Preparation and characterization of high-reactivity explosive-based nano-boron microspheres

Boron nanoparticles, with their remarkably high gravimetric and volumetric calorific values, emerge as the most promising fuel in energetic fields. However, challenges such as susceptibility to oxidation, high ignition temperature, and low combustion efficiency have constrained their further applications. In this study, we fabricated high explosives based nano-boron microspheres with uniform size using the electrostatic spray method, in which the boron nanoparticles and high explosives (CL-20 or PETN) are closely bonded together by fluorinated polymer (F-2602) and evenly distributed. The results indicated that the microspheres exhibited high sphericity and showed an enhanced antioxidant capability. The addition of high-energy explosives not only reduced the thermal oxidation temperature of nano-boron powder within the microspheres but also significantly enhanced the pressurization rate. Additionally, the microspheres with added high-energy explosives released more energy during the combustion process. Compared to physically mixed samples, electrostatically sprayed microspheres with a uniform microstructure still exhibited higher reactivity. Therefore, the design and synthesis of microspheres with controllable structures using the electrostatic spray method show promising application prospects. Impact craters are formed due to the high-speed collisions between small to medium-sized celestial *** is the most significant driving force in the evolution of celestial bodies,and the impact craters provide crucial insights into the formation,evolution,and impact history of celestial *** this paper,we present a detailed review of the characteristics of impact craters,impact crater remote sensing data,recognition algorithms,and applications related to impact *** first provide a detailed description of the geometric texture,illumination,and morphology characteristics observed in remote sensing data of *** we summarize the remote sensing data and cataloging databases for the four terrestrial planets(i.e.,the Moon,Mars,Mercury,and Venus),as well as the impact craters on ***,we study the advancement achieved in the traditional methods,machine learning methods,and deep learning methods applied to the classification,segmentation,and recognition of impact ***,based on the analysis results,we discuss the existing challenges in impact crater recognition and suggest some ***,we explore the implementation of impact crater detection algorithms and provide a forward-looking perspective.

The Li-and Mn-rich layered oxides(R-LNCM)are considered as promising cathode materials for high-energy density lithium-ion batteries(LIBs).However,the interface side reaction aggravates the voltage and capacity fading between cathode material and electrolyte at high voltage,which severely hinders the practical application of LIB ***,lithium polyacrylate(LiPAA)as the binder and coating agent is applied to suppress the voltage and capacity fading of R-LNCM *** flexible LiPAA layers with high elasticity are capable of impeding cathode cracks on the particle surface via mechanical stress ***,superior voltage and capacity fading suppression on R-LNCM electrode is finally *** a result,LiPAA-R-LNCM cathode exhibits a remarkable specific capacity of 186 mA·h·g^(-1)with~73%retention at 1℃after ***,the corresponding average discharge potential is maintained to~3.1 V with only~0.4 V falling.

Rechargeable sodium-ion batteries usually suffer from accelerated electrode destruction at high temperatures and high synthesis costs of electrode ***,it is highly desirable to explore novel organic electrodes considering their cost-effectiveness and large adaptability to volume ***,natural biomass,pristine lignin,is employed as the sodium-ion battery anodes,and their sodium storage performance is investigated at room temperature and 60℃.The lignin anodes exhibit excellent high-temperature sodium-ion battery *** mainly results from the generation of abundant reactive sites(C=O)due to the high temperature-induced homogeneous cleavage of the C_(β)-O bond in the lignin *** work can inspire researchers to explore other natural organic materials for large-scale applications and high-value utilization in advanced energy storage devices.

BACKGROUND Integrating conventional ultrasound features with 2D shear wave elastography(2D-SWE)can potentially enhance preoperative hepatocellular carcinoma(HCC)*** To develop a 2D-SWE-based predictive model for preoperative identification of *** A retrospective analysis of 884 patients who underwent liver resection and pathology evaluation from February 2021 to August 2023 was conducted at the Oriental Hepatobiliary Surgery *** patients were divided into the modeling group(n=720)and the control group(n=164).The study included conventional ultrasound,2D-SWE,and preoperative laboratory *** logistic regression was used to identify independent predictive factors for RESULTS In the modeling group analysis,maximal elasticity(Emax)of tumors and their peripheries,platelet count,cirrhosis,and blood flow were independent risk indicators for *** factors yielded an area under the curve of 0.77(95%confidence interval:0.73-0.81)with 84%sensitivity and 61%*** model demonstrated good calibration in both the construction and validation cohorts,as shown by the calibration graph and Hosmer-Lemeshow test(P=0.683 and P=0.658,respectively).Additionally,the mean elasticity(Emean)of the tumor periphery was identified as a risk factor for microvascular invasion(MVI)in malignant liver tumors(P=0.003).Patients receiving antiviral treatment differed significantly in platelet count(P=0.002),Emax of tumors(P=0.033),Emean of tumors(P=0.042),Emax at tumor periphery(P<0.001),and Emean at tumor periphery(P=0.003).CONCLUSION 2D-SWE’s hardness value serves as a valuable marker for enhancing the preoperative diagnosis of malignant liver lesions,correlating significantly with MVI and antiviral treatment efficacy.

Microseismic source location is crucial for the early warning of rockburst ***,the conventional methods face challenges in terms of the microseismic wave velocity and arrival time *** techniques,such as the full convolutional neural network(FCNN),can capture spatial information but struggle with complex microseismic *** the FCNN with the long shortterm memory(LSTM)network enables better time-series signal classification by integrating multiscale information and is therefore suitable for waveform *** LSTM-FCNN model does not require extensive data preprocessing and it simplifies the microseismic source location through feature *** this study,we utilized the LSTM-FCNN as a regression learning model to locate the seismic ***,the method of short-time-average/long-time-average(STA/LTA)arrival time picking was employed to augment spatiotemporal ***,oversampling the on-site data was performed to address the issue of data imbalance,and finally,the performance of LSTM-FCNN was ***,we compared the LSTM-FCNN model with previous deep-learning *** results demonstrated remarkable location capabilities with a mean absolute error(MAE)of only 7.16 *** model can realize swift training and high accuracy,thereby significantly improving risk warning of rockbursts.
