt pathway and direct binding of E2F1 transcription factor with the Skp2 promoter.

In this article, we have attempted to analyze current situation and the problem of domestic and overseas harbor container delivery & cargo work automation centered on major harbors and to suggest effective way to deal with the issue in order to improve the productivity of container cargo work per crane, the major index of productivity of high value-added shipbuilding industry. In particular, we have suggested the way to realize effective automation system that can improve the efficiency of harbor container delivery & cargo work through the development of high-tech measuring automation technology using microwave radar and applied design that have broken away from traditional automation system and traditional problems such as dependence on manual work and the problem of laser method in which workers cannot identify laser beam under sunlight and workers’ eyesight can be weakened by being exposed to laser beam.

BACKGROUND The incidence of colorectal cancer(CRC)and preinvasive CRC(e.g.,early colon cancer and advanced adenoma)is gradually increasing in several countries.AIM To evaluate the trend in incidence of CRC and preinvasive CRC according to the increase in the number of colonoscopies performed in Korea.METHODS This retrospective cohort study enrolled Korean patients from 2002 to 2020 to evaluate the incidence of CRC and preinvasive CRC,and assess the numbers of diagnostic colonoscopies and colonoscopic polypectomies.Colonoscopy-related complications by age group were also determined.RESULTS The incidence of CRC showed a rapid increase,then decreased after 2012 in the 50-75 year-age group.During the study period,the rate of incidence of preinvasive CRC increased at a similar level in patients under 50 and 50-75 years of age.Since 2009,the increase has been rapid,showing a pattern similar to the increase in colonoscopies.The rate of colonoscopic polypectomy in patients aged under 50 was similar to the rate in patients over 75 years of age after 2007.The rate of complications after colonoscopy and related deaths within 3 mo was high for those over 75 years of age.CONCLUSION The diagnosis of preinvasive CRC increased with the increase in the number of colonoscopies performed.As the risk of colonoscopy-related hospitalization and death is high in the elderly,if early lesions at risk of developing CRC are diagnosed and treated under or at the age of 75,colonoscopy-related complications can be reduced for those aged 76 years or over.

Lignocellulosic nanofibers(LCNFs),implying lignin-containing cellulose fibers,maintain the prop-erties of both lignin and cellulose,which are hydrophobic and hydrophilic,respectively.The pres-ence of hydrophobic lignin in LCNFs is expected to be an economical and attractive option that can improve the thermal and mechanical properties of polymers.Thus,this study was conducted to produce lignin-rich LCNFs from sugar-rich waste obtained from rice husks after acidic pretreat-ment.The LCNFs were produced from the lignin-rich solid fractions obtained after pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis,which were then incorporated as an additive into a chitosan-based film.The variations in lignin content in the range of approximately 50.6%-66.8%in differently obtained LCNFs gave significantly different optical strengths and mechanical properties.These controllable processes may allow for customized film formation.Additionally,the glucose-rich liquid fractions obtained after pretreatment and enzymatic hydrolysis were used as a substrate for ethanol fermentation to achieve total utilization of rice husk biomass waste.In conclusion,the lignin-rich biomass fraction holds promise as a suitable material for chitosan-LCNF film and has the potential to increase the economic feasibility of the biomaterial industry.

Dragonfly Interaction Algorithm for Optimization of Queuing Delay in Industrial Wireless Networks

In industrial wireless networks,data transmitted from source to destination are highly repetitive.This often leads to the queuing of the data,and poor management of the queued data results in excessive delays,increased energy consumption,and packet loss.Therefore,a nature-inspired-based Dragonfly Interaction Optimization Algorithm(DMOA)is proposed for optimization of the queue delay in industrial wireless networks.The term“interaction”herein used is the characterization of the“flying movement”of the dragonfly towards damselflies(female dragonflies)for mating.As a result,interaction is represented as the flow of transmitted data packets,or traffic,from the source to the base station.This includes each and every feature of dragonfly movement as well as awareness of the rival dragonflies,predators,and damselflies for the desired optimization of the queue delay.These features are juxtaposed as noise and interference,which are further used in the calculation of industrial wireless metrics:latency,error rate(reliability),throughput,energy efficiency,and fairness for the optimization of the queue delay.Statistical analysis,convergence analysis,the Wilcoxon test,the Friedman test,and the classical as well as the 2014 IEEE Congress of Evolutionary Computation(CEC)on the benchmark functions are also used for the evaluation of DMOA in terms of its robustness and efficiency.The results demonstrate the robustness of the proposed algorithm for both classical and benchmarking functions of the IEEE CEC 2014.Furthermore,the accuracy and efficacy of DMOA were demonstrated by means of the convergence rate,Wilcoxon testing,and ANOVA.Moreover,fairness using Jain’s index in queue delay optimization in terms of throughput and latency,along with computational complexity,is also evaluated and compared with other algorithms.Simulation results show that DMOA exceeds other bio-inspired optimization algorithms in terms of fairness in queue delay management and average packet loss.The proposed algorithm is also evaluated for the conflicting o
