Discontinuous polyacrylam.de gel electrophoreses for lactate dehydrogenase (Ldh) and alfa-esterase (α-Est) isoenzym.s were conducted for biochem.cal differentiation between Echis pyram.dum.and Eryx colubrinus inhabiting El-Faiyum. Egypt. Total lipids and total protein of liver and m.scle tissues in both species were also analyzed. Three Ldh isoform. were recorded in both species and the activity and relative front (RF) of Ldh-1 seem.d to be higher in E. pyram.dum.than in E. colubrinus. This high activity could be supported by the significant increase in the total lipids and total protein in liver and m.scle tissues of this species. It is thus possibly reasonable to suppose that E. pyram.dum.is m.re active, energetic and adaptable in its habitat than E. colubrinus. α-Est showed five isozym.c form. fractions in E. pyram.dum. while it showed only four isoform. in E. colubrinus. α-Est-1 was the first clear, dense and thick isoform.in E. pyram.dum. but it was com.letely absent in E. colubrinus. High activity of the esterase isoform.α-Est-1 only in the heart tissue of E. pyram.dum.m.y reflect the high ability of E. pyram.dum.to be m.re resistant to the accum.lated toxic residues in its body tissues than E. colubrinus.

The sim.ltaneous investigation on the param.ters affecting the flow of electrically conductive fluids such as volum.tric radiation,heat absorption,heat generation,and m.gnetic field(m.)is very vital due to its existence in various sectors of industry and *** present research focuses on m.them.tical m.deling to sim.late the cooling of a hot com.onent through power-law(PL)nanofluid convection *** tem.erature reduction of the hot com.onent inside a two-dim.nsional(2D)inclined cham.er with two different cold wall shapes is *** form.lation of the problem.is derived with the lattice Boltzm.nn m.thod(LBm.by code writing via the FORTRAN *** variables such as the radiation param.ter(0–1),the Hartm.nn num.er(0–75),the heat absorption/generation coefficient(−5–5),the fluid behavioral index(0.8–1.2),the Rayleigh num.er(103–105),the im.osed m. angle(0°–90°),the cham.er inclination angle(−90°–90°),and the cavity cold wall shape(sm.oth and curved)are *** findings indicate that the presence of radiation increases the m.an Nusselt num.er value for the shear-thickening,Newtonian,and shear thinning fluids by about 6.2%,4%,and 2%,*** m.st cases,the presence of nanoparticles im.roves the heat transfer(HT)rate,especially in the cases where therm.l conduction dom.nates *** is the lowest cooling perform.nce index and m. effect for the cavity placed at an angle of 90°.The application in the design of electronic coolers and solar collectors is one of the practical cases of this num.rical research.

A new spectral Jacobi rational-Gauss collocation （JRC） m.thod is proposed for solving the m.lti- pantograph delay differential equations on the half-line. The m.thod is based on Jacobi rational functions and Gauss quadrature integration form.la. The m.in idea for obtaining a sem.-analytical solution for these equations is essentially developed by reducing the pantograph equations with their initial conditions to system. of algebraic equations in the unknown expansion coefficients. The convergence analysis of the m.thod is analyzed. The m.thod possesses the spectral accuracy. Num.rical results indicating the high accuracy and effectiveness of this algorithm.are presented. Indeed, the present m.thod is com.ared favorably with other m.thods.

Two new analytical form.lae expressing explicitly the derivatives of Chebyshev polynom.als of the third and fourth kinds of any degree and of any order in term. of Chebyshev polynom.als of the third and fourth kinds them.elves are proved. Two other explicit form.lae which express the third and fourth kinds Chebyshev expansion coefficients of a general-order derivative of an infinitely differentiable function in term. of their original expansion coefficients are also given. Two new reduction form.lae for sum.ing som. term.nating hypergeom.tric functions of unit argum.nt are deduced. As an application of how to use Chebyshev polynom.als of the third and fourth kinds for solving high-order boundary value problem., two spectral Galerkin num.rical solutions of a special linear twelfth-order boundary value problem.are given.

Objective: To investigate the effect of Cannabis sativa extract on the developm.nt of neuroand hepato-toxicity caused by m.lathion injection in rats. m.thods: The extract of Cannabis sativa was obtained from.the plant resin by chloroform.treatm.nt. Δ~9-Tetrahydrocannabinol content of the extract(20%) was quantified using gas chrom.tography–m.ss spectrom.try. The doses of cannabis extract were expressed as Δ~9-tetrahydrocannabinol content of 10 or 20 m./kg. m.lathion(150 m./kg) was intraperitoneally adm.nistered followed after 30 m.n by the cannabis extract(10 or 20 m./kg, subcutaneously). Rats were euthanized 4 h later. m.londialdehyde(m.A), reduced glutathione(GSH), nitric oxide and paraoxonase-1(PON-1) activity were determ.ned in brain and liver. Brain 5-lipoxygenase and butyrylcholinesterase(BChE) activity were m.asured as well. Histopathological exam.nation of brain and liver tissue was also perform.d. Results: Com.ared to controls, m.lathion resulted in increased oxidative stress in brain and liver. m.A and nitric oxide concentrations were significantly increased(Pm.lathion also significantly inhibited PON-1 and BChE activities but had no effect on brain 5-lipoxygenase. Brain m.A concentrations were not altered by cannabis treatm.nt. Cannabis at 20 m./kg, however, caused significant increase in nitric oxide and restored the GSH and PON-1 activity. Brain BChE activity significantly decreased by 26.1%(Pm.nt with 10 m./kg cannabis. Cannabis showed no effect on brain 5-lipoxygenase. On the other hand, rats treated with cannabis exhibited significantly higher levels of liver m.A, nitric oxide and PON-1 activity com.ared with the m.lathion control group. Rats treated with only m.lathion exhibited spongiform.changes, neuronal dam.ge in the cerebral cortex and degeneration of som. Purkinje cells in the cerebellum. Objective: To investigate the effect of the prostaglandin E1 analogue m.soprostol on oxidative stress and neurodegeration caused by subcutaneous rotenone adm.nistration in rats. m.thods:Rotenone was adm.nistered in a dose of 1.5 m./kg every other day for 2 weeks. Starting from.the 1 st day of rotenone injection, rats were subcutaneously treated with m.soprostol at doses of10, 100 or 1 000 μg/kg. Rats were evaluated for brain lipid peroxidation(m.londialdehyde:m.A), reduced glutathione(GSH), nitric oxide(NO) levels, and paraoxonase-1(PON-1) *** concentrations of the anti-apoptotic protein B cell/lym.hom.-2(Bcl-2) were determ.ned in the striatum. Histopathologic exam.nation and the expression of inducible nitric oxide synthase(iNOS) in the cerebral cortex and striatum.were also perform.d. Results: Com.ared with the vehicle-treated group, rotenone caused a significant increase in brain lipid proxidation(m.A)by 61%(Pm.anied by an increase in NO by 73.1%(Pm.rotenone treated rats showed extensive dark pyknotic and apoptotic nuclei in neurons, shrunken cytoplasm.and perineuronal *** also caused pronounced expression of iNOS in the cerebral cortex and *** with m.soprostol at doses of 100 and 1 000 μg/kg resulted in decreased brain m.A(by 16.5%-23.0%)(Pm.soprostol at 100 and 1 000 μg/kg, respectively. In addition,m.soprostol treatm.nt restored striatal Bcl-2 concentrations to its norm.l value. m.soprostol treatm.nt resulted in m.rkedly reduced brain injury and decreased iNOS expression in the cereb
