Three provinces including Long An, Tien Giang and dong Thap, located at dong Thap Muoi area in the Mekong Delta, belong to the southern key economic region of Vietnam. These provinces run from west to east with a vast network of rivers. Among them, VCD （Vam Co dong）, VCT （Vam Co Tay） and Soai Rap rivers are the three biggest rivers crossing the province. In recent years, the flows of rivers have changed a lot and saline intrusion has been very complicated. Salt water has intruded deeply into the field. In the 2000s, salt water only reached Tuyen Nhon （Thanh hoa district）, but now it has reached Vinh Hung district, about 50 km far from Tuyen Nhon. In 2016, the maximum of salinity in Xuan Khanh （Duc hoa district） in VCD river was 6.8‰ and Tuyen Nhon （Thanh hoa district） in VCT river was 5.2‰. In the coming years, the situation of salt intrusion is going to happen more unpredictable under effects of global climate change and sea level rise.

Vietnam is one of the countries with high biological diversity in the world but also greatly influenced by climate ***,it is necessary to have a solution for sustainable forest management through field surveys in permanent plots to study forest ecology,combining advanced GIS(Geographic Information System)technologies such as Google Earth,Global Mapper,*** monitor changes in forest structure and *** paper is based on the inheritance of the first measurement data in 2012 and directly measures in the second time after 5 years in 2017 at a 10-ha plot with ten 1-ha *** results show that the number of trees is the highest at the diameter class of 10-20 cm(this paper indicates that Google Earth software is one of the most effective GIS tools in planning biodiversity conservation strategies and natural resource management.

Rice （Oryza sativa） is sensitive to salinity, but the salt tolerance level differs among cultivars,which might result from natural variations in the genes that are responsible for salt tolerance. High-affinitypotassium transporter （HKTs） has been proven to be involved in salt tolerance in plants. Therefore, wescreened for natural nucleotide polymorphism in the coding sequence of OsHKT1, which encodes the HKTprotein in eight Vietnamese rice cultivars differing in salt tolerance level. In total, seven nucleotidesubstitutions in coding sequence of OsHKT1 were found, including two non-synonymous and five synonymoussubstitutions. Further analysis revealed that these two non-synonymous nucleotide substitutions （G50Tand T1209A） caused changes in amino acids （Gly17Val and Asp403Glu） at signal peptide and the loop ofthe sixth transmembrane domain, respectively. To assess the potential effect of these substitutions on theprotein function, the 3D structure of HKT protein variants was modelled by using PHYRE2 webserver. Theresults showed that no difference was observed when compared those predicted 3D structure of HKTprotein variants with each other. In addition, the codon bias of synonymous substitutions cannot clearlyshow correlation with salt tolerance level. It might be interesting to further investigate the functional roles ofdetected non-synonymous substitutions as it might correlate to salt tolerance in rice.

Background: The diagnosis of placental abruption is primarily clinical, but findings from imaging, laboratory, and postpartum pathologic studies can be used to support the clinical diagnosis. In patients with classic symptoms, fetal heart rate abnormalities, intrauterine fetal demise, and/or disseminated intravascular coagulation strongly support the clinical diagnosis and indicate extensive placental separation. In a few cases, placental separation has not been recognized and was only identified upon cesarean section as an incidental finding. Objectives: To describe the clinical presentations and pregnancy outcomes of placental abruption cases that are not diagnosed before cesarean delivery, termed “unpredictable placental abruption” and also cases diagnosed before cesarean delivery, termed “predictable placental abruption”. Methods: A retrospective analysis of 100 cases of placental abruption was identified by cesarean delivery at Tu Du hospital from September 2018 to May 2019. Clinical variables were compared between the unpredictable and predictable groups. The unpredictable group consists of cases that are not diagnosed before cesarean delivery, while the predictable cases were identified placental separation before cesarean delivery. The maternal and fetal outcomes were also studied. Results: In 100 cases of placental, abruption by gross clinical examination of the placenta at the time operation revealed that, 33% were unpredictable. Placental abruption attributed to maternal complications included one case of total hysterectomy (1%) with no cases of disseminated intravascular coagulation (DIC), shock or maternal death;specifically, this case of total hysterectomy appeared with predictable one. There were two cases of stillbirths. Among the 98 live neonates, 15 cases (14.7%) experienced severe birth asphyxia resulting in eight neonatal deaths;two of which were caused by heart disease and necrotizing enterocolitis. Sixty-thre

Textbooks,as one of the key components of language instruction,are closely related to the achievement of teaching and learning *** evaluation is regarded as an important means to the improvement of the quality of language *** present study was conducted to comparatively evaluate two editions of English textbooks for Vietnamese sixth graders,namely Tieng Anh 6(2002)and Tieng Anh 6 series(2011).The objectives of the study were to investigate(1)the strengths and weaknesses of the two editions,(2)the effectiveness of the two editions as English textbooks for sixth graders in Vietnam,and(3)the improvements that need to be made for the two *** research method employed in the study is a mixed approach,in which the quantitative data obtained from an online survey with 288 lower secondary English teachers across Vietnam are analyzed in combination with the qualitative data collected from the teachers' opinions and the student's books of the two *** evaluation is based on an evaluative checklist synthesized from checklists previously developed by various *** questionnaire used in the quantitative study,which includes 40 statement-type items,was developed from the checklist and had been tested for its reliability through Cronbach's a and item-total correlation tests before it was used in the main *** the analysis part,the two editions are evaluated against nine major criteria,namely General Appearance,Objectives,Teaching Principles and Methodology,Layout and Design,Topic Content,Activities and Tasks,Language Content,Language Skills,and Teachability and *** results of the descriptive statistics and independent-samples t-tests are then presented to evaluate and compare the two editions in terms of each *** results of the study reveal that the new edition surpasses the old edition in almost all of the nine factors in the *** research findings are summarized as follows:(1)Though the teacher-centere

Cancer is one of the most dangerous diseaseswith *** of the principal treatments is radiotherapy by using radiation beams to destroy cancer cells and this workflow requires a lot of experience and skill from doctors and *** our study,we focused on the 3D dose prediction problem in radiotherapy by applying the deeplearning approach to computed tomography(CT)images of cancer *** image data has more complex characteristics than normal image data,and this research aims to explore the effectiveness of data preprocessing and augmentation in the context of the 3D dose prediction *** proposed four strategies to clarify our hypothesis in different aspects of applying data preprocessing and *** strategies,we trained our custom convolutional neural network model which has a structure inspired by the U-net,and residual blocks were also applied to the *** output of the network is added with a rectified linear unit(Re-Lu)function for each pixel to ensure there are no negative values,which are absurd with radiation *** experiments were conducted on the dataset of the Open Knowledge-Based Planning Challenge which was collected from head and neck cancer patients treatedwith radiation *** results of four strategies showthat our hypothesis is rational by evaluating metrics in terms of the dose-score and the dose-volume histogram score(DVH-score).In the best training cases,the dose-score is 3.08 and the DVH-score is *** addition,we also conducted a comparison with the results of another study in the same context of using the loss function.
