Influenza viruses not only cause respiratory illness,but also have been reported to elicit neurological manifestations following acute viral *** central nervous system(CNS)has a specific defense mechanism against pathogens structured by cerebral microvasculature lined with brain endothelial cells to form the blood–brain barrier(BBB).To investigate the response of human brain microvascular endothelial cells(hBmECs)to the Influenza A virus(IAV),we inoculated the cells with the A/WSN/33(H1N1)*** then conducted an RNAseq experiment to determine the changes in gene expression levels and the activated disease pathways following *** analysis revealed an effective activation of the innate immune defense by inducing the pattern recognition receptors(PRRs).Along with the production of proinflammatory cytokines,we detected an upregulation of interferons and interferon-stimulated genes,such as IFN-β/λ,ISG15,CXCL11,CXCL3 and IL-6,***,infected hBmECs exhibited a disruption in the cytoskeletal structure both on the transcriptomic and cytological *** RNAseq analysis showed different pathways and candidate genes associated with the neuroactive ligand-receptor interaction,neuroinflammation,and neurodegenerative diseases,together with a predicted activation of the ***,some genes linked with the mitochondrial structure and function displayed a significantly altered *** masse,this data supports that hBmECs could be infected by the IAV,which induces the innate and inflammatory immune *** results suggest that the influenza virus infection could potentially induce a subsequent aggravation of neurological disorders.

metaheuristic optimization algorithms present an effective method for solving several optimization problems from various types of applications and *** metaheuristics and evolutionary optimization algorithms have been emerged recently in the literature and gained widespread attention,such as particle swarm optimization(PSO),whale optimization algorithm(WOA),grey wolf optimization algorithm(GWO),genetic algorithm(GA),and gravitational search algorithm(GSA).According to the literature,no one metaheuristic optimization algorithm can handle all present optimization *** novel optimization methodologies are still *** Al-Biruni earth radius(BER)search optimization algorithm is proposed in this *** proposed algorithm was motivated by the behavior of swarm members in achieving their global *** search space around local solutions to be explored is determined by Al-Biruni earth radius calculation method.A comparative analysis with existing state-of-the-art optimization algorithms corroborated the findings of BER’s validation and testing against seven mathematical optimization *** results show that BER can both explore and avoid local *** has also been tested on an engineering design optimization *** results reveal that,in terms of performance and capability,BER outperforms the performance of state-of-the-art metaheuristic optimization algorithms.

Tomato leaf diseases significantly impact crop production,necessitating early detection for sustainable *** Learning(DL)has recently shown excellent results in identifying and classifying tomato leaf ***,current DL methods often require substantial computational resources,hindering their application on resource-constrained *** propose the Deep Tomato Detection Network(DTomatoDNet),a lightweight DL-based framework comprising 19 learnable layers for efficient tomato leaf disease classification to overcome *** Convn kernels used in the proposed(DTomatoDNet)framework is 1×1,which reduces the number of parameters and helps in more detailed and descriptive feature extraction for *** proposed DTomatoDNet model is trained from scratch to determine the classification success rate.10,000 tomato leaf images(1000 images per class)from the publicly accessible dataset,covering one healthy category and nine disease categories,are utilized in training the proposed DTomatoDNet *** specifically,we classified tomato leaf images into Target Spot(TS),Early Blight(EB),Late Blight(LB),Bacterial Spot(BS),Leaf mold(Lm),Tomato Yellow Leaf Curl Virus(YLCV),Septoria Leaf Spot(SLS),Spider mites(Sm),Tomato mosaic Virus(mV),and Tomato Healthy(H).The proposed DTomatoDNet approach obtains a classification accuracy of 99.34%,demonstrating excellent accuracy in differentiating between tomato *** model could be used on mobile platforms because it is lightweight and designed with fewer *** farmers can utilize the proposed DTomatoDNet methodology to detect disease more quickly and easily once it has been integrated into mobile platforms by developing a mobile application.

BACKGROUND Irritable bowel syndrome(IBS)is a highly prevalent gastrointestinal disorder in children and adults,which increased over the past twenty *** mediterranean diet is a well-known diet full of antioxidants and anti-inflammatory *** To evaluate the safety,tolerability,and effects of adherence to the mediterranean diet on disease patterns in children and adolescents with *** This prospective,cross-sectional case-controlled study included 100 consecutive IBS patients diagnosed according to Rome IV criteria,aged 12-18 *** Group II on their regular diet for six *** IBS scores(IBS-SSS,IBS-QoL,and total score),different clinical and laboratory parameters were evaluated at the start and end of the *** The mediterranean diet was safe and well-tolerated in IBS *** children and adolescents with good adherence to the mediterranean diet(KIDmED Score≥8 points);group I showed significant improvement in IBS ***-SSS in the mediterranean diet group was 237.2±65 at the beginning of the study and decreased to 163.2±33.8 at the end of the study(Pmprovement in the group with a regular diet(248.3±71.1 at the beginning of the study compared to 228.5±54.3 at the study end with Pmean IBS-SSS in the mediterranean diet group significantly improved compared with the group with a regular *** IBS-QoL in group I improved from 57.3±12.9 at the start of the study to 72.4±11.2 at the study end(Pmproved when compared to its level in group II at the study end(59.2±12.7 with Pmprovement in IBSQoL at the study end when compared to the beginning of the study(59.2±11.7 with P>0.05).The mean total IBS score in group I became 28.8±11.2 at the end of our study compared to 24.1±10.4 at the start(Pmproved when compared to its level in group II at the end of the study(22.1±12.5 with

