Evidence for reversible oxygen ion movement during electrical pulsing:enabler of emerging ferroelectricity in binary oxides

Ferroelectric HfO_(2)-based materials and devices show promising potential for applications in information technology but face challenges with inadequate electrostatic control,degraded reliability,and serious variation in effective oxide thickness *** demonstrate a novel interface-type switching strategy to realize ferroelectric characteristics in atomic-scale amorphous binary oxide films,which are formed in oxygen-deficient conditions by atomic layer deposition at low *** approach can avoid the shortcomings of reliability degradation and gate leakage increment in scaling polycrystalline doped HfO_(2)-based *** theoretical modeling and experimental characterization,we show the following.(1)Emerging ferroelectricity exists in ultrathin oxide systems as a result of microscopic ion migration during the switching process.(2)These ferroelectric binary oxide films are governed by an interface-limited switching mechanism,which can be attributed to oxygen vacancy migration and surface defects related to electron(de)trapping.(3)Transistors featuring ultrathin amorphous dielectrics,used for non-volatile memory applications with an operating voltage reduced to±1 V,have also been experimentally *** findings suggest that this strategy is a promising approach to realizing next-generation complementary metal-oxide semiconductors with scalable ferroelectric materials.

Rehabilitation Effect of Systematic Exercise on Breast Cancer Patients after Adjuvant Chemotherapy

OBJECTIVE To investigate the rehabilitation e. ect of systematic exercise on breast cancer patients a er adjuvant *** One hundred and ten subjects were randomly divided into 2 groups. The patients in the control group received original exercise. The others in the intervention group received systematic exercise including aerobics and 24 postures of Taichi for 4 months besides the original *** After the systematic exercise, the limb muscle strength, maximal oxygen uptake and lung capacity of the patients in intervention group were increased compared with those before the systematic exercise （P 〈 0.05）. The lung capacity of patients in the intervention group was signifi cantly increased than the control group after the exercise （P 〈 0.05）. The body mass index （BMI）,the ratio of waist and hip （WHR） of the patients in intervention group were decreased compared with those before the systematic exercise （P 〈 0.05）. The bone mineral density of control group was decreased comparing with pre-exercise （P 〈 0.05）, but there was no signifi cant di. erence in the intervention group between pre-exercise and pro-exercise （P 〉 0.05）. There was no significant dierence in the quality of life between the 2 groups a er the systematic exercise （P 〉 0.05）.CONCLUSION Systematic exercise can not only promote the restoration of limb function in patients with breast cancer after treatments, but also improve pulmonary function of the patients and lower the BMI and WHR of the patients. Systematic exercisecan improve the outcomes of overall rehabilitation.

Current therapeutic approaches for volumetric muscle loss(VML)face challenges due to limited graft availability and insufficient *** overcome these limitations,tissue-engineered scaffolds have emerged as a promising *** this study,we developed aligned ternary nanofibrous matrices comprised of poly(lactide-co-ε-caprolactone)integrated with collagen and Ti_(3)C_(2)T_(x)MXene nanoparticles(NPs)(PCM matrices),and explored their myogenic potential for skeletal muscle tissue *** PCM matrices demonstrated favorable physicochemical properties,including structural uniformity,alignment,microporosity,and *** vitro assays revealed that the PCM matrices promoted cellular behaviors and myogenic differentiation of C2C12 ***,in vivo experiments demonstrated enhanced muscle remodeling and recovery in mice treated with PCM matrices following VML *** insights from next-generation sequencing revealed that MXene NPs facilitated protein and ion availability within PCM matrices,leading to elevated intracellular Ca^(2+)levels in myoblasts through the activation of inducible nitric oxide synthase(i NOS)and serum/glucocorticoid regulated kinase 1(SGK1),ultimately promoting myogenic differentiation via the m TOR-AKT ***,upregulated i NOS and increased NO–contributed to myoblast proliferation and fiber fusion,thereby facilitating overall myoblast *** findings underscore the potential of MXene NPs loaded within highly aligned matrices as therapeutic agents to promote skeletal muscle tissue recovery.

