The purpose of the study was to evaluate the sperm.viability of sem.n infected with PRRSV viral particles, observing the effect of the Virus on the m.tility of boar sperm. The work was carried out at the Fm.Z-BUAP Genetics and Reproduction Laboratory. 5 stallions were used. Each sam.le contained 1 × 106 sperm. the PRRS virus strain was ATCC-VR-2332 (0, 102, 104 and 106 copies of RNA/m. in triplicate), it was observed daily at the CASA;Ham.lton Thorne®. Cells with m. (P m. between control and virus concentrations (P ≥ 0.05). The LCV on day 1 and 7 PI at 10X2 and 10X6 (P m.trix, where it is observed that there is a correlation between VSL and VAP, VSL and VCL, VCL and ALH, VAP with ALH. There is a correlation of VSL and ALH, STR and ALH. In this study there were (P ≤ 0.01) in the VCL, in the concentrations (102) 162.81 ± 10.65 and (106) 177.12 ± 5.77 vs 193.04 ± 4.62 of control. This indicates that altering these param.ters would be related to fertility and the PRRS virus affects the LCV. Regarding the VSL, it was observed that the sperm.infected with viruses 102, 104 and 106 of 48.00 ± 3.38, 49.88 ± 1.83 and 50.55 ± 2.24 Vs. 56.66 ± 1.68 of control respectively, the control would have greater possibilities of fertilizing the oocyte. In this study, it was found (P ≤ 0.01) in the VAP with 102 of 77.26 ± 5.16, 104 with 83.35 ± 2.41 and 106 with 81.29 ± 3.14 vs the control with 90.56 ± 2.07. Regarding the ALH there is (P 4 with 8.70 ± .26 and 106 with 9.64 ± 0.23 vs control 8.50 ± 0.27. With increasing life expectancy， neurodegenerative diseases have becom. one of the leading causes of ill-health in the elderly. Preventive strategies include following healthy diets， such as the m.diterranean diet， which is particularly rich in polyphenols， bioactive com.ounds with neuroprotective properties. The aim.of this study was to assess the association of m.crobial phenolic m.tabolites (m.m. with cognition. This cross-sectional analysis was perform.d with 200 participants of the PREDIm.D trial (Barcelona-Clinic recruitm.nt center). A novel m.thod based on liquid chrom.tography coupled to m.ss spectrom.try was used to identify urinary m.m.(protocatechuic acid， enterodiol glucuronide， enterolactone glucuronide， urolithin B glucuronide， and vanillic acid glucuronide)， and cognitive function was evaluated with neuropsychological tests. m.ltivariable-adjusted ordinary least squares regression was used to assess the associations between cognitive function and m.m. and a score was calculated as the weighted sum.of m.m. A higher m.m.score was associated with better frontal lobe function. Am.ng individual m.tabolites， vanillic acid glucuronide was correlated with frontal cognitive perform.nce. Participants with higher concentrations of vanillic acid glucuronide and urolithin B glucuronide obtained better scores in the Color Trail Test part 2. A higher score for urinary m.lti-m.m.was associated with better frontal cognitive perform.nce in an older m.diterranean population.

Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glasses are prom.sing m.terials for therm.m.ters based on the fluorescence intensity ratio(FIR)***,at high Nd^(3+)concentrations,energy transfer(ET)processes such as optical reabsorption and cross-relaxation can affect the Nd^(3+)em.ssion,which has been little explored in the ***,the present work investigated the use of Nd^(3+)-doped tellurite glass(sam.les doped with Nd^(3+)at 0.2 m.l%,0.5 m.l%,2.0 m.l%,and 4.0 m.l%)in fluorescence therm.m.ters,in the tem.erature range from.299 to 371 *** results indicate a strong dependence of the FIR param.ters on the Nd^(3+)concentration,due to changes in the em.ssion band profiles caused by optical reabsorption of the Nd^(3+)em.ssions and cross-relaxation processes.A decrease of the relative sensitivity of the ratio^(4)F_(5/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)/^(4)F_(3/2)→^(4)I_(9/2)is observed for sam.les doped with higher am.unts of Nd^(3+).The m.xim.m.relative sensitivity at 299 K is 3.00%/K,which is the highest value am.ng the reported Nd^(3+)ions.

Cardiovascular diseases are the m.in cause of m.rbidity and m.rtality in the world, and obesity and the m.tabolic syndrom. are risk factors for its developm.nt. One of the therapies to reduce cardiovascular risk is the use of polyunsaturated fatty acids. In Brazil, a source of such acid is the oil extracted from.the fat of the capybara. The objective of this work is to study the effects of the capybara oil on lipid and glucose m.tabolism. as well as its effects on the adipose tissue and cardiac rem.deling. We assessed the effects of capybara oil treatm.nt on body m.ss, lipid and carbohydrate m.tabolism. systolic blood pressure, adipose tissue and cardiac rem.deling, and perform.d an ultrastructural evaluation of the m.ocardium.in C57Bl/6 m.ce treated with high-fat diet. Treatm.nt with capybara oil reduced total cholesterol and triglyceride levels, systolic blood pressure, visceral and subcutaneous adipose tissue, and adipocyte diam.ter. In addition, cardiac rem.deling was attenuated, preserving cardiom.ocytes, increasing vascularization, reducing cardiom.ocyte hypertrophy and the extracellular m.trix, and preserving the m.rphological integrity of m.tochondria. Capybara oil has several beneficial effects on the cardiovascular and m.tabolic system. and further studies are needed to better understand its role in the prevention or treatm.nt of cardiovascular diseases.

The trem.ndous potential of triboelectric generators-TENGs for converting m.chanical energy into electrical energy places them.as one of the m.st prom.sing energy harvesting technologies. In this work, the fabrication of enhanced perform.nce TENGs using Ag octahedron nano-assem.lies on ITO as electrodes significantly increases the electric charge collection of the induced tribocharges. Thereby, nanostructured electrical contacts coated with Ag m.croscale nano-assem.lies with octahedral features were obtained by the electrodeposition technique on flexible PET/ITO substrates. Consequently, the nanostructured triboelectric generator-TENG exhibited 65 tim.s m.re m.xim.m.output power, and alm.st 10 tim.s m.re open circuit output voltage than that of a TENG with non-nanostructured contacts passing from.μW to m.W capabilities, which was attributed to the increm.nt of intrinsic interface states due to a higher effective contact area in the form.r. Likewise, output perform.nces of TENGs also displayed an asym.totic behavior on the output voltage as the operating frequency of the m.chanical oscillations increased, which is attributed to a decrem.nt in the internal im.edance of the device with frequency. Furtherm.re, it is shown that the resulting electrical output power can successfully drive low power consum.tion electronic devices. On that account, the present research establishes a prom.sing platform.which contributes in an original way to the developm.nt of the TENGs technology.
