Two-dimensional van der Waals(2D vdW)material-based heterostructure devices have been widely studied for high-end electronic applications owing to their heterojunction *** this study,we demonstrate graphene(Gr)-bridge heterostructure devices consisting of laterally series-connected ambipolar semiconductor/Gr-bridge/n-type molybdenum disulfide as a channel material for field-effect transistors(FET).Unlike conventional FET operation,our Gr-bridge devices exhibit nonclassical transfer characteristics(humped transfer curve),thus possessing a negative differential *** phenomena are interpreted as the operating behavior in two series-connected FETs,and they result from the gate-tunable contact capacity of the Gr-bridge ***-value logic inverters and frequency tripler circuits are successfully demonstrated using ambipolar semiconductors with narrow-and wide-bandgap materials as more advanced circuit applications based on non-classical transfer ***,we believe that our innovative and straightforward device structure engineering will be a promising technique for future multi-functional circuit applications of 2D nanoelectronics.

To overcome the intrinsic inefficiency of the von Neumann architecture,neuromorphic devices that perform analog vector–matrix multiplication have been highlighted for achieving power-and time-efficient data *** particular,artificial synapses,of which conductance should be programmed to represent the synaptic weights of the artificial neural network,have been intensively researched to realize neuromorphic ***,inspired by excitatory and inhibitory synapses,we develop an artificial optoelectronic synapse that shows both potentiation and depression characteristics triggered only by optical *** design of the artificial optoelectronic synapse,in which excitatory and inhibitory synaptic phototransistors are serially connected,enables these characteristics by spatiotemporally irradiating the phototransistor channels with optical ***,a negative synaptic weight can be realized without the need for electronic components such as *** such attributes,the artificial optoelectronic synapse is demonstrated to classify three digits with a high recognition rate(98.3%)and perform image preprocessing via analog vector-matrix multiplication.

Energy harvesting and light detection are key technologies in various emerging optoelectronic *** high absorption capability and bandgap tunability of organic semiconductors make them promising candidates for such ***,a poly(3-hexylthiophene-2,5-diyl)(P3HT):indene-C60 bisadduct(ICBA)bulk heterojunction-based organic photodiode(OPD)was reported,demonstrating dual functionality as an indoor photovoltaic(PV)and as a high-speed *** OPD demonstrated decent indoor PV performance with a power conversion efficiency(PCE)of(11.6±0.5)%under a light emitting diode(LED)lamp with a luminance of 1000 *** a photodetector,this device exhibited a decent photoresponsivity of 0.15 A/W(green light)with an excellent linear dynamic range(LDR)of over 127 dB within the optical power range of 3.74×10^(−7) to 9.6×10^(−2) W/cm^(2).Furthermore,fast photoswitching behaviors could be observed with the rising/falling times of 14.5/10.4μs and a cutoff(3 dB)frequency of 37 *** results might pave the way for further development of organic optoelectronic applications.

Significance of incidental focal fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose uptake in colon/rectum,thyroid,and prostate:With a brief literature review

BACKGROUND Fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography/computed tomography(F-18 FDG PET/CT),a functional imaging method,is usually performed on the entire torso,and regions of unexpected suspicious focal hypermetabolism are not infrequently *** the regions,colon,thyroid,and prostate were found to be the common organs in a recent umbrella *** studies reported that a high rate of malignancy was shown in incidentally identified focal hypermetabolic regions and suggested that further examinations should not be *** To investigate the malignancy rate of incidental focal FDG uptake,useful PET parameters and their cutoffs in discrimination between malignant and benign *** Retrospectively,the final reports of 16510 F-18 FDG PET/CT scans performed at our hospital between January 2016 and March 2022 were reviewed to identify incidentally observed FDG uptake in the colon/rectum,thyroid,and *** scans of patients with current or prior malignancies at each corresponding location,without the final reports of histopathology or colonoscopy(for colon and rectum)for the corresponding hypermetabolic regions,or with diffuse(not focal)hypermetabolism were ***,88 regions of focal colorectal hypermetabolism in 85 patients(48 men and 37 women with mean age 67.0±13.4 years and 63.4±15.8 years,respectively),48 focal thyroid uptakes in 48 patients(12 men and 36 women with mean age 62.2±13.1 years and 60.8±12.4 years,respectively),and 39 focal prostate uptakes in 39 patients(mean age 71.8±7.5 years)were eligible for this *** those unexpected focal hypermetabolic regions,rates of malignancy were calculated,PET parameters,such as standardized uptake value(SUV),capable of distinguishing between malignant and benign lesions were investigated,and the cutoffs of those PET parameters were determined by plotting receiver operating characteristic *** In the colon and rectum,29.5%(26/88)were malignant and 33.0%(2

Unexpected focal fluorodeoxyglucose uptake in main organs;pass through or pass by?