Tailoring the austenite characteristics via dual nanoparticles to synergistically optimize the strength-ductility in cold rolled medium Mn steel

In this work,we proposed a novel Cu/θdual nanoparticles strategy to tailor the austenite characteris-tics of a medium Mn steel via a tempering-annealing process to optimize the mechanical *** explored the effects of Cu-rich particles and cementite precipitated in the tempering process on the austenite reversion during the subsequent annealing *** experiments and numerical simula-tions verified that the austenite inherited from cementite had a finer size and a higher Mn enrichment compared with the austenite originating from the tempered martensite *** addition,quantitative evaluations revealed that the pinning effect exerted by the Cu-rich particles could significantly hinder theα/γinterface migration and the recrystallized grain growth,thereby further refining the final *** contributions from the effects of dual nanoprecipitates on the austenite reversion,the heterogeneous austenite grains inherited from varying nucleation sites ensured the sustained and gradual deformation-induced martensite and twinning ***,the Cu-added steels subjected to a tempering-annealing process achieved synergetic enhancement of the tensile strength from 1055 MPa to 1250 MPa and elongation from 33%to 45%.This strategy may provide new guidance for the development and alloy design of high-performance medium Mn steels.

Rapid Energy Exchange between In Situ Formed Bromine Vacancies and CO_(2)Molecules Enhances CO_(2)Photoreduction

Photocatalytic reduction of CO_(2)into fuels provides a prospective tactic for regulating the global carbon balance utilizing renewable solar ***,CO_(2)molecules are difficult to activate and reduce due to the thermodynamic stability and chemical *** this work,we develop a novel strategy to promote the adsorption and activation of CO_(2)molecules via the rapid energy exchange between the photoinduced Br vacancies and CO_(2)*** in situ continuous wave-electron paramagnetic resonance(cw-EPR)and pulsed EPR technologies,we observe that the spin-spin relaxation time(T_(2))of BiOBr is decreased by 198 ns during the CO_(2)photoreduction reaction,which is further confirmed by the broadened EPR *** result reveals that there is an energy exchange interaction between in situ formed Br vacancies and CO_(2)molecules,which promotes the formation of high-energy CO_(2)molecules to facilitate the subsequent reduction *** addition,theoretical calculations indicate that the bended CO_(2)adsorption configuration on the surface of BiOBr with Br vacancies caused the decrease of the lowest unoccupied molecular orbital of the CO_(2)molecule,which makes it easier for CO_(2)molecules to acquire electrons and get *** situ diffuse reflectance infrared Fourier transform spectroscopy further shows that the activated CO_(2)molecules are favorably converted to key intermediates of COOH*,resulting in a CO generation rate of 9.1μmol g^(-1)h^(-1)and a selectivity of 100%.This study elucidates the underlying mechanism of CO_(2)activation at active sites and deepens the understanding of CO_(2)photoreduction reaction.

Olefin polymerization is one of the most im portant chemical reactions in *** work presents a strategy that emphasizes the synergistic meta/poro-steric hindrance of N-aryl groups and electronic effects in newly synthesized neutral salicylaldiminato nickel *** nickel(Ⅱ)catalysts exhibit exceptional thermostability,ranging from 30℃to 130℃,demonstrating enhanced catalytic activities and broadly regulated polyethylene molecular weights(3-341 kg·mol^(-1))and controlled polymer branch density(2-102 brs/1000C).The preferred catalyst Ni3 with concerted steric and electronic effects enables the production of solid-state semi-crystalline polyethylene materials at temperatures below 90℃.Notably,Ni3 exhibits an impressive tolerance of 110℃and can withstand even the challenging polymerization temperature of 130℃,leading to the production of polyethylene wax and ***,functionalized polyethylene is produced.