Detection of Salmonella typhimurium in retail chicken meat and chicken giblets

Objective:To detect Salmonella typhimurium(***),one of the most frequently isolated serovars from food borne outbreaks throughout the world,in retail raw chicken meat and ***:One hundred samples of retail raw chicken meat and giblets(Liver,heart and gizzard)which were collected from Assiut city markets for detection of the organism and by using Duplex PCR amplification of DNA using rfbj andfliC ***:*** was detected at rate of 44%,40%and 48%in chicken meat,liver and heart,respectively,but not detected in ***:The results showed high incidence of *** in the examined samples and greater emphasis should be applied on prevention and control of contamination during processing for reducing food-borne risks to consumers.

measuring the Level of Knowledge and Awareness about Scoliosis in Saudi Arabia

Background: Scoliosis is a serious condition occurring in 1% to 4% of the population. This study was conducted and designed to educate society about scoliosis and measure the knowledge and awareness about it. methods: This was a cross-sectional study conducted on members of the Saudi Society who have consented to participate in this research between the 8th of January and 5th of February 2023. Results: A total of 427 people agreed to participate in the study. The highest percentage of the participants was female 69.1%. About 41% participants out of 427 were in the age group 18-25 years. most of the participants were from the middle Region. (71.9%) of participants were unfamiliar with scoliosis, while (72.1%) had no prior knowledge of the condition. Conclusion: This study indicates insufficient awareness and knowledge about scoliosis in Saudi Arabia. Therefore, further studies are needed to raise awareness about scoliosis and help people to learn more about this condition.

One of the significant health issues affecting women that impacts their fertility and results in serious health concerns is Polycystic ovarian syndrome(PCOS).Consequently,timely screening of polycystic ovarian syndrome can help in the process of *** a method to aid doctors in this procedure was crucial due to the difficulties in detecting this *** research aimed to determine whether it is possible to optimize the detection of PCOS utilizing Deep Learning algorithms and ***,feature selection methods that produce the most important subset of features can speed up calculation and enhance the effectiveness of *** this research,the tri-stage wrapper method is used because it reduces the computation *** proposed study for the Automatic diagnosis of PCOS contains preprocessing,data normalization,feature selection,and classification.A dataset with 39 characteristics,including metabolism,neuroimaging,hormones,and biochemical information for 541 subjects,was employed in this *** start,this research pre-processed the *** for feature selection,a tri-stage wrapper method such as mutual Information,ReliefF,Chi-Square,and Xvariance is ***,various classification methods are tested and *** learning techniques including convolutional neural network(CNN),multi-layer perceptron(mLP),Recurrent neural network(RNN),and Bi long short-term memory(Bi-LSTm)are utilized for *** experimental finding demonstrates that with effective feature extraction process using tri stage wrapper method+CNN delivers the highest precision(97%),high accuracy(98.67%),and recall(89%)when compared with other machine learning algorithms.

The semi arid lands of Jordan are fragile and severely degraded due to low rainfall and mismanagement of natural *** human demands increase,sustaining the productivity of land becomes more and more *** suitability evaluation can contribute towards better land management;mitigation of land degradation;and designing land use pattern that prevents environmental problems through segregation of competing land *** analysis allows identifying the main limiting factors for the agricultural production and enables decision makers to develop crop managements able to increase the land *** purpose of this study was to develop a Geographic Information System(GIS)based approach for land use suitability assessment in order to assist land managers to identify areas with physical limitations for different land use alternatives based on research criteria developed by FAO and modified by *** study was conducted using various data and maps incorporated within(GIS)in order to derive potential suitability for different Land Utilization Types(LUTs).Land suitability mapping was developed using an innovative approach that integrates soil and climatic data for land suitability *** maps for each land use were developed to show the suitability classes and display the spatial representation of soils suitable for *** output of suitability analyses provided not only the type of land use for which the land was suitable,but also information about the type of limitation(s)facing the utilization of the *** land use alternatives(scenarios)were formulated to improve and optimize the agricultural production in the study area.

magnetic nanoparticles for environmental and biomedical applications： A review

Engineered magnetic nanoparticles （mNPs） hold great potential in environmental, biomedical, and clin- ical applications owing to their many unique properties. This contribution provides an overview of iron oxide mNPs used in environmental, biomedical, and clinical fields. The first part discusses the use of mNPs for environmental purposes, such as contaminant removal, remediation, and water treatment, with a focus on the use of zero-valent iron, magnetite （Fe304）, and maghemite （~,-Fe203） nanoparticles, either alone or incorporated onto membrane materials. The second part of this review elaborates on the use of mNPs in the biomedical and clinical fields with particular attention to the application of superparamag- netic iron oxide nanoparticles （SP1ONs）, which have gained research focus recently owing to their many desirable features such as biocompatibility, biodegradability, ease of synthesis and absence of hysteresis. The properties of mNPs and their ability to work at both cellular and molecular levels have allowed their application in vitro and in vivo including drug delivery, hyperthermia treatment, radio-therapeutics, gene delivery, and biotherapeutics. Physiochemical properties such as size, shape, and surface and magnetic properties as well as agglomeration of mNPs and methods to enhance their stability are also discussed.