Since the inception of fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose(F-18 FDG),positron emission tomography/computed tomography(PET/CT)utilizing F-18 FDG has become widely accepted as a valuable imaging modality in the field of oncology,with global prevalence in clinical *** that a single Torso PET/CT scan encompasses the anatomical region from the skull base to the upper thigh,the detection of incidental abnormal focal hypermetabolism in areas of limited clinical interest is both feasible and not *** investigations have been undertaken to delineate the distinctive features of these findings,yet the outcomes have proven *** incongruent results of these studies present a challenge for physicians,leaving them uncertain about the appropriate course of *** article provides a succinct overview of the characteristics of fluorodeoxyglucose,followed by a comprehensive discussion of the imaging findings and clinical significance associated with incidental focal abnormal F-18 FDG activity in several representative *** conclusion,while the prevalence of unrecognized malignancy varies across organs,malignancies account for a substantial proportion,ranging from approximately one-third to over half,of incidental focal *** light of these rates,physicians are urged to exercise vigilance in not disregarding unexpected uptake,facilitating more assured clinical decisions,and advocating for further active evaluation.

Assessment of incidental focal colorectal uptake by analysis of fluorine-18 fluorodeoxyglucose positron emission tomography parameters

Numerical evaluation of buckling behavior in space structure considering geometrical parameters with joint rigidity

The buckling behavior of single layer space structure is very sensitive. The joint rigidity, moreover, is one of the main factors of stability which may determine the entire failure behavior. Thus, the reasonable stiffness of joint system, which is neither total pin assumption nor perfect fix condition, is very important to apply to the real single layer space one. Therefore, the purpose of this work was to investigate the buckling behavior of single layer space structure, using the development of the upgraded stiffness matrix for the joint rigidity. To derive tangential stiffness matrix, a displacement function was assumed using translational and rotational displacement at the node. The geometrical nonlinear analysis was simulated not only with perfect model but also with imperfect one. As a result, the one and two free nodal numerical models were investigated using derived stiffness matrix. It was figured out that the buckling load increases in proportion to joint rigidity with rise-span ratio. The stability of numerical model is very sensitive with the initial imperfection, responding of bifurcation in the structure.

N-terminal pro-B-type natriuretic peptide as prognostic marker for patients of non ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction

In this work, we analyzed only the patients of the NSTEMI (non ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction) who arrived at the hospital within 12 h after symptoms started. Using NSTEMI follow-up data within, the characteristics of the clinical data, the risk factor, and the blood tested in the hospital visit were analyzed for MACE (major adverse cardiac events) patients. MACE includes cardiac death, MI (myocardial infarction), Re-PCI, and CABG (coronary artery bypass graft). As a result, from the NSTEMI patients which can be followed up for over 12 m, NT-ProBNP (p=0.014) and age (p=0.045) are found to be the independent risk factors related to MACE. Accordingly, they can be useful for the diagnosis and prognosis for NSTEMI patients as a biomarker.

Cyber Spatiotemporal as Media Culture： A Cognitive Level Study of Time （Tempo） and Space （Spatial） Based on Media Types

This research explores media users＇ cognition of ＂time＂ and ＂space＂ across different media platforms, and conducts a comparison among media genres including mass media and intemet media based on user＇s interactivities. Especially, this research focused on the internet＇s space and time perception based on communication genres such as e-mail, Blogs, portals, news-media, e-commerce, and social media （SNS）. The research adopted two theories （construal level theory of time and space）. The time related theory is ＂temporal distance theory＂. The space related theory is ＂media space＂. The research is designed to measure user＇s perception of interactivity, time-construal level and its media space cognition while using the media. There are two independent variables： Interactivities （contents, user, and media levels） and user involvement （CMC-user vs. user, HCI-user vs. media）; there are two dependent variables： Cognition of spatial and temporal levels. This research also seeks the associated variables relationship among those variables through the structural equation model （SEM）. The 307 data was collected and analyzed to test the research question. The results show that the dimension of the media side＇s interactivity affected media＇s usage time and space perception. There are 2 ~ 2 factors variables to affect time and space. One is human and media interaction （HC1） and human to human communication （CMC）; the other is traditional mass media （one-way communication） and interuet media （two-ways communication）. The results prove the user＇s perception for media time and space is based on the levels of interactivity. The levels of interactivities depend on media usage： one-one, one-many, synchronous, asynchronous, interpersonal, and social network communication. Online media provides greater social space; while traditional media tends toward para-space perception. On the other hand, the users＇ time cognitions between online media are different such as fixed time versus cyber-time.