Clinical efficacy of Gamma Knife® combined with transarterial chemoembolization and immunotherapy in the treatment of primary liver cancer

BACKGROUND This study was designed to investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of Gamma Knife®combined with transarterial chemoembolization(TACE)and immunotherapy in the treatment of primary liver *** To investigate the clinical efficacy and safety of Gamma Knife®combined with TACE and immune-targeted therapy in the treatment of primary liver *** Clinical data from 51 patients with primary liver cancer admitted to our hospital between May 2018 and October 2022 were retrospectively *** patients underwent Gamma Knife®treatment combined with TACE and *** clinical efficacy,changes in liver function,overall survival(OS),and progression-free survival(PFS)of patients with different treatment responses were evaluated,and adverse reactions were *** The last follow-up for this study was conducted on October 31,*** evaluation of the 51 patients with primary liver cancer revealed a partial response(PR)in 27 patients,accounting for 52.94%(27/51);stable disease(SD)in 16 patients,accounting for 31.37%(16/51);and progressive disease(PD)in 8 patients,accounting for 15.69%(8/51).The objective response rate was 52.94%,and the disease control rate was 84.31%.Alanine aminotransferase,aspartate aminotransferase,lactate dehydrogenase,and alpha-fetoprotein isoform levels decreased after treatment compared with pretreatment(all P=0.000).The median OS was 26 months[95%confidence interval(95%CI):19.946-32.054]in the PR group and 19 months(95%CI:14.156-23.125)in the SD+PD group,with a statistically significant difference(P=0.015).The median PFS was 20 months(95%CI:18.441-34.559)in the PR group and 12 months(95%CI:8.745-13.425)in the SD+PD group,with a statistically significant difference(P=0.002).Common adverse reactions during treatment included nausea and vomiting(39.22%),thrombocytopenia(27.45%),and leukopenia(25.49%),with no treatment-related deaths *** Gamma Knife®combined with TACE and immune-targeted th

Understanding the structural origin of the competition between oxygen 2p and transition-metal 3d orbitals in oxygen-redox(OR)layered oxides is eminently desirable for exploring reversible and high-energy-density Li/Na-ion ***,we reveal the correlation between cationic ordering transition and OR degradation in ribbon-ordered P3-Na_(0.6)Li_(0.2)Mn_(0.8)O_(2) via in situ structural *** two different voltage windows,the OR capacity can be improved approximately twofold when suppressing the in-plane cationic ordering *** find that the intralayer cationic migration is promoted by electrochemical reduction from Mn^(4+)to Jahn–Teller Mn^(3+)and the concomitant NaO_(6) stacking transformation from triangular prisms to octahedra,resulting in the loss of ribbon ordering and electrochemical ***-principles calculations reveal that Mn^(4+)/Mn^(3+)charge ordering and alignment of the degenerate eg orbital induce lattice-level collective Jahn–Teller distortion,which favors intralayer Mn-ion migration and thereby accelerates OR *** findings unravel the relationship between in-plane cationic ordering and OR reversibility and highlight the importance of superstructure protection for the rational design of reversible OR-active layered oxide cathodes.

The launch dynamics theory for multibody systems emerges as an innovative and efficacious approach for the study of launch dynamics,capable of addressing the challenges of complex modeling,diminished computational efficiency,and imprecise analyses of system dynamic responses found in the dynamics research of intricate multi-rigid-flexible body systems,such as self-propelled *** advancement aims to enhance the firing accuracy and launch safety of self-propelled *** the shortfall of overlooking the band engraving process in existing theories,this study introduces a novel coupling calculation methodology for the launch dynamics of a self-propelled artillery multibody *** method leverages the ABAQUS subroutine interface VUAMP to compute the dynamic response of the projectile and barrel during the launch process of large-caliber self-propelled ***,it examines the changes in projectile resistance and band deformation in relation to projectile motion throughout the band engraving *** analysis of the computational outcomes with experimental data evidences that the proposed method offers a more precise depiction of the launch process of self-propelled artillery,thereby enhancing the accuracy of launch dynamics calculations for self-propelled artillery.
