Atrial fibrillation(AF)is a major public health problem and poses a substantial economic burden on healthcare systems worldwide.[1-4]The emergency department(ED)serves as the first point of contact with the healthcare system and plays a key role in the management of patients with AF,which accounts for 3%-10%of all hospital admissions.[5]Treatment plans are often discussed and initiated at the ED.

Background and objectives:Polymerase chain reaction(PCR)techniques provide rapid detection of *** pilot study evaluated the diagnostic utility and clinical impact of multiplex real-time PCR(mRT-PCR,SeptiFast)*** microbial culture(CMC)in bile samples of patients with chronic cholestatic liver diseases(cCLDs),endoscopic retrograde cholangio-pancreatography(ERCP),and peri-interventional-antimicrobial-prophylaxis(pAP).Methods:We prospectively collected bile samples from 26 patients for microbiological analysis by CMC and *** of the results of both methods was determined by Krippendorff's alpha(α)for inter-rater reliability and the Jaccard index of ***:mRT-PCR_(bile)and CMC_(bile)results were concordant for only Candida albicans(α=0.8406;Jaccard index=0.8181).mRT-PCR_(bile)detected pathogens in 8/8 cases(100%),CMC_(bile)in 7/8(87.5%),and CMCblood in 5/8(62.5%)with clinical signs of ***_(bile),CMC_(bile),and CMCblood had identical detection results in 3/8(37.5%)with clinical signs of infection(two Klebsiella *** one Enterococcus faecium).The total pathogen count was significantly higher with mRT-PCR_(bile)than with CMC_(bile)(62 vs.31;χ^(2)=30.031,pnefit infection management in patients with cholestatic *** of mRT-PCR in a bile sample-based diagnostic routine can support more rapid and targeted use of antimicrobial agents in cCLD-patients undergoing ERCP and reduce the rate/length of unnecessary administration of broad-spectrum antibiotics.

The strong growth of renewable energy sources as well as the increasing amount of volatile energy consumptionis leading to major challenges in the electrical grid. In order to ensure safety and reliability in the electricitygrid, a high quality of power flow forecasts for the next few hours are needed. In this paper we investigateforecasts of the vertical power flow at transformer between the medium and high voltage grid. Forecastingthe vertical power flow is challenging due to constantly changing characteristics of the power flow at thetransformer. We present a novel approach to deal with these challenges. For the multi step time series forecastsa Long-Short Term Memory (LSTM) is used. In our presented approach an update process where the model isretrained regularly is investigated and compared to baseline models. The model is retrained as soon as asufficient amount of new measurements are available. We show that this retraining mostly captures changesin the characteristic of the transformer that the model has not yet seen in the past and therefore cannot bepredicted by the model without an update process. To give more weight to recent data, we examined differentstrategies in terms of the number of epochs and the learning rate. We show that our new approach significantlyoutperforms the investigated baseline models. On average, we achieved an improvement of about 8% with theregular update process compared to the approach without update process.

In the past,glass fiber-reinforced polymer(GFRP)-reinforcement has been successfully applied in reinforced concrete(RC)structures where corrosion resistance,electromagnetic neutrality,or cuttability were *** investigations suggest that the application of GFRP in RC structures could be advantageous in areas with seismic activity due to their high deformability and ***,especially the low modulus of elasticity of GFRP limited its wide application as GFRP-reinforced members usually exhibit considerably larger deformations under service loads than comparable steel-reinforced *** overcome the aforementioned issues,the combination of steel and GFRP reinforcement in hybrid RC sections has been investigated in the *** on this idea,this paper presents a novel concept for the predetermination of potential plastic hinges in RC frames using GFRP *** analyze the efficiency of the concept,nonlinear finite element simulations were *** results underscore the high efficiency of hybrid steel-GFRP RC sections for predetermining potential plastic hinges on RC *** results also indicate that the overall seismic behavior of RC structures could be improved by means of GFRP as both the column base shear force during the seismic activity as well as the plastic deformations after the earthquake were considerably less pronounced than in the steel-reinforced reference structure.

The Kashmir earthquake 2005 （magnitude MW 7.6） triggered thousands of mass move-ments in northern Pakistan. These mass movements were mainly rock falls, debris falls, rockslides and rock avalanches. The mass movements vary in size from a few hundred cubic meters up to about 100 million cubic meters estimated for the Hattian Bala rock avalanche, the biggest one associated with this earthquake. This mass movement, which moved in southeastern direction, created two natural dams on the valley bottom and blocked the water ways of the Karli and Tung tributaries of the Jhelum River. Topographic, lithologic and structural information were used to investigate the Hattian Bala rock ava-lanche. Geotechnical and structural maps were prepared to understand relationship between geology and structure of Hattian Bala rock avalanche. The geometry and failure mode of this rock avalanche are controlled by southeast plunging synclinal structures, lithology, a bedding parallel slip surface and a pre-existing old rockslide. The structural map shows that the mass movement failure was due to Danna and Dandbeh synclinal structures plunging southeast on the hanging wall block of the reacti-vated Muzaffarabad fault. The slip surface of the mass movement followed the bedding planes along mudstone, claystone and sandstone surfaces. The mass movement perfectly followed the pre-existing synclinal morphology of the Danna and Dandbeh synclines.

This research paper is about investigating the mechanisms of elastomeric friction at low velocities. To do so, different experimental setups were performed to analyze friction, adhesion and surface energy among others. The tested materials were EPDM samples with variations in the carbon black content. It was found, that at least for low velocities, the real contact area has the main impact on the friction of elastomers. This contact area seems to be highly influenced by the hardness or other bulk properties of the elastomers, which are modified by the varying carbon black content.

HIV-1在中国地区的流行传播导致中国特有的HIV-1毒株的形成,因而我们推测在中国HIV-1毒株的基因组序列会找到相应的特有模式。利用规则推断的机器学习算法我们确实从HIV-1 gp120 V3区提取出14个特有模式区分中国毒株序列和非中国序列,准确率高达89%。而发现的这些模式主要表现亚型特异性。例如,模式1呈现B亚型特异,模式2则涵盖绝大多数01-AE亚型序列等。继而深度挖掘发现V3区两个位点氨基酸L和W的模式特点能极好区别中国序列B/B(3%假阳性)。系统发生方法确定的中国和非中国地区HIV序列的分簇和该模式非常吻合。我们不能排除或肯定该模式的形成是因免疫逃逸的选择导致的。为进一步解释该模式,我们利用共同信息方法检测发现V2和V3区的物理学相互作用。最后我们讨论了该模式识别方法应用到其他基因组区段和其他地区的可行性和局限性。

Ternary absorber blends have recently been identified as promising concepts to spectrally broaden the absorption of organic bulkheterojunction solar cells and hence to improve their power conversion *** this work,we demonstrate that D-D-A ternary blends comprising two donor polymers and the acceptor PC61BM can also significantly enhance the thermal stability of the solar *** harsh thermal stress at 120°C for 2 h,the ternary solar cells show only a minor relative deterioration of 10%.Whereas the polymer/fullerene blend PTB7-Th:PC61BM is rather unstable under these conditions,its degradation was efficiently suppressed by incorporating the near infrared-absorbing polymer PDTP–*** ellipsometry investigations and an effective medium analysis of the ternary absorber blend revealed that the domain conformation in presence of PDTP–DFBT remains stable whereas the domain conformation changes in its *** ternary PTB7-Th:PDTP–DFBT:PC61BM solar cells yield thermally stable power conversion efficiencies of up to 6%.
